Monday is my routine here since LUC closed. Even before that pre-COVID19 on Thursday on my way home for happy hour! Certainly that has caused all restaurants much difficulties! I still find it very pleasant with good food and their renoun service

We went on a Sunday night for my son’s birthday.
I guess during the day there is a great view of the harbor and the water, but when dark the restaurant itself wasn’t anything special. In fact the silverware looked cheap, like from a cafeteria. It was 6:30 pm and they were already out of several items on the menu, including the salmon which I was looking forward to. We ordered starters, which were brought out within 5 minutes. I understand that being fast is consider good service, but when going to such an upscale restaurant I also want to enjoy the ambiance. Because I am vegetarian and they were out of the salmon, I asked the waiter if I could get just a plate of veggies. He seemed annoyed but took the order. 10 minutes later we got the main course, we were barely done with the starter, which was very good. Calamari and wedge salad.
The main course was great. We also had desert which was average. We were in and out in 1 hour.
Not exactly what I expected for a place where a the least expensive meal is $60.
overall I feel that the waiter was ok, not unfriendly, but also not very attentive.
Again, good food, but service was not appropriate for the upscale experience that they want to provide and charge for.

Everything about our experience was great with the exception of slower than normal service. But their was a party going on upstairs so that might have contributed to the slower service. As my wife said “ the server can’t bring us our food until the kitchen is done preparing it”

I thought the entree's were extremely overpriced and I wasn't aware of their service charge policy until I was seated. We almost left thinking that our food was actually going to be another 20% above listed prices. I am always a generous tipper for great service, but wasn't sure what was going to the server and the rest of the team. I will never eat at a Daniels Broiler again.

Went there with the family for thanksgiving dinner. We were seated on the balcony on the canopy at 40 degrees weather, a few ground and overhead heaters were set up which were not nearly enough.
They had an abbreviated menu which said 20% service charge was “included”, since they are good employers… We placed our orders and waited for the appetizer which was autumn charcuterie with a total of two slices of salami for 5 people and a few pieces of pickles and cheese. When I complained to our server a tall woman showed up to see if we were “ok”. When I asked her who she was she said she was the manager so I pointed out the size of the appetizer for 5 and she simply said it was supposed to be appetizer and offered to send some bread. In the meantime the food runner arrived with our soup/salad course and managed to misplace all of the orders on the table, like 100%. The bread basket arrived which i tried and found out they were at least 2 -3 days too and rewarmed “to order”. At this point we are freezing and upset with the service. The main course arrived I had ordered turkey which was good but my family had ordered steaks which were under seasoned and somewhat off the proper temperature. Dessert options included ice creams and pumpkin pie which I think was from Costco. The bill was about $580 for 5 and they had “included” the 20% service charge on top already.
Overall horrible experience with over priced mediocre food ( including Costco quality pumpkin pie). But the service was the worse part. Not recommended at all.

The service was average or below for the price on thanksgiving day. The staff were tired and unenthusiastic, ready to go home. The prime rib, while a large piece, was tough and not properly aged. Definitely not worthy of the 20% surcharge they place on your bill as a mandatory gratuity - and I probably won’t come back here next time, maybe try another Daniel’s Broiler elsewhere.

Steak was very under cooked first time, and potatoes were cold. Got me a née steak which was cooked great but under seasoned and still cold potatoes. Brought me née hot potatoes after steak was gone. We come here every thanksgiving and this was balmy far not the best experience we have had

This was Thanksgiving dinner in a tent. It was freezing. They were a couple of heaters on the floor and one or two overhead. I just didn’t do the job.

The food came in the mashed potatoes were cold. Otherwise, the food was OK. But this lack of quality is not part of Daniels mission. My wife and I were sorely disappointed. For $300, our Thanksgiving dinner was a bust. Never again.

Thanksgiving dinner - waited over 30 minutes to get seated. We were sat outside under a canopy where it was freezing cold, extremely loud and we had water dripping on my companion and I throughout our entire meal. They were obviously overwhelmed with the volume of people but weren’t short staffed at all, just poor operational aptitude.

Ww were presented with an abbreviated holiday menu which I wasn’t told about when I called to make the reservation (I specifically asked about having steak and lobster on thanksgiving and was told “theirs was the best”).

My first entree was cold as a rock and it was obvious it had been sitting there getting cold while my partners salmon was being prepared. It was quickly remedied but at that point I was over it. The waiter was nice and relatively attentive but admitted he was overwhelmed and kept thanking us for our patience (never a good sign).

Overall it was an extremely poor experience…the “outside” seating was a joke, the noise level barely tolerable and the cold and dripping water was inexcusable. That’s before the lackluster food. I most definitely won’t be back, best of luck…

This Daniels location is so tired. Decor needed to be updated 10 years ago coupled with no ambience, unless you like big band music from the 40's. Service is ok. Food is good, but not better than Jacks. We will continue to go to the Daniels at Lake Union which is outstanding in comparison.

We have been going to this Daniels since 1979 when it originally opened. They have aways delivered the best food and ambiance. Being next to the lake in a former boat house has always been a wonderful experience for all. Their food preparation and delivery are second to none.

I enjoyed Daniel's Broiler since there were a couple of plant based options.
My Plant based burger was delicious and big.

One of the guests ordered Lobster and said it was delicious with lots of lobster bits in it.

Another guest ordered a steak and thought it was good and tender.

Our server was very attentive and checked on us several times to make sure we were doing good.

We had a window table as requested.

We were able to enjoy our dinner at a leisurely pace and did not feel rushed.

Had the 28oz porterhouse and it was perfect. I like med well which many steakhouses don't get right because the chef thinks steak should be rare. It was amazing and I almost finished it. Boyfriend had the lamb and said it was great. Overall... Daniel's has always been a class act steakhouse.

Have been a fan of Daniels for over twenty years. and always had a pleasant experience. I had a particular dining experience most recently as I was celebrating the completion of a special and complex medical procedure with my grand niece. The staff, dining and the fellowship were awesome. Thank you.

Our server was attentive and excellent. There was a women (didn't identify herself) who came to check on the wellness of my steak, pulled out a flash light inspecting it while I was looking at it. It was somewhat invasive.

I've never had this type of experience before.

Wow I’m surprised they are still in business! Nice service, lovely venue, great location. But…
Bay shrimp salad was delicious and I should have stopped there. Bacon-wrapped scallops were fine. Brussels sprouts were an “up size” suggestion from our server that I should gave declined. Husband’s lamb tasted “greasy” (and he loves lamb) and was quite disappointing. For these prices !!???? Never again; sorry. MAYBE happy hour…

I received a notification that my reservation had been changed 1.5 hrs before we were supposed to be there. The hostess claimed that somebody called in with my first and last name and changed my reservation to a different day and said that there was nothing she could do other than seat us outside. My Daniels cut fillet Oscar style, came out without the crab, asparagus or sauce. The server brought the extras on a separate plate after I informed him of the mistake, I waited and ate my $120 steak cold, removing crab shells as I chewed. My fiancé ordered the salmon and it was uncooked and soupy in the middle as if it had been frozen, the asparagus was undercooked. The Caesar salad was ok and the mashed potatoes and Calamari were great. All in all we spent $320 (after I asked the server to please remove the Oscar style from the bill) and we left feeling like we could have gone to the butcher and created a better experience for ourselves. The price is not what This poor review is about, as we have had great experiences at the Bellevue location. The experience with the Leschi location was shady from the start and the dining experience was terrible. We will not be returning to the Leschi location, or recommending Daniels Broiler to anyone in the future.

What a very expensive disappointment. I love Daniel’s in Bellevue, it’s classy and worthy of the menu prices. This location is below expectations in almost every possible way. The food was just ok, the atmosphere was more like a diner or sports bar than an elegant experience and the service, considering 20% is automatically included was definitely NOT earned. Won’t be back again.

We ate outside (inside was totally booked) our table was situated on the vey end by the lake. We were quite close to the table next to us, they were having a great time but it was noisy and to top it off the music was blaring above our table. The server was terrific and the food was excellent.

Ever ever it is always perfect! such a tender superbly grilled medium rare rib eye steak, with perfect sides of garlic mashed and spinach salad with egg, bacon, pecans, crisp leaves and tangy dressing. Creme brule wonderful. Professional service and beautiful lake side ambiance.
