Daniel's Broiler - Lake Union Ratings and Reviews
Wait staff is excellent, food is definitely on the pricier side but comparable to most other high-end steak houses. Meals were well prepared and presented.
If you are considering Bellevue Daniels, take the extra few minutes and travel to S. Lake Union the service is way better.
My second visit and the final. It an expensive place and the steak was not worth the price. On my first time there about a 2 years ago. I was surprise by how good the steak was. Took my wife this Time for her birthday.....Not worth it. If you don't want to spend $200 for a meal of 2. Don't do it
Amazing food and service on New Years Eve. Steaks were cooked to perfection. The lobster was huge and also amazing. The manager came over and personally greeted us and wished us a Happy New Year. We had a four person table right on the corner of the restaurant which was the perfect view and spot with the marina, water, and city lights behind us. I would recommend asking for a water view table because you can end up more in the dining room area.
We've been to Daniel's many times but this time was not the best experience, mostly due to our waitress who told us the Lobster did not come with a vegetable so we paid +$12 for a side only to have the Lobster come with broccolini and potato! They have a new 20% tip policy and it seemed our waitress really wanted to ramp up her tip by really pushing the extras including cocktails. She came to our table more to ask about ordering more beverages than she did to see how we were doing, and consequently our dinners came out luke warm; we think because she was holding out hoping we would order more while we waited. We'll definitely be back, and attribute this poor service strictly to her, but we will definitely make sure the manager knows next time if we sense the same thing is occurring again.
It was our third or fourth time at Daniel's and besides the wonderful atmosphere and good company of my husband, I was for the first time, a little disappointed. The scallop appetizer is fantastic, the tuna appetizer pretty good, the bread is nice and I love that the butter is soft on arrival. What disappointed me was the steak - surprising considering our former visits. Delmonico ordered medium rare and looked so when delivered as it was cut in half right down the middle and looked nice and red. We each had a few good bites until we reached the thinner parts of the steak which were much overdone. I decided that I wanted to say something about it because for $75 I expect better. It was not the melt in my mouth experience that I expected. In fact, my steaks on the grill are better at home.
It was quite a while before we saw anyone because after our steaks were delivered by an unknown face there were no more visits. I purposely left several bites on my plate and traded a little of my overdone portion with my husband's medium-rare portion. He devoured his with a good attitude but when the server finally came around and I showed him the brown bites on my plate he briskly took it away. It was clear that he was irritated and then a manager came around and offered dessert as he explained that it was impossible to make the entire steak medium rare. I still felt unappeased especially since I never got my plate back. I could have at least given it to the dog! He knew I was disappointed and felt cheated and soon came back with $40 in gift cards which did make me feel better and also gave us a dessert. To be made to feel shame for speaking up cast a pall on our experience. After dessert I felt like our server was back with us and friendly but the moment I complained was so awkward.
Being the same restaurant that the one in Leschi lake Washington view...I was very disappoint about the food flavor and texture.Jumbo Steak Scampi prawns were definitely not jumbo, way overcook and refrigerated flavor same as the broccoli, rise was very wet and for sure wasn't brown, Oysters Rockefeller not so good as in the other location neither...nothing good for a big bill, rather to pay in the one at Leschi...service was more than great specially at the bar.
We dined for my wife's birthday, and the food and service was great. Atmosphere was enjoyable in both the lounge and seated for dining. Great view and added bonus on Lake Union is the dockside convenience! I am anxious to go back to order the rib eye that my wife had!
Thank you to our wonderful server, Scott, for providing us with most exceptional customer service experience, to the chef and culinary team for preparing everything we ordered to perfection and to all in the Daniel's team who came by to give holiday wishes and check on our family. There is a reason Daniel's is and will remain the dining destination for all of our family's special occasions and holidays.
It was fine, just incredibly expensive for what you get. I probably wouldn't recommend it to a friend just because of that. My prime rib was fatty, but overall our food was good. Our bill came to $111 A PERSON, and I just can't reconcile that to what we got. It was fine but not great.
Was not expecting the level of food for a brunch. I ordered the chicken fried steak and, I have to say, the BEST CHICKET FRIED STEAK I HAVE EVER HAD!!! And I've had my fair share of them. They actually use prime cuts of steak for it... didn't even need the knife. I will be visiting for brunch again.
Highly disappointed! We are long time patrons of Daniels and returned for a special date after moving out of state 5yrs ago. Our rib eye was lackluster to say the least, full of grizzle and lacking flavor. For the premium price paid we were very disappointed and likely won't return.
My sons $80.00 filet came out over cooked and it took them 20 minutes to replace it. Service was below par. In my opinion the charging of the service charge in place of allowing the customer tip the wait staff diminishes the dining experience and the wait staff doesn’t try as hard to satisfy their customers
Wonderful service for what has become an annual family holiday tradition. Steak and lamb was outstanding - lobster so-so. My only complaint was the phone call we received the day of to tell us that there is a two hour limit to the table. That felt cheap and tacky- especially when there are factors outside of our control such as timing of the kitchen, etc.
Seated immediately. Attended to quickly and friendly. Never rushed. My beer was good. The appetizer we ordered was excellent. I thought the main course came out, curiously too fast.
My meal was cooked to order and was very good. The only compaint was that both the steak and side were luke warm. A well done filet (apologize) and two rib eyes were out to us within 10 minutes of the drop of the salad and appetizer.
Made it seem a little pre perpared. But still a great evening and great tasting food.
Our meal was delicious, though we did not like the Applewood cocktails that much. Wish we had selected a cocktail we were familiar with. The lobster bisque was wonderful. The filet mignon was excellent; so were the garlic mashed potatoes. I took some of my food with me, so I had room for dessert: delicious coconut ice cream. It was fun seeing the Christmas ships leaving the marina while we were there. The service was outstanding. Nice to have the manager stop by to stay hello.
