I had been a long standing customer but haven't been back since you implemented the 20% gratuity to be included in the price. My family and I decided to try Daniel's again since it had been our go-to restaurant for special occasions previously. We were disappointed, the area we were seated was freezing as we didn't have dinner until 8:00. Our waiter was nice, but seemed to disappear off and on. Our appetizers were cold and not cooked enough. Steaks were good, but overall, not up to the standard it once was. With the 20% added, your wait staff's attention to detail has lapsed, even our children said, it wasn't like when you used to bring us. They were to be your future customers, but probably not now.
Honestly, brunch/lunch was less than expected, for the price, and after frequenting the Bellevue and Seattle Daniels locations.
I will say that 1/2 our party was 15 minutes late to our reservation; completely our fault, thank you for the coffee service to those waiting. There were only 3 -5 tables max occupied during our visit.
To be fair, I didn't comment to the server or manager at the time of the visit and I haven't been to the other locations for the lunch menu. And I have heard good things about dinner at the Leschi location. It is a beautiful view.
Not my favorite dinging experience at Daniel's. I usually go to Bellevue location. Tried Leschi for dinner. Would not recommend going here for dinner. They are not at the top of their game at this location....and its very basic. Took forever to get our meal because they could not cook my steak properly.....probably had to wait an hour for a restaurant that probably had 5 other parties dining. Wont be coming back to this location again.
We were seated quickly but our server didn't come by for 10 minutes...but once we got our orders in, things improved. Until the special dessert arrived- which tasted great- but there was some plastic wrapping that somehow got in the dessert. The server responded quickly and Kay the manager comped the drinks and side dish. I'd give it one more try because the food was good.
I was surprised that the high priced steaks was not grass-fed and the salmon dish was farmed salmon. The food tasted very good and was prepared well but I was expecting that the origins of the food would be better. We had gift cards from the Holidays but I would not be going back.
Food was horrible, and expensive. Waste of money, and waste of time.
All of us ordered from a wide selection of entrees, the appetizer , teriyaki beef was great, my scallops perfect. One of us ordered hamburger with fries , he said it was the best he ever had, it wasn’t on the dinner menu but they accommodate him. Lobster salad very good. The view outstanding , my favorite restaurant .
We had a fantastic dinner at Daniel's. It was our first time at the Leschi Daniel's and we loved it. The ambience was lovely and although we dined at night, the setting and view looked beautiful. The meals were delicious and perfectly prepared. Our server was very attentive and didn't miss a beat.
I was seated next to the exit door to the patio. There were towels laid down to prevent cold air from leaking thru. I also noticed cob webs around the door. Food was so so. My ribeye steak was done fine but the sauce on top was a little rich.
Recommend thorough cleaning in the dining area.
The overall experience was not aligned with price. The view is great but the Restaurant needs renovation. Food was good but my ribeye was pricey for what was delivered. Cream of spinach and the jumbo aspargus, delicious.
For my budget it was very expensive ($125), but for our 37th anniversary it was OK. 37 is a prime number, so I thought prime beef would fit the occasion. It was the best Fillet Mignon I've had in years, and cooked just right. Service was very cordial. And we got a complimentary dessert since it was a special occasion. I did not like being forced into valet parking. I'd rather park it myself. And that added $5 to the bill. The view over the marina was good, but it was dark. Would have enjoyed more light to look at the boats, but that is not the restaurant's fault. Overall, it was a good experience.
The bacon-wrapped scallops were excellent! The shrimp "scampi" came without sauce, and the waiter neglected to inform us of that, or to recommend one of those which we (later) realized were printed on the menu. The Ora King salmon was adequate, 'tho the fig sauce was very good.
Overall, not worth the extraordinary expense.
However, with the one exception noted above, our waiter was very good.
The food was great and the view was spectacular. It was a great spot to celebrate New Year's Eve. Our waitress was pretty good, she got our order wrong, but it was still delicious and she was very nice. We enjoyed a lovely evening.
Restaurant is dated. Food and service was to be expected.
Daniels on Leschi is a beautiful restaurant on Lake Union. The food is wonderful. We had a table on the window and saw the sun go down. Beautiful evening!
The staff are professional and proficient. I will refer friends and family to dine at Daniel's Broiler-Leschi
Food and service was good but I am pretty sure the oysters did not make me feel good that night.
Wonderful drinks in the bar. Dinner was delicious. One of the best steaks I've ever had. The scallops were perfect. The seasonal beet salad was also delucious.
Great service, great food as always. Love the view from this one
I paid the holiday premium, I understood this going in. We were sat at a small table in the center of the room, they were busy and I understand this too. However my understanding ends here. We had to ask the host for coat check on our way to the table, the server was slow to greet us and we had to ask for them to fill our water glasses. The restaurant was cold and I had to take off my jacket and give it to my date. The food was comparable to a family style restaurant and I was embarrassed with my choice when my date said "Next time it's my treat and I'll take you to Ruth's Chris".
We have allergy & vegan & since they have a vegan menu, we go here time to time. Today’s meal was before Macklemore concert. Food was good. Price was ridiculously expensive. $50 for an entree. As a vegan, paying $25 for what you can get at another restaurant for half that was insane. Service was good, but their knowledge of ingredients & allergies were frustratingly limited. All their food naturally use butter & they put cheese in everything so make sure you clarify that beforehand.
Lovely local dining restaurant. Service has been cut back but still good waitstaff and eager to provide good service. Steaks overpriced as sides extra...
Long time favorite for our anniversary celebration. Steaks were perfect and creamed spinach continues to be wonderful. The waitress was personable and appropriately attentive. Our “old time” complimentary dessert was just right. We enjoyed the experience.
The staff was exceedingly courteous. And our waiter did inform us there would be a delay between salads and our main course. However, the lengthy delay was not pleasant (putting the private party of 24 order ahead of ours). I had requested a table for six by the window but we were seated on a bench plus three chairs. I thought the early 6:15 reservation would have been sufficient to accommodate my request. We have been going to Schwartz Bros restaurants for decades. This was the first time I resented paying the check...$454 for five adults and one child with only one glass of wine.
We really looked forward to dining here. However, we were not made aware of the 20% service charge added to every check until we arrived. The food was good - four appetizers and one cocktail- and the bill was an outrageous $76.00! We did not even order an entree.... Now, we could afford this.... no problem.... but it was a shock.... we felt very taken advantage of, and we’ll go elsewhere from now on.... We just felt gouged, and the value was NOT what the restaurant obviously feels it’s worth. That’s ok.... there are GREAT places in Seattle that are a MUCH better value!
It was a really good dining experience. My wife and the salmon and it was outstanding. My daughter had the kids filet terriyaki, which she really enjoyed. I had the bone in ribeye. It’s the best restaurant steak I’ve had in a very long time. It was done perfectly and the cut of meat was very good quality. We had the BEST server (Min). He knew his stuff and was very professional and friendly. We’ll be going back there again soon.
Had a great time with good friends. Excellent service and food was delish!
The evening was very nice and casual with us being able to take our time and have a great visit that had a great lake view along with some very excellent food. The Oyster Rockefeller were outstanding along with the other appetizer Crispy Artichoke Hearts and both the New York and Porterhouse were cooked to perfection. The evening was a big hit with my guest.
Melissa our server was the best! Food was outstanding.
We went out to brunch on a Saturday morning to celebrate my daughter-in-law getting her PhD. The chairs are very comfortable and we were seated by the window that looks right out on a Lake Washington marina. I had the crab benedict which was wonderful but it was served with potatoes that were tough and cold. I don't know why american restaurants have to fill up plates with potatoes. Having an option for a small bit of fresh fruit would have been nicer.
Great service, excellent food, and memorable birthday celebration. Thank you Daniels Broiler for a wonderful experience.
My husband and I went here for a Sunday afternoon brunch. It was really nice and quiet, beautiful view on the water and the food was delicious and the price was reasonable.
I had the prime rib with garlic potatoes and my wife had the shrimp creole. (She had been looking forward to the stuff shrimp but that was no longer on the menu). My prime rib was prepared just right and I enjoyed it. My wife’s shrimp creole, was tasteless. Literally tasteless. She even sent it back and they tried a second time but it was only very marginally better. Ambiance was nice and service was impeccable. But value for the dollar was not there.
Have eaten here several times and generally the food is excellent. Was dining with my father and his meal (filet mignon) was excellent, but mine (prime rib) was lackluster. I don't like to judge a restaurant on a single disappointing meal (especially with many fine meals in the past), but at this price point, excellence should be the norm. Will be back again.
Great dinner but restaurant is loud
We’ll be back!
15 minute wait for table despite reservation, but the bar gave us a complimentary cocktail while we waited and the Thanksgiving four course meal was delicious and fairly priced.
We had Thanksgiving dinner at Daniels and the service, view and food were all spectacular! Will definitely do that again!
If you've been here, then you know how truly great Daniel's is. Great views. Great food. Great service. Great location.
Daniels has definitely changed over the last few years and we were all disappointed with being served lukewarm food. My visit prior to this one during the summer was equally as underwhelming.
