We had some gift cards for Daniel's Broiler so we decided to make a night of it. We thought it might be interesting to go to the Leschi location. First issue - even though we booked through OpenTable and had gotten several reminders, the restaurant had no record of us and made me pull it up on my phone to prove that we, indeed, had a reservation. Once they saw that, they quickly seated us. We saw a window table open so we requested it and, after a few minutes, we seated there. Can't really complain - despite the reservation glitch or maybe because of it, we ended up with one of the best tables in the house. We decided to go with an appetizer - bacon wrapped scallops. Pretty awful - the bacon was charcoal. Frankly, we should have sent it back but we were trying to stay positive. In any case, I would avoid that particular dish. We each had Daniel's Cut Filet Mignons. I had medium well which was to my liking. My wife went with medium rare, but it was practically blue when it arrived. She sent it back which took time. Always awkward when one person has their dinner served and the other is waiting, but that happens. Once it arrived it was fine. The food is good, but not really $100 steak good. The place is something of a local institution, but really isn't all that great for what they charge. The noise level is really high - making conversation a bit difficult for a couple of seniors like my wife and I. I doubt we'll be back.

Came here to celebrate me and my wife’s anniversary. The view is great and the service was fantastic. We ordered the jalapeño scallops for an appetizer and it was delicious. The clam chowder soup was okay but the wedge salad was good. For the main course we got the bone in ribeye and the scallops (forgot the name of the plate). The bone in ribeye was MR but the char on it was way too over powering. Neither my wife or me enjoyed it. We had to dip into peppercorn sauce to get some of the char flavoring out (think burned). If we were to come again, we would ask to minimize the char. The coconut ice cream dessert was delicious and so was the butter cake. The overall rating is based on the steak since it is a steakhouse.

Daniel's Steakhouse offers a delightful dining experience with its inviting atmosphere and impeccable service. My partner and I enjoyed a lovely evening starting with the delicious calamari appetizer, served promptly by our attentive and knowledgeable server Kramer. Our corner table provided a cozy ambiance and a great view. While my partner relished his New York strip, unfortunately, we were informed after ordering that the chef had run out of mashed potatoes, which was disappointing given the entree's price point. Similarly, my ahi tuna with fingerling potatoes and chimichurri sauce was flavorful, but the potatoes were overcooked and crunchy, detracting from the overall enjoyment. Comparing this experience to previous visits to Daniel's, particularly the SLU location, I couldn't help but feel a bit let down by the portion sizes and presentation of the entrees at the Leschi location. The chef seemed to fall short in comparison. However, our evening ended on a high note with indulgent espresso martinis, and throughout the meal, our server remained exceptionally friendly and accommodating. Despite some disappointments, we still had a memorable Valentine's Day/ Anniversary celebration at Daniel's Steakhouse.

We had appetizers, drinks, seafood steak and vegetables as well as dessert and there wasn't a bad thing we had. Everything was delicious and the entire staff was friendly. We were checked on frequently but it was never intrusive or a bother. Unfortunately we were there pretty late in the day so we couldn't really enjoy the outside view but the restaurant interior was lovely. Fantastic experience all the way around.

Service was great!! Our family has been to DB - Leschi many times but this time, steaks were extremely bland. We order 2 bone in rib eyes and 1 rib eye and it was not the normal taste we are used to.

We came to Daniel's for my birthday. I always enjoy the atmosphere. This is a beautiful place to dine. Love their food. Greeted at arrival and taken to a window table. Appetizers were awesome, we had calamari and crispy artichoke hearts with an aioli. The crispy artichoke was something new. I ordered a Del Monaco steak, my wife had rib-eye and daughter had New York. Excellent steaks, cooked to perfection and great flavor. I did mine Oscar style which is a great way to go. We added a side of crispy Brussel sprouts to share which were delicious. Added spice with peppers and very crispy. The restaurant provides a coconut ice cream dish for the birthday celebration. The bowl is covered in chocolate and layered with toasted and fresh coconut and has a couple scoops of coconut ice cream with more toasted coconut. This is wonderful! The service was great, server checked on us with good timing so we could answer lol. A little quiet for a birthday celebration though. Pricing is high. I'm sure this is not the restaurants fault as we still have high inflation. I believe in the last 3 years these prices have gone up considerably. I still give this a 5 star overall as I love the food and ambiance.

The food was decent but the service was mediocre and the timing of service was off. Took a long time for greeting and drink order. When food was ordered we barely finished a course before the next was hurriedly brought out (one more calamari as salads arrived; salad plates still on table as entrees arriving). The check came before our dessert.

the service is outstanding. The food was good but not great, I would have expected more for what we paid. Portions were small. Drinks were expensive. For what we paid not counting service your margin of profit (COG vs. Menu Price) was probably 95% maybe more.

We have been coming to Daniels for years. It isn't the same, but neither are we. Daniel, the old boy, is dated and feels stale. Many favorites are no longer on the menu. (Steak Tartar, tomato, blue cheese, and Walla Walla onion salad, onion rings) I expect high prices for some meat, but WOW. We had a light meal; Grilled Scallops were burned on the underside (out of sight), and the tuna appetizer was so cold it had no flavor. When dining at a fine restaurant I usually dress up a bit - for others as much as for myself. But at Daniels -Leschi - why bother? even the staff seems not to own a mirror. Schwartz Bros adds 20% to the check - I have no problem with a 20% tip, but one has to pay sales tax on that tip, which is mandated when this approach is taken. And that is the last impression the “customer" is left with at the end of the meal. I hope Daniels is still around when we decide to give it a try. Next time, split a steak and a baked potato,

Very disappointed. We each ordered a Filet Mignon well done. No lecture on well done steaks. Chefs who know how to cook are able to correctly cook well done steaks. Never had a bad experience when ordering a well done Filet Mignon at El Gaucho. When the cooked steaks were delivered, they asked us to cut into the steaks to see if it was cooked correctly. When I place my fork on the top of the steak, I immediately knew the steak was undercooked based on the feel of the top of the steak (why didn't the Chef know this?). When I cut into the steak, it was cooked to a medium rare. Both steaks were the same. They took the steaks back to cook longer. After the additional cooking, the steaks were well done in the middle but charred on the top (which part was uneatable). I wanted to ask for a new steak but did not. Unfortunately, this was an expensive ($400) and disappointing dinner.

Daniel's is our favorite place to meet for good conversation, good food and good times. The food is exceptional and the service is outstanding. Get a table in Michael's section if possible.
