Daniel's Broiler - Leschi Ratings and Reviews
I requested a quiet table several times due to medical issues. They assured me several times that they would. After they seated us they set up a party of 16 across from us which ruined our event. The hostess needs to listen customers, I was very specific about our needs.
We went to Daniel's for Restaurant Week. The food was fabulous! We each had the steak and it was the best steak we've had at Daniel's. Actually the whole meal was better than when we were there the end of August for our anniversary. However, I was disappointed that they no longer are using Bombay Sapphire for their happy hour martini and have switched to Gordon's. I just won't have a martini for happy hour anymore and select another drink. Problem solved.
Ever since the city of Seattle enacted a higher minimum-wage, and Daniels appears to have confiscated that tip (they auto-grat your bill at 20%), the service has really become quite poor. I’ve noticed it previously at the restaurant on Lake Union, and now that has moved out to Leschi . So sad! My inkling is that all of the good servers have left the city. These are newbies and not very skilled to be honest. Food was just barely OK, veggie dishes were cool to touch, pork undercooked. Prime rib was good, as was the salmon. Creme brûlée was burnt and inedible. $440 for five people. So not worth it. Come on Schwartz Brothers - kick it up a notch or two back to where you were!!!
We came for restaurant week and were very excited had never been to Daniels Broiler before.
We were pretty disappointed in the mushroom appetizer we received as well as the Brussels sprouts with bacon side we ordered. Nothing special. We were also disappointed in the Cesar salads that came out. The artichokes were amazing though.
The main course steak was fabulous.
The creme brûlée had no taste and very gelatin like.
Would not come back for the pricing and previous reviews we heard.
Waited 45+ minutes for our entree and the manager was extremely rude when I asked to speak with her. Accused me of cursing at her when I said the wait was asinine. They comp’d the meal, but the evening was ruined. This was my guests first time there for dinner. We won’t return. Go to Bellevue Daniel’s for outstanding service.
We came here for Restaurant Week because we had always heard great things about Daniel's Broiler. We were blown away! The steak melted in our mouths and the dessert was incredible. We also ordered off of the Wine under $45 list and were very impressed. We would HIGHLY recommend going here!
The host was pretty rude considering that he quoted 10 min but it took longer than 10 min and he didn't bother updating us waiting. I thought it was silly that we were made to wait so long when we walked in to take our seats there were plenty of empty tables. The service wasn't that great for this type of high end restaurant
I'm familiar with Daniel's as a restaurant and purposely went this time to "test" their Restaurant Week menu. Thumbs up!! For high end restaurants, the RW menu is occasionally cheapened to the point that it is a waste of even $33. Not the case for this one. Give them a try folks!
We went to Daniel's not knowing it was Restaurant Week - 3 items for a set price. The menu offered was very good. The only thing I was disappointed in was the slow and minimum service for such a nice restaurant - especially on a Thursday evening when they weren't busy.
Overall I thought the place was overprice the service was similar to a Red Robins and although the view is great it's just not meeting that expectation one will get based off of the reviews on some of the sites I believe people put reviews in a positive light but the food wasn't good it's just that simple that's all I have to say I think the Seattle restaurant week is a great deal but what was provided was not good I should have just ordered off of the regular menu
We had a good overall experience, our server was attentive without being overbearing. I think the automatic gratuity is a little ridiculous considering how much the food is, they should be able to afford to pay their servers without forcing clients to do that. I do always tip 20% on top of the food bill, BEFORE tax, but to make customers pay that and charge an arm and a leg is interesting... Pretty high end dining, enjoyable ambiance (pretty loud in the dining room), food was delicious. I'm not sure I'd go again unless we were celebrating something big as it is an expensive meal.
Went to Daniels in Leschi on a Monday night for the special $33 three course dinner. The service was friendly and attentive. We had a lovely corner table overlooking the lake. My husband had the special with caesar salad, petit filet mignon, and yummy apple dessert. Very happy with it. I had my favorite salad in all of Seattle- the lobster club which at $30 is a great deal with a generous portion of lobster on top. So good!
My boyfriend and I came to eat for restaurant week. We were celebrating his birthday with this trip to Seattle and came here to have a nice dinner. Our server wasn't very friendly or pleasant. I work in a restaurant so I have a pretty good idea of how I should be serviced and I am never difficult or ask for much. Maybe because we were young she assumed we weren't going to tip her? Well she was right because of the service she gave us we didn't tip her on top the for 20% service charge which applies to all tabs. Maybe thats why she didn't serve us very well? Because she was going to get tipped out anyway? Not sure.
Food wise my plate came with raw broccoli, that was unpleasant to eat. But everything else tastes good. The view was also nice.
I wouldn't come back here, the service we got just not worth the 20% that I had to pay.
First of all, this is a review for the Lake Union one because we thought there was only One Daniel's Broiler. This was our 2nd visit and we have always enjoyed the food, ambience and the service. Best steak I've had so far and the rib eye was enough to share for 2 people. Great choice for special occasions.
