Always have a great experience at Harvest. First time for lunch. Our entrees were not as a great as the dinner entrees we have ordered in the past which have been consistently outstanding. Will definitely return to try something else.

Cute restaurant in downtown Danville. Good Cubano, crispy fries. Deviled eggs were a little bland. Great service. Looks like it would be a fun hang out in the summer on the patio.

This beautiful eatery fits beautifully within Danville! The Whiskey flights are a fantastic addition for such a clean and delicious menus. Loved it all!!

I am not sure why there were so many service problems on Sunday but the food did not arrive in a timely manner , One order was wrong and my food should have been hot but was not.

Our experience couldn't have been better! The food was impeccable (don't miss the kale salad), and the service was extraordinary. We had a great time from beginning to end.

Yes for a first visit, or starters and drinks. However having been going since it opened, the menu is pretty much the same apart from the occasional change. If it is seasonal, I would expect it to change all year, so we are struggling to find something we haven't had several times.

A good spot for dinner with a friend. Wait staff was nice but a little green. We ordered the tasting menu but, we were confused about what we were actually going to get because there were so many changes made to it post printing. Would have been better if they had reprinted the menu.

Three strikes on this one for us. The first time we dined at this restaurant, in February 2018, we had a fairly nice meal, although the artichoke was still cold/almost frozen inside, and the service was a bit slow despite the fact that we were one of only a few parties. The second time we visited, six months later, we literally waited for our meal for one full hour before giving up. We had checked in with our server a number of times and kept getting the "it's on its way" explanation, which clearly wasn't true. We also watched plenty of tables, seated after us, receive their meals. As we were preparing to leave, the restaurant manager apologized profusely, asked us to wait longer so that they could prepare our order to go, and gave us a $25 gift card, which was appreciated. The third time we dined here, just the other night, service was again extremely slow, perhaps due to a large private party; the water tasted terrible, as though the water glasses had not been washed thoroughly; and and my sea bass was not cooked all the way through.

I will say the restaurant is beautiful and the servers are friendly, but since we are 0 for 3 on having a meal without some kind of issue, we'll likely pass on this restaurant going forward.

I got the beet salad and the tomato bisque they were DELICIOUS! As appetizers we got the shishito peppers and the deviled eggs. I loved the peppers but the eggs weren’t my favorite but I also don’t care for smoked salmon which was on top of the deviled eggs. If you’re looking for a place that’s quiet so you can enjoy good conversation, this is not the place. It was VERY loud inside. Overall I enjoyed my experience here and would return.

I had booked the reservation on Open Table and about a half hour past our check in time, I received an email notification that we had missed our reservation. (We were sitting down at the restaurant at the time. The hostess never checked off that we had arrived.) The service, overall here, has just gone downhill. It has been a trend in the past year in nicer restaurants that service hasn’t been up to par and sadly, this was the case for Harvest as well. The drink service was slow and the food was way too salty for both of our choices (I had the fresh fish special, Sea Bass, and husband had the sirloin) We’ve been to Harvest many times since their “soft opening” when they were named Almanac. Have had decent food and service each time previously. This reservation was different as they were wide open for seating on a Saturday night. Not a great sign, generally. We had thought we got lucky at first. The big party seated next to us was so loud, my husband and I could barely have a conversation. It was a lousy experience, overall. Very little attention from wait staff, sub par meal, noisy ambience...not expected for such a “high end” restaurant. Hoping it was a fluke. Due to good past experiences, we’d probably give it one more chance.

Came in after a busy brunch shift but wouldn’t have noticed if the server didn’t say anything. We appreciated the heads up but everything went perfect. Food was out in perfect time, server had perfect suggestions. Drinks were perfect. All around awesome.

Two of us ordered the fish of the day...some type of sea bass which was served over “risotto”. There was literally a piece of fish that was 2” x 2” and cut in half. The dish was filled with risotto which was more like a saucy polenta...good but nightly caloric.
There was nothing else, a few pieces of kale or chard and it was $35.00. Very disappointing.

This place is just not worth it. The food is exceptionally average and expensive. I get that it will always take a long time to be served here, however, when the food is served, it was not worth the wait. I had the burger and it was ok, though small. The fries were blond and heavily salted. The tea was good. Frankly, I have been three times now and will not go back. For three of us at lunch, after tax and tip it was $85. That include one glass of $12 chardonnay.

They were totally understaffed during Presidents’ Day. They switched our waiter, because he had to man the other side of the restaurant but we didn’t know. So we had to ask different waiters for our food and check. The wait was longer than actually eating the food. The truffle popcorn was overpriced and tasted just like reg popcorn. The beets salad was also nothing special. And the burger was just ok. The hushpuppies were the only decent appetizer we had. And For some reason, you can’t sit more than 4 ppl at a table which is inconvenient for large groups. I wouldn’t come back again.

Great staff and ambiance. However food did not live up to the cost/expectations. Egg scramble was well cooked although more on the salty side and the French toast came with burnt crust and soggy interior. Fruit that came with the toast was quite nice though.

We went to Danville Harvest to celebrate a friend’s birthday. Upon arrival, no one was at the hostess station and we waited for several minutes. There was a nice offering of hot cider, which turned out to be empty pot. We were seated and service started out well. We placed our orders and waited, and waited, and waited... We did not order drinks or appetizers. Our meat arrived an hour after we sat down. This is after we had to flag down a different server as ours had gone MIA. She advised many orders had gone in all at once but tables that were seated after us already had their food.
In my request for a gluten free option, my meal was missing the blue crab, fish and sausage (this may have had gluten) and arrived with only shrimp in the jambalaya. My friend ordered the same (not gluten free) with only shrimp and sausage. We didn’t realize until part way in and decided we were too hungry to wait if they were to remake. Our other guest ordered the fish special, she is vegetarian. The server gave the description and seemed to leave out the detail that it was covered with pork belly. Dessert menus came and as we were making our selection, the wait staff shows up with a birthday dessert and candle for my friend. A nice gesture BUT it was an item off the menu, a blondie brownie with bananas and a banana cream. My friend hates bananas!!!! Nice birthday dessert, not. If you offer a menu and then bring something off it, why not wait and let us order and put a candle in hers? Or just offer a free dessert of choice. We each took a bite to be polite, paid and left.

I don’t think I can recommend or return. Too bad as this is a really attractive place.

The service is slow. Took a long time to order. There was not a lot of post food follow up, like can we get you a refill, is everything ok etc. Menu for weekend lunch is actually a brunch/lunch combo, this made it hard to choose a main choice - the weekday lunch menu was more comprehensive. We asked if they could by chance do a cheese tray, as it’s on the weekday lunch menu - nope. We liked it enough for what it was but won’t be back due to the above mentioned. The appetizer hush puppies and blueberry scones - good.
