Daniel's Broiler - Leschi Ratings and Reviews
Our server's name was Melissa. She was absolutely delightful. We were their celebrating my wife's birthday and she made sure that my wife felt special. Experiences like these keep me coming back to your establishment. Great service, great food, great ambiance.
Took my daughter and her spouse for dinner here her birthday. I had never been to this location but the view of Lake Washington and Downtown Seattle was very scenic. Our server, Melissa was absolutely AWESOME! She was friendly and extreme knowledgeable when we asked her questions. The Rib-eyes and Porterhouse we ordered were all spot on med-rare and delicious.
We will not be returning nor will we recommend this restaurant to others. Here’s why, the 20% service charge. Then we are taxed on that service charge. So you have hiked up the price because of (what we were told) the city of Seattle makes the restaurant do it. The manager said to us that she couldn’t remove the 20%. This conversation took place before we had ordered our dinner. We will eat somewhere else that doesn’t make you pay for a 20% service charge. So blackmail is not a good thing for a restaurant. We should have left right then and there. Never again!
Exceptional service, thank you Macy. A very enjoyable, special family dinner. Tried the vegan options and I was very impressed. The rest of the family tried salmon and roasted chicken. All of the food was cooked to perfection. Appetizers... very good! Vegan tofu app, so good!!!
This used to be a gem of a brunch spot. This last visit was very disappointing, the staff was inattentive, we had to ask multiple times for water and bread to start. The food arrived 50min later and was cold and greasy. To top it off they required 20% service charge and there was no manager around to discuss. We ended up running late to our next appointment and will never return. Sad to see what poor management has done to once a lovely brunch place with amazing view, food and service.
Service needs improvement. Even with a reservation I had to wait at least 15 mins, also a long wait between being seated and being approached by wait staff, the bill was calculated incorrectly resulting in another wait.
The table by the window was lovely, the food was good, and free parking was greatly appreciated.
The service was not up to our usual expectation for an experience at Daniel’s. Having an included 20% service fee leaves little option to express dissatisfaction. The service fee is not the option of the restaurant but a govt mandate, but still. Having to pay separately for each soda is odd. While influenced by the new soda tax, cmon. In the future, we’ll stay in Bellevue.....
Awesome place to go for a special occasion. I say special occasion because it is pricey. Food is the best. Had filet. Melt in your mouth delicious . View is spectacular. The only thing that was up setting was it was freezing cold in the dining room. I wished I'd had a parka to put on. It got pretty uncomfortable that when it was time for desert I asked my hubby if we could just go. I couldn't stand it any longer. I really wanted the chocolate chip cookie too!
I had been a long standing customer but haven't been back since you implemented the 20% gratuity to be included in the price. My family and I decided to try Daniel's again since it had been our go-to restaurant for special occasions previously. We were disappointed, the area we were seated was freezing as we didn't have dinner until 8:00. Our waiter was nice, but seemed to disappear off and on. Our appetizers were cold and not cooked enough. Steaks were good, but overall, not up to the standard it once was. With the 20% added, your wait staff's attention to detail has lapsed, even our children said, it wasn't like when you used to bring us. They were to be your future customers, but probably not now.
Honestly, brunch/lunch was less than expected, for the price, and after frequenting the Bellevue and Seattle Daniels locations.
I will say that 1/2 our party was 15 minutes late to our reservation; completely our fault, thank you for the coffee service to those waiting. There were only 3 -5 tables max occupied during our visit.
To be fair, I didn't comment to the server or manager at the time of the visit and I haven't been to the other locations for the lunch menu. And I have heard good things about dinner at the Leschi location. It is a beautiful view.
Not my favorite dinging experience at Daniel's. I usually go to Bellevue location. Tried Leschi for dinner. Would not recommend going here for dinner. They are not at the top of their game at this location....and its very basic. Took forever to get our meal because they could not cook my steak properly.....probably had to wait an hour for a restaurant that probably had 5 other parties dining. Wont be coming back to this location again.
We were seated quickly but our server didn't come by for 10 minutes...but once we got our orders in, things improved. Until the special dessert arrived- which tasted great- but there was some plastic wrapping that somehow got in the dessert. The server responded quickly and Kay the manager comped the drinks and side dish. I'd give it one more try because the food was good.
I was surprised that the high priced steaks was not grass-fed and the salmon dish was farmed salmon. The food tasted very good and was prepared well but I was expecting that the origins of the food would be better. We had gift cards from the Holidays but I would not be going back.
All of us ordered from a wide selection of entrees, the appetizer , teriyaki beef was great, my scallops perfect. One of us ordered hamburger with fries , he said it was the best he ever had, it wasn’t on the dinner menu but they accommodate him. Lobster salad very good. The view outstanding , my favorite restaurant .
We had a fantastic dinner at Daniel's. It was our first time at the Leschi Daniel's and we loved it. The ambience was lovely and although we dined at night, the setting and view looked beautiful. The meals were delicious and perfectly prepared. Our server was very attentive and didn't miss a beat.
I was seated next to the exit door to the patio. There were towels laid down to prevent cold air from leaking thru. I also noticed cob webs around the door. Food was so so. My ribeye steak was done fine but the sauce on top was a little rich.
Recommend thorough cleaning in the dining area.
For my budget it was very expensive ($125), but for our 37th anniversary it was OK. 37 is a prime number, so I thought prime beef would fit the occasion. It was the best Fillet Mignon I've had in years, and cooked just right. Service was very cordial. And we got a complimentary dessert since it was a special occasion. I did not like being forced into valet parking. I'd rather park it myself. And that added $5 to the bill. The view over the marina was good, but it was dark. Would have enjoyed more light to look at the boats, but that is not the restaurant's fault. Overall, it was a good experience.
The bacon-wrapped scallops were excellent! The shrimp "scampi" came without sauce, and the waiter neglected to inform us of that, or to recommend one of those which we (later) realized were printed on the menu. The Ora King salmon was adequate, 'tho the fig sauce was very good.
Overall, not worth the extraordinary expense.
However, with the one exception noted above, our waiter was very good.
I paid the holiday premium, I understood this going in. We were sat at a small table in the center of the room, they were busy and I understand this too. However my understanding ends here. We had to ask the host for coat check on our way to the table, the server was slow to greet us and we had to ask for them to fill our water glasses. The restaurant was cold and I had to take off my jacket and give it to my date. The food was comparable to a family style restaurant and I was embarrassed with my choice when my date said "Next time it's my treat and I'll take you to Ruth's Chris".
We have allergy & vegan & since they have a vegan menu, we go here time to time. Today’s meal was before Macklemore concert. Food was good. Price was ridiculously expensive. $50 for an entree. As a vegan, paying $25 for what you can get at another restaurant for half that was insane. Service was good, but their knowledge of ingredients & allergies were frustratingly limited. All their food naturally use butter & they put cheese in everything so make sure you clarify that beforehand.
