I brough my husband here for his birthday dinner because he loves a good steak. He had a great steak, he said it was the best steak he's ever had!! Everything was yummy. My only complaint would be that it was very loud and the nearby table of men were a bit vulgar.
Hella taxin but it sure slaps would recommend went there for prom
I think this might be a better restaurant for dinner as opposed to brunch. The brunch was good, but I expected more from Daniels. The food was good, but nothing spectacular, especially for the price.
Hi Marie, thank you for taking the time to send us some feedback. We are always looking for ways to improve and will look into what we can do to perfect our brunch options. We hope you'll come back to visit us again soon!
The staff was great. They were so accommodating when we got cold on the patio and moved us inside. It was extremely noisy inside and hard to hear. The food was ok, I feel like it was better at the Daniels in Bellevue. I had asked for my steak to be medium rare and didn’t notice until I got home that my steak was extremely rare. It was also my dads birthday and they gave him a special dessert (at Bellevue they brought it to use without asking, whereas here the waitress was rather reluctant to offer it to us). When it came out to us it was so burnt my dad could only eat a few small bites of it, the rest was as hard as a rock. I will be going back to Daniels but at Bellevue. I’m not sure about Leschi.
This is the first time that we have gone to Daniel's and the wait staff was pretty much non existent, it took about an hour to gt our food, even if they were busy it should not have taken that long as we have been there before when they were extremely busy and they kept us appraised of the situation - this time no one told us anything. The steak came with a sauce which we did not order and the waitress did not mention that to us when we ordered. It was our anniversary, which was acknowledged at the front desk but not really any place else and usually they give you a little something for a special occasion and this time nothing. If this was my first time going to Daniel's I would not recommend or go back it was so disappointing.
Hi LinSeattle, we are very sorry to hear that this happened to you & would like to extend our sincerest apologies to you and your guests. Would you please send us a message with your name, name on the reservation, and your preferred method of contact? We would like to gather some additional details about your visit and hopefully be able to make this experience up to you. Thank you for letting us know - again we're very sorry about this. We look forward to hearing from you soon.
Server not attentive, water/beverages not refilled and table not checked on until the end.
Food was mediocre and it took over an hour from the time we ordered till food came out
Daniels is always great. We love their brunch and it is reasonably priced. Wonderful views!
Meal was amazing. The view of the lake was very enjoyable, even when dining inside.
My wife and I went for our anniversary dinner. The food and service were great and it was a beautiful evening to dine outside.
Check-in at the host stand was discombobulated and somewhat frantic
Boosted chairs are patched with duct tape
Once past the check-in process, dinner service (food, drinks, service, ambiance, view) was very enjoyable
Excellent brunch, with a nice array of choices, and beautiful view of Lake Washington.
Bowls, chicken fried beef, and hash--among other things--were wonderful. We would go back.
I’ve been to Daniel’s many, many times; and always had a wonderful experience. This time, things were different. My coffee cup was dirty (lip stick), my husband’s order was incorrect, and the French toast was not dredged and cooked nearly enough—Very dry. Also, I don’t appreciate having a mandatory 20% tip added to the bill; specifically when he experience didn’t meet expectations.
Unless you get a gift card to dine here, you should pass. The food is overly priced and uninspired. My King Salmon was somewhat tough and required salt, even though it was cooked medium rare. It couldn't have been fresh. I've had better salmon inside of fish tacos for a 1/10 of the cost.
Servers are slow and lackluster in attentiveness. While the dining room was somewhat full, we waited close to 10 minutes for any sort of acknowledgement, including water and to have our drinks taken. From there we watched our cocktails sit at the bar for another 5 minutes before the server added the garnish and brought them to us. The cocktail menu is interesting but they were out of ingredients to make the one I ordered, my P.C. Old Fashioned was the backup and was decent.
We spent over $300 on two appetizers, two entrees, and two cocktails. You could spend half this and get an amazing meal at a number of Seattle restaurants or pay a similar price and get a much better steak meal with fantastic service elsewhere.
The views are to die for, so if you're wanting a gorgeous spot and don't care about any of the aforementioned or are just coming for wine/beer/dessert then you can't go wrong.
Like always, excellent service and consistently great food. A Seattle favorite.
I enjoy steaks and their lobster dinner salad on occasion. My favorite however is their chicken dish. I attempted to celebrate my birthday with my sister which was also her first time at the restaurant. I had raved about the chicken and was very disappointed when it came out dry and tough (specifically the breast portion). They remade it and we hesitantly accepted it (although skin was not crisp) because we didn’t want continue to make a fuss. We took our dinners to go and gave them away afterwards. :-(
Excellent food with arguably an even more excellent view! I have a couple of nits to pick, but nothing so serious that it ruined the evening--the food could have been a little hotter and the service was a bit slow (I think she had a lot of tables, though), so yes, it could have been better, but it was still a fantastic experience. Hopefully those mistakes were a 1-off thing, but even with them, I would definitely still recommend!
Thanks for leaving us this lovely review! We're happy to hear that had such an excellent evening with us. We appreciate your feedback on the food temp and service and will absolutely be taking it to heart. No matter what, our service should never be anything less than stellar, so we apologize for letting you down. We hope we get a chance in the future to really thrill you with our service. Thanks again and we hope you have a lovely day!
We were here for a Saturday brunch. It was a sunny day and the view was spectacular. The food was excellent with the hash being out of this world. We were able to linger some and talk after our meal without feeling rushed. We will certainly come here again.
Thanks for leaving us this 5-star review! We're so happy that you enjoyed our Brunch, beautiful location and views so much. We really appreciate the kind words and will be sure to pass them along to our team. We hope we can see you again soon and that you have a lovely day!
Always enjoy dining here it's never a disappointment. The staff is amazing and every dish has been phenomenal.
Thanks for leaving our Leschi team this wonderful review, Janet. ! We're so happy to hear that our staff took such good care of you and we hope to see you again soon!
Service was great. The food was good but a bit boring. Sauce for the bay shrimp omelette might help.
We have Easter brunch there every year.
Thanks for the love, Tracy! We're so happy to hear you enjoyed our delicious Easter Brunch again this year. We hope to see you soon!
Daniel's Broiler is "our new place" for my husband and me to have date nights. Such a relaxing oasis from stress--luscious food and great service!
Hey Mary, thanks for leaving us this glowing review. It's wonderful to hear that you and your husband had such a lovely time and are going to include us in future date nights, we're honored! We're also thrilled that our staff took such good care of you and you both enjoyed the food so much. We hope to see you again very soon!
We have been patrons of Daniels for over 20 yrs and consider it a family special occasion place. We have noticed on our past recent visits that the kitchen is missing the mark in terms of prepping their proteins. This interrupts the whole table experience but also what is the real shame is that they don't refire but rather pan fry your steak or lamb. They adjust your bill, which is appreciated, but it feels like the overall experience isn't how it used to be. We will be trying other restaurants to celebrate our families special moments.
Hello there Reese, thanks very much for taking the time to leave us this feedback. While we're happy you enjoyed your meal in general, we are sorry you were disappointed by the preparation and presentation of our proteins. We will absolutely be taking this feedback to heart and hope we have a chance in the future to really wow you with our menu. Thanks again and have a great day!
This place is wonderful. Great food. Great service. Amazing Steaks, but the prices are intense. Dinner for two, with tip came to $375 and this included two steaks (PRIME but not Wagyu) a bottle of wine ($70) and some apps. Again, it's an amazing place, wonderful service, but you're definitely going to pay a premium for the location and service.
Thank you very much for leaving us this wonderful 5-star review, Ryan! We're so happy you enjoyed your meals, the view, and our service so much. We really appreciate the kind words and hope we can see you again soon. Thanks again and have a lovely day!
Great service and great food!
I asked for a house red wine and the waiter brought me a glass of wine for $12, not what I asked for. I was not planning on paying $12 for a glass of wine. I didn’t realize it, until I received my bill.
Daniel’s Broiler exceeded our expectations. We went during Seattle Restaurant Week, so the relatively low cost for delicious and creative dishes made the value outstanding. It is usually a little pricey for us, but this was an excellent way to experience the warm ambiance, lovely view, and great menu.
Good food, great atmosphere . Sercive was not as good as previous Daniels experiences. Over priced in my opinion.
Amazing dining experience. Went for Seattle Restuarant Week to celebrate a friends birthday. Dinner was delicious and the steaks, of course, cooked to perfection. Lovely window table with a spectacular water view. So wonderful they participate in this event as it allows every budget to experience this great restuarant!
Portions were small were for Restaurant Week. The presentation of the entrée was not what I would expected from Daniels. The food was tasty, the service was excellent. Might recommend a friend for Happy Hour
Wonderful food and service. Linen tablecloths and napkins. Steak cooked perfectly medium rare. I wish there had been fresh flowers on the table. Noise level very high.
Dinner with friends, we took advantage of Restaurant week menu. Perfect servings and food! Always a treat to eat at Daniels Leschi.
Another great date night, great good, great view and friendly staff.
Can't beat the view and the ambiance. The food was good but not great. Main dishes served with mashed potatoes and broccoli. Overall, their food is heavy with generous portions, nothing terribly guormet, not my thing but my husband loves this place.
Overall Daniels broiler was an excellent experience. The food the service and the location were all excellent. If you’re in Seattle this is a must go to place.
First time my wife and I went out for Seattle Restaurant week specials and Daniel's Broiler on Leschi delivered. We have been in this restaurant several times but never seen this bussy. Every seat in the restaurant was full including bar section. But I have to say service was impeccable I do not thing can be better. Thanks and I recommend this restaurant to everyone..
Service was great, but food wasn't as good as we expected with all the hype around this legendary place. Maybe it was because we went during the Seattle Restaurant Week that the quality was a little lower, but I wouldn't come on a regularly priced day to see if that's the case. The food is great, don't take me wrong, but it doesn't live to the expectations we had for closely-priced restaurants on Seattle.
Dined here this evening. We were ignored for 5-7 minutes upon arrival. Host never showed up but a waiter saw us standing around and finally came over to greet and seat us. (He admitted he didn’t know how to use the reservation check in system.)
I’d sent a message noting that we were there to celebrate a birthday. It also happens to be restaurant week which worked out well given the disappointing options on the regular menu (many of the items and sides we hoped to order were cooked with pork which neither of us eat). We opted for the miniature salmon on the restaurant week menu with the ceasar salad appetizer. Neither were particularly good and the salad was especially bad. The plated salmon was accompanied by a pile of mashed potatoes that took up the whole plate. I definitely could’ve made a better meal at home.
Nothing special happened for the birthday girl. I assumed they didn’t typically do anything celebratory once we got the check and were paying, until I saw a server bringing dessert and singing to a patron with a birthday at another table. Meh well. To be fair, the server probably never got the note I wasted my time submitting.
Overall, a subpar experience. I won’t be back. It’s also the birthday girl’s first trip to Seattle. She wasn’t impressed. Wish I had chosen better. (We’d visited Salty’s the night before and had an excellent meal with great service. So we’re 1 for 2 on the Seattle restaurants. Will try again elsewhere tomorrow.)
Good food, amazing atmosphere, lively noisy crowd just made it more fun.
Food was great but the service is terrible. The waiter was impolite and forgot what we ordered. So we ended up eating the wrong food and left the restaurant.
