Daniel's Broiler - Leschi Ratings and Reviews
Good place to take a friend, date or spouse for a special gathering or celebration. You have wide selection of wine and champaign and significantly lighten your wallet. The quality of food is acceptable but not as good as other $$$$ popular steak houses. Key lime pie is great however.
The entire experience from the moment we walked in the door was tremendous. From immediate attention to ensuring we were seated where we wanted, to making sure everything was to our liking-we never seemed to want for anything. The waitress was attentive and timely with information about the menu as well as the sights over the lake. The food was superb and VERY tasty. It was a great experience for folks who had never been there and were not from the area. We recommend it wholeheartedly.
This Daniels' at Leschi has filled the gap losing Rosellini's 410 left in my heart . The food is always good, the service is always good.. (Actually excellent on both counts.) The wine list is a very good one with a spread of prices. The quality here is apparent immediately - This restaurant wants you to enjoy yourself, have good food and good service.. and they succeed on all counts.
Our appetizers were great as were our dinners but our server seemed to be in a hurry! He barely stayed long enough to take our orders and then kept forgetting half of it. He also reached across and in front of us to take glasses and platrs instead of going around behind us even though there was plenty of room. The scenery was beautiful and the restaurant elegant but our server dampened the experience. Would return but look for a different server. We also had some children in the restaurant which also was a little distracting. We were celebrating our daughter"s anniversary and son-in-laws birthday.
My husband and I found Daniel's several years ago and have loved it ever since. We have dined at all three locations, but love the one at Leschi Marina best. This meal with simply the best - everything was great - they even fixed my husband a 'corn' side dish that wasn't on the menu. We recommend them to any friends coming to Seattle to visit and anyone we meet here who hasn't been. It's simply the best restaurant we ever been to, anywhere we have lived, from TN to NC to MO to WA!!!!!
Arrived mid week just prior to sunset and got patio seating with a great view of Mt Rainier. Our waiter was informative and gracious . When our food arrived, it was cooked as we asked and was thoroughly delicious.! A great way to celebrate our 43rd wedding anniversary!
Food was very good, but overpriced. ($50 for a small New York Strip, etc.) - $320 including tip for three with only a $60 bottle of wine + dessert for two. Wine was superb for the price BYW. Daniel's Leschi has high overhead due to no lunch business and small size, some price premium is to be expected. There was no valet parking (this is an issue in this neighborhood) and no more somelier. Also, the crowd was one of singularly unattractive and poorly dressed people (boaters?)
On the plus side on a summer night, sitting on the outdoor deck with its stunning view and neighborhood ambiance was amazing.
The price however was similar to Canlis but food good but not at that level of quality.
The best steak I have every had. Excellent side dishes to complement the steaks. A little too noisy because of several larger parties, but still within reason. A great meal with a great view of Lake Washington. I would recommend Daniel's for any special gathering.
I can't tell you how disappointed we were on our dinner visit last Friday night. We were celebrating our 20th anniversary, and as we have both become vegetarians, we had decided to "splurge" on this one occasion and enjoy a hearty meal. Daniel's was our first choice for steaks, as it always has been. We have been to your restaurant on numerous occasions. On this night, for whatever reasons, the food was just "adequate"; certainly NOT what we expected from Daniel's, from past experience. My partner had a vegetarian dish, which she enjoyed, but I had prime rib, and I was extremely disappointed, not only with the prime rib but that I had broken my "fast" from meat with such an inadequate and tasteless piece of meat. It was just warm and fatty.
We sat outside for dinner. Watched the sunset against Mount Rainier while eating filet mignon. What could be better? With drinks to start, one appetizer to share, one cheaper bottle of wine, and three desserts we still topped $400 for four. But it was definitely worth it, and we will come back again for sure.
Daniels is a favorite of ours, but had never tried the Leschi location. The location, service, ambience, view etc. were all fabulous, and the ability to get a seat was nice too...
But the food was not as good as Lake Union. Why? Not sure.... My steak was good but not brilliant. My wife had a salmon and, again, good, but not as succulent as Lake Union location. One of the sides was a little overcooked too. Appetizer was Ahi Tuna, and that was definitely overdone - taste was ok, but nothing compared with normal.
Would like to go back because of location, but for the money, Lake Union will definitely be the choice....
This restaurant is excellent. We had been to Daniel's previously, but only the Bellevue location. This one was a bit hard to find, but only because we don't know the area very well. When we called to get directions, the lady who answered the phone was very helpful. Thanks for helping us have a great anniversary evening!
Not the typical downtown sometimes dark steak house. This restaurant is away from the crowds with a great view and a great patio. High ceilings and lots of light. Parking is only slightly challenging but it's free. You'll usually only find Seattle locals in this Daniels because of its "neighborhood" location. Check it out.
Food was good and cooked well but nothing really jumps out as notable especially for the price. The bread before the meal was kind of cheap and plane , no oil dip etc. or heated. The steak was very good but not outstanding. The service was excellent and the location etc. was very nice. We enjoyed the meal and was not rushed or forgotten.
The view at Daniel's Broiler - Leschi? Just fantastic! Can't beat being right on the shores of Lake Washington with a great view of Mercer Island, Bellevue and (at least on this evening) Mt. Rainier.
The selection includes items for just about every taste. We chose the bacon-wrapped scallops and Maine lobster tail. Both were very good and worth the price.
The service at Daniel's was also very friendly and fantastic as well. I would highly recommend (the Leschi location especially) to a friend.
The view on the waterfront was beautiful, especially since we could see Mt. Rainier in all its glory. The food could have been better. The salmon special and the steak were good, but the bread in the basket was stale. For $50.00 steaks the bread should be house made and fresh.
I took my gf there for her birthday on a Saturday night. Not only were the staff gracious, cheerful, and accommodating to our late arrival due to unusual traffic, but also the food was prepared to perfection. The salmon was actually cooked medium-rare as I had ordered it--an unusual experience for me. The waterfront location was the frosting on the cake. We will definitely return to Daniel's.
