   An excellent “Red Sauce” wine dinner overall. Wines, calamari, rigatoni, salad, cannoli were very good. The veal Marsala was disappointing - chunks of bland veal with not very flavorful sauce. Was hoping for scallopini with a vibrant Marsala sauce as have had many times in good Italian restaurants. Otherwise great meal.

   Attended our first wine dinner at Dante last night. Overall, it was a great experience and we would like to do it again. Pros The salad, pasta, and dessert courses shined! I don’t eat veal and requested a second salad instead. The chef was very accommodating and swapped the protein for me making chicken marsala. This was greatly appreciated! Cons The calamari was good but could have used a hit of salt. Our water glasses ran dry more than once. Live music, good idea, not well executed. It was far too loud for the space.

    We love Dante for all of the reasons anyone should love a restaurant. We started with the calamari, which included crispy potatoes and a lemon aioli. It was amazing! Entrees were mushroom risotto and oxtail sugo over gnocchi. Both were also fantastic. Finally, our favorite dessert, butterscotch budino ended the night. Dante is always outstanding in every way!

    Have been to Dante numerous times and enjoy their cuisine very much. Since our last visit (maybe six or eight months back) the menu prices seem to have jumped significantly - pizzas now almost uniformly $25 apiece. Drinks are up likewise (bottled beers from $9). Fine, restaurants are under enormous stress still, as fallout from the pandemic. However, when a restaurant raises prices to this point, the service better be top-notch. Not so on our Saturday lunchtime visit yesterday. The problem was that we were kept waiting a fairly long time after our party of four was all assembled. There were two waiters on the floor at that point (midway through our time there a third showed up), and they were hustling. It was busy enough that they should have had that extra person from the get-go. Our waiter had a knack for avoiding looking in our direction, even as he passed close by. So, he'd stare ahead at the wall when leaving another table, or would look down at his feet, when he should have been surveying his tables to see if anyone needed anything. And we did. So we had to ask other waiters to let our waiter know we had a request. Not cool, especially at these prices. Lunch for four including three beers and a pizza to go came to just shy of $200 (w/tip, $225) and that was after I had to have him re-calculate the bill, since he'd charged me $50 for my $40 risotto. Truffle risotto, granted, but still...a simple rice dish for $40. At least get the price right! Forgot to mention that he completely forgot the side salad I'd ordered, though he took that off the bill before calculating it the first time. I'm sorry, Dante Pizzeria, but when you start charging gourmet prices, you'd better deliver gourmet service.

    Other than being in a strip mall this place is always a favorite when taking my family in the suburbs out for dinner. Sad the Blackstone location is closed.

    Unfortunately the pizza was really burnt on top and soggy and doughy on the bottom. The pizzas of other diners were also burnt beyond recognition. The basil pasta & seafood didn’t taste like there was any basil flavor at all! Very bland but the seafood was cooked good! Was really looking forward to dining here but unfortunately three out of four were disappointed with the entrees. The gelato flight was good! The wait staff worked hard & we’re great- unfortunately they were so swamped & behind that there was a lot of people waiting.

    I understand being a holiday that tends to be busy, but I didn’t expect the pace to be as slow as it was with an early reservation (4:15pm). It just looked as though they were behind the 8-ball the entire time. We sat for nearly 10 minutes before being greeted with our beverage order being slow to follow. Our app order came out within 10 minutes, but our entrees were about 35 minutes after our app. The table that was sat next to us was experiencing the same pace and when they received their beverage order, their bottle of wine was served with rocks glasses as I’m assuming they were out of wine glasses (I personally would have sent back the wine). With this being said, the server was extremely nice and the food was phenomenal. We will be back as this is not traditionally the type of dining experience we have come to know here. Just an off night, but a little disappointing when spending $100+ a person.

    Every time my daughter comes home from college she always wants to have dinner at Dante! Menu is quite unique and the quality is excellent! We always look forward to the amazing desserts and the service was top notch!

    Festive atmosphere and intriguing menu. This time we decided to skip the pizza and go for mor exotic dishes. My Squid Ink Crab dish was complex and spicy. It seemed to get better as I ate it. However, my wife found the Truffle Risotto to be too salty and not worthy of the $50 price tag. Wine selection was very good and my Manhattan was perfect. Service was excellent even though the staff seemed to be a bit strained. Not the best but will return to try other interesting dishes!

    Excellent food. Service was excellent too despite the holiday crowd. Wine list is always great at Dante too. Staff were patient and courteous. I always have positive experience at Dante - they never disappoint.
