Great upscale bar food. We don’t live near New Trier but try and stop in whenever we can on our way to or from the Twin Cities. We are never disappointed.

First time there and it was amazing! Atmosphere was a little loud, however you should expect that in a bar. We had the all you can eat fish fry which was totally awesome. The in house tartar sauce was excellent. They should bottle the tartar sauce and sell it, it is that amazing and flavorful. The waitress did and excellent job and was very polite. I recommend Dan’s Bar and Grill! It will be well worth your drive!

So good! We had a late reservation and it was packed! Did not disappoint. Even though they were busy service was top notch. Got drinks and appetizers, Brussels sprouts and walleye egg roles. Just amazing. Dinner we had all you can eat fish fry, lobster Mac and cheese (so yummy) a burger, and steak. Everyone loved their dishes. Will be back again!

We had a reservation and we were seated quickly but a worker had not approached our table for twenty minutes to take our initial order. After we ordered our food it took an additional 35-40 minutes to get our food. We went to order dessert which they said was an additional 20 minutes and the waitress said we were out of time for the next people who wants the table. They had a 90 minute time for each table which we were spent waiting on our items more than anything. I did not even have time to finish my last drink. Ridiculous

Dan’s is always the best. Service and food is the best I live in Red Wing and it’s worth the drive. Love that you can make reservations online and it works. Keep up the GREAT WORK DAN’S

With the town population of 86, was very surprised at what a great place this was. Food was great. Staff was great. Our son was the one who suggested Dan's. On our way home from the cities an a perfect place to meet. We will go back again. Thank you to the staff at Dan's. Keep up the good work !

I recently took a friend, who hadn't been to Dan's Bar & Grill before, there for lunch. She had the turkey club and was very pleasantly surprised with the quality/tastiness of the sandwich. She's looking forward to our next outing there. High praise from someone whose husband owned a fine dining restaurant for many years. I always enjoy my meals here, and never walk away hungry.

I think you would make a lot more money if the drinks from the bar were made consistently vs. how a bar tender chooses to make them. Sometimes they are good, sometimes not - it heavily depends on who you get. An example is Dan's Old Fashioned. Dave needs to take the time to train his bar tenders to make it like he does. My friends and I would throw cash on the bar all night long if they made them the way he does.

Burgers and potato salad were great, but two of us had the clam chowder soup. Soup was not up to their usual taste standards. Might never order that soup again. Not many clams and was watery.
