Great server, very attentive.
The food was great. Our server was great. The evening was great. But I was not happy to know that the 20% service charge goes to the company when I believe the server should have received it. After all, he did all excellent the work to deserved it. I ended up giving him extra in cash to make sure he got his share.
Disappointing. Normally a big fan of Daniel’s. Had a reservation, yet front staff seemed challenged to coordinate a table. Ask if it was a special occasion, which it was (Anniversary). No further acknowledgment of it. Brought out steak and asked if it was prepared to my liking(medium). I noted it looked medium/well and was told it looked medium to her. Ordered blue cheese topping for steak. Arrived with pitcher of salad dressing. Oh and the rolls were dry and bland. Thankfully the wine and view were great.
The attitude of the hostess was not the best welcoming one. Wayne was a great waiter.
Delicious meal, beautiful view and excellent service. Food is quite expensive although portions are generous. A wonderful place for a special occasion. A bit too expensive for me for anything otherwise.

We had a special family lunch planned, and it was disappointing overall. For the pricing and overall feel of "fancy" it really underwhelmed. My salad was wilted, the only other lunch party was seated immediately next to us -- which was unnecessarily disruptive, and the steaks were fine. Fine is definitely not the word I was hoping to use for such a well-regarded place. I would definitely not return.
The food was stellar. The drinks were fantastic, and the service was top notch. I would definitely recommend this location!

My husband planned my birthday dinner @ Daniels Broiler Leschi while we were visiting Seattle. We had a beautiful table outside where it was quiet and very relaxing. We had Sparkling Rosè and lobster and Rib Eye. Very impressed with the food quality. It was all delicious. The coffee drinks were amazing too! We really enjoyed the meal and Ashley L. was a wonderful server. We will be back on our next Washington visit.

This place is way overpriced for the quality of food you receive. Spending an average of $85 on an entree alone, everything should be perfect. All of the hollandaise had broke. The cook on our steaks was OK but uneven. The $16 cocktails were a very short pour, only filled half the martini glass. When we mentioned this to our waiter she said that “the liquor is exactly measured out”. On top of it all, you’re automatically charged 20% service charge and ONLY half of it goes to the service staff (who did an excellent job, and therefore deserve way more than a 10% tip)
I wouldn’t be so annoyed with the quality if these were $20-$40 entrees, but they’re not.
We feel scammed by the owners of this restaurant. They’re raking in so much and providing so little in return.

For the cost of our bill, Daniel’s Broiler didn’t “Wow” us. I see no reason to return. We like Salty’s on Alki the most.

I believe their menu is overpriced considering the quality and the execution of the dishes.
For sure is a place for a celebration but not for a casual night out.

We took my sister to lunch for her birthday. She loved her spinach/pecan salad. My husband and I shared appetizers, and ordered chowder and salads. We left satisfied and well cared for. When I asked the hostess about their mask rules, she told us that it was up to us and what we felt comfortable with. All their servers were fully vaccinated. Tables were well separated. A very comfortable experience.

While visiting Seattle we are staying in the Mt Baker neighborhood. Little did we know that this is a residential area with few upscale restaurants. Daniel's Broiler is one and an upscale pizzeria is another. We don't go to steak houses frequently but this was all we had. My partner's 12 oz NY Steak was very good. My King Salmon was a little dry. Both were priced high in my opinion. In addition Daniel's adds a 20% service charge to replace tipping. This was how they do it in France so no tipping unless you're really pleased. Our service was just fine but this restaurant is not the super upscale, high quality restaurant you would expect for the prices charged.

Daniel's has always been expensive but it was exceptionally expensive last night. Service was generally great except we were there for a birthday and our guest of honor was rudely told that Daniel's doesn't pour double shot drinks. Other than that everything went smoothly.

Great dinner with friends on the deck overlooking Lake Washington and the Leschi marina. The weather and setting were perfect and the steaks had great flavor and were juicy. We had to send one back because it wasn’t cooked properly (they offered to replace it) and they returned promptly with one that was perfect. It’s a splurge, but we’ll definitely be going back when friends are visiting

There was one server for the entire main floor. At one point, it went 25+ minutes for the server to even stop by to see how we were doing. A 20% tip was automatically added to the bill but it was not earned. It was a disappointing anniversary dinner

We have been choosing Daniels for special occasions for 20 years or so (usually Bellevue), but haven’t been back since pre-covid. Its has been a reliable go-to for special occasions in the past, and I was enthusiastic about heading there for dinner last night after so long. Overall it was so disappointing.
First the good: the food was prepared well. I love their steaks, the ribeye and filet that we ordered were a bit over cooked (nobody asked how are steaks were prepared) but not a big deal. Another diner with us had the halibut which again was good. The tuna tempura was also good.
It states on the menu “A 20% service charge is included”, directly below the prices on the menu. In case you misunderstand, what this means in reality is that 20% “WILL BE ADDED” to the prices above, not that it is included. Seems deceptive to me.
Furthermore they add 20%, then calculate tax on the total INCLUDING the service charge. So the charge is actually 22%. Tax and service are separate in my book. Why am I paying tax on service??? This is also deceptive.
If you are going to extract 20% a service charge from me, I expect 20% service. What we got was what glorified banquet service, where we sat and stared at our dirty plates for 15 minutes until the crew made another round in the room, and finally made to our table. Service was slow and inattentive.
Lastly way, way overpriced even before the 20% auto-grat. $52 for a 6oz halibut? $48 for Tuna? I get that steakhouses are expensive, however I can enjoy serious fine dining elsewhere for these prices.
I am sadly writing Daniels off my list and will no longer recommend them or dine there for the foreseeable future.

Excellent meal, and exceptional service. Sorry I don't remember the waiter's name, but he was running the entire dining room by himself, mixing drinks behind the bar, and was always showing up back at our table just at the right time to make sure if we needed anything else, which we did. It was quite amazing to witness. I've done everything in the restaurant business except management and I have a 2 year culinary certificate. And I do recommend Daniel's Broiler at Leschi whenever it's appropriate.

Very disappointed with the food. Steak was a terrible cut, garlic mashed potatoes were almost inedible. Don’t bother with the additional sauce. For a $500 dinner tab I expected more.

Our first dinner out so we had a late birthday celebration at Daniels. We ate outside, it was very nice. With the view of the Lake Washington and a great dinner is was a perfect way to get out again. Macalah (sp?) did a great job taking care of us.

Only saw my waiter two times during the evening. Had to summon water server for assistance. I have always had a good experience in Bellevue and was dissapointed in the Leschi location. I also don't like the automatic tip of 20%. He did not deserve it. I will not go back to Daniel's for that reason alone.

The steaks were no where near the quality of what I expect from Daniel’s. All three were overcooked. We complained about one and they cooked another for us which was still not done right. To their credit, they comped it for us. Even the baked potatoes were not very warm. The salmon on the other hand was perfect. Server never checked on how food was, we had to go find her to complain. Not nearly the service that Daniel’s was known for in the past.

Our waitperson was excellent. The food was prepared perfectly (except the brussel sprouts which may have been a bit too chewy but very tasty). We will definitely return!

Had a beautiful view from our corner table for 6. Great service and awesome atmosphere. Steaks were cooked perfectly as requested (IE: medium rare vs. medium) - truly on point. Celebrated a birthday and they helped make it special.
No GF menu, but almost everything could be done GF if requested. Not a whiskey bar for those that are fans, but they do a "fair" old fashioned and a few good signature drinks with name brands. Always ask for desserts not listed - they are incredible!!

We have been patrons of Daniel’s Broiler since the 1980’s. My sister held a pre-wedding dinner there in 1986 and it was a special evening with outstanding food and lovely ambiance. Over the years it has been the scene of birthday and anniversary dinners. The COVID Crisis affected everyone and everything. Last night we took our steak-loving daughter to the Leschi DB and sat outside. It was a lovely evening. Our waiter and support staff were efficient, friendly, and professional. The food overall was good, but some dishes could have been better. The fried baby artichokes were delicious, but my seasonal greens salad was over-dressed and limp. It could be improved by using crisp greens with tomatoes in larger pieces with carrots, if not more salad vegetables. The rolls were dry and appeared to be standard grocery store-issue rolls. How about some bread / rolls from one of Seattle’s awesome bakeries? The steaks were cooked perfectly and the baked potatoes as well. Just some friendly suggestions to help keep your restaurant top shelf.

What a huge disappointment! My husband and I selected this restaurant to celebrate our 30th anniversary, which we noted when we made the reservation. Upon arrival, there was no one at the hostess stand, and after waiting 5 minutes we poked our heads into the restaurant area and a bartender acknowledged us and proceeded to seat us at a table adjacent to two parking lots, Yes, we could see Lake Washington, but seriously! We asked our server to move us and she put us at a table inside, next to a window that was having a spider infestation. Not her fault, but just continued to make the evening go downhill. The ambiance in the restaurant was not what you would expect from a place that serves up $ 80.00 steaks. As to those steaks…. Don’t waste your money. This restaurant requires a credit card when you make the reservation, automatically adds a 20% gratuity and then keeps 100% of that gratuity - they tell you that little tidbit after you get there. It’s a small print nite at the bottom of the menu. The servers earn commission on your total bill. The more your order / buy, the more they make, but it’s still only 10% of total. Crap ambiance, so so food for more than you would pay at some of the best restaurants in the country, and they’re keeping 1/2 their servers tips which you are forced to pay good service or not. Fool me one, shame on you….you will not fool me twice.

Lunch date with grandson, couldn’t have asked for a better experience. Gorgeous view, impeccable service (Kramer) and the most delicious meal we’ve had in a long time. Highly recommend the Tempura Ahi Tuna

The food was outstanding. It was one of the best Lobster Tails I have ever had. The service was very well paced. Our server was friendly and attentive but also did not over do with too many visits to our table. We had a window table with an outstanding view of Lake Washington making our visit fun and romantic.
