Excellent food, friendly service. Throughly enjoyed the brunch.
Unfortunately Daniel’s Leschi just didn’t meet expectations. I’d say our expectations were too high except they were in line with the prices on the menu. We did a special family dinner at Daniel’s. I had prepped the kids for a “Canlis experience.” They concluded, after the meal, that this was “more like Anthony’s.” I’d agree except Daniel’s is 30% more expensive and the service is not as good. Our server had a attitude that wasn’t helpful and a little snobby. My adult kids even noticed it. She was also slow. We didn’t mind as I wanted lots of time with the kids but it would be bad if I was a normal customer. The server also wasn’t helpful. We were first-time diners and wanted a guide. She didn’t provide help unless I asked and even then I felt like a bother. Bottom line is that the service was in-line with a place that has a mandatory 20% service charge. She worked liked she didn’t care about a tip, because she didn’t need to. All three of our steaks were “charcoaled” on the outside. Not sure what they were going for but it was near having to cut off. At $10/oz for a Filet I wasn’t about to give up even on charcoal. Our desserts were promised piping hot, straight out of the oven by a very nice and helpful manager. They came out warmish. Mine was actually barely warm. We were told the desserts would take 10 minutes. They took almost 20. Summary: poor value. Very expensive ($100/person), plus 20% service charge, plus snobby-attitude service, plus poorly-executed food means there are better options and values.
Our service was great. It was a very quiet Thursday night (I think four tables plus the bar). Our appetizers were great (tuna and bacon wrapped scallops). Dinner, on the other hand, was not that good. I had a "bone in rib eye" that was missing the bone and less than 3/4" thick. The center was cooked properly but the outer 2" around was over done. We will stick with happy hours if we return.
Had a wonderful meal at Daniel’s Broiler. Couldn’t beat the view! Fantastic steak, great wine selection.
Their most outstanding feature is the view, food & service are as expected but the price has gotten out of hand. You need to figure $ 100 per person and that is not going to cut it for me anymore. 20% auto service fee, nope, not for me. So long.
Outstanding views and terrific service. Food was delicious
Great food. Very attentive service.
Joe, our wait person was wonderful and made the evening enjoyable.
Disappointed, this time only, in the lamb chops. Big and tough. Otherwise, my guests were very pleased. We did want more coconut on the sundae too.
Daniel's Broiler - Leschi is an great option for a date dinner. The food is very good. The service is outstanding, very knowledgeable and experienced. Greatly recommended!
Another fantastic meal at Daniel's. Love the place.
Have been going here for years on birthdays and anniversaries. Request via OpenTable for booth was not accommodated. Would have been nice to either get a call and say we can seat you at a booth at x time or just let us know before we arrived. Second time we've met the Manager and she is not very warm or hospitable. Server was good, but if you are paying upwards of $200 for the meal, you'd think your water glass would always be full. The steaks and the cozy location are why we come back again and again.
Daniel's Broiler was surprisingly expensive Good but not creative
We had a lovely dinner with a beautiful view of Bellevue Skyline. Our waitress was very attentive, and made us feel at home. Steaks, chops and seafood are prepared perfectly. Try the bacon wrapped scallops and crispy artichoke! Great special occasion place, yet their happy hour is above average too.
Would not recommend to take a guest to Daniels again anytime soon. Such a disappointment! Not what I wanted. But the Front Staff is Great. Our waitperson, terrific. But the creepy guy skulking around well, creepy. Must have been a manager? And the tall kid counting the tables that should/might be empty soon, too obvious.
It was good, but the food was not up to par with Daniel's typical standards. The service was great, but the prices have gone up and I'm not sure they aren't pricing themselves out of our league.
We ate at the Leschi Daniel’s Broiler because the others didn’t have a time slot available. We love the ambiance and being on the water. My wife and I are vegan, and a little disappointed that this location had an abbreviated version of the plant based menu. Still, the choices they had did satisfy and our son was extremely happy with his steak.
My steak was delicious and cooked to perfection. Excellent taste from their quick broil.
My husband enjoyed a great steak. However, my shrimp scampi was so full of chunky garlic, I had to scrape most of it off. I think in your review choice question of whether I would recommend this restaurant, there should be a"maybe" option. They do steak great but not impressed with their take on seafood.
Prices have outstripped value. 20 0/0 service that doen’t go to servers is wrong. Owners should be ashamed!
From the building, it's view, the staff, the great food, it is all good!! We have come here for years and it never disappoints. It is a very special place!! We come from south sound to get to Daniel's Broiler and it is well worth the drive. We came for my husband's birthday and the experience made his birthday very special. Thanks all at Daniel's Broiler at Leschi!!
We had reservations for 8:30. We got there at 8:35. They told us our table was not ready. When we asked about our reservation at around 8:50, the lady concierge was rude, and told us that the people at our table were not done with their dinner. We decided to leave, and go somewhere that honors reservations. We later learned that Daniels Broiler at Leschi Indicated to Open Tables that we did not show up to our reservation.
Our server's name was Melissa. She was absolutely delightful. We were their celebrating my wife's birthday and she made sure that my wife felt special. Experiences like these keep me coming back to your establishment. Great service, great food, great ambiance.
Had a amazing dinner. Everything was good. only issue is we had a wobbly table.
Fabulous food, great wine and impeccable service. A great experience.
Took my daughter and her spouse for dinner here her birthday. I had never been to this location but the view of Lake Washington and Downtown Seattle was very scenic. Our server, Melissa was absolutely AWESOME! She was friendly and extreme knowledgeable when we asked her questions. The Rib-eyes and Porterhouse we ordered were all spot on med-rare and delicious.
We will not be returning nor will we recommend this restaurant to others. Here’s why, the 20% service charge. Then we are taxed on that service charge. So you have hiked up the price because of (what we were told) the city of Seattle makes the restaurant do it. The manager said to us that she couldn’t remove the 20%. This conversation took place before we had ordered our dinner. We will eat somewhere else that doesn’t make you pay for a 20% service charge. So blackmail is not a good thing for a restaurant. We should have left right then and there. Never again!
Exceptional service, thank you Macy. A very enjoyable, special family dinner. Tried the vegan options and I was very impressed. The rest of the family tried salmon and roasted chicken. All of the food was cooked to perfection. Appetizers... very good! Vegan tofu app, so good!!!
Our visit at Daniel’s exceeded our expectations. Service was impeccable, and the food to die for. While for us it will be for special date nights since it is a bit pricey, we will be back.
Always love Daniels. Have been disappointed in the overcooked asparagus on the last two visits - even after mentioning it being overcooked on a previous visit.
Will be back, just won’t order this again.
My wife and I come to Daniel's at Leschi fairly often on special occasions, and they have yet to disappoint. This time we both had the 8oz. Filet Mignon with bearnaise sauce; they were to die for. Be sure to save lots of room, because the dessert portions here are VERY generous. I had chocolate hazelnut ice cream and my wife had the deep dish chocolate chip cookie. They were delicious, but neither of us could finish.
Our server was very polite and attentive without hovering or being obsequious.
It's a tad on the pricey side but really no more so than any other high quality steakhouse in town, and the view of Lake Washington is a bonus you don't get at too many other places in Seattle.
Nice place but the food was overpriced for the quality and quantity. The steak was exceptional but everything else was blah.
Our go to restaurant. Staff is great! Food is wonderful!
The cream Brulee wasn't creamy enough. The ambience can be cleaned up a little and the interiors can be more customer inviting. Also, it would be nice to have some smooth jazz as background music.
The food was delicious and our service was great. Everyone was very positive and helpful. Loved the view.
This used to be a gem of a brunch spot. This last visit was very disappointing, the staff was inattentive, we had to ask multiple times for water and bread to start. The food arrived 50min later and was cold and greasy. To top it off they required 20% service charge and there was no manager around to discuss. We ended up running late to our next appointment and will never return. Sad to see what poor management has done to once a lovely brunch place with amazing view, food and service.
Service needs improvement. Even with a reservation I had to wait at least 15 mins, also a long wait between being seated and being approached by wait staff, the bill was calculated incorrectly resulting in another wait.
The table by the window was lovely, the food was good, and free parking was greatly appreciated.
The service was not up to our usual expectation for an experience at Daniel’s. Having an included 20% service fee leaves little option to express dissatisfaction. The service fee is not the option of the restaurant but a govt mandate, but still. Having to pay separately for each soda is odd. While influenced by the new soda tax, cmon. In the future, we’ll stay in Bellevue.....
Awesome place to go for a special occasion. I say special occasion because it is pricey. Food is the best. Had filet. Melt in your mouth delicious . View is spectacular. The only thing that was up setting was it was freezing cold in the dining room. I wished I'd had a parka to put on. It got pretty uncomfortable that when it was time for desert I asked my hubby if we could just go. I couldn't stand it any longer. I really wanted the chocolate chip cookie too!
Went for brunch. The chocolate infused coffee was amazing! And the view!
