Daniel's Broiler - Lake Union Ratings and Reviews
We made a reservation only 4 days in advance for 7pm on Friday, and they were able to accommodate us. Celebrating my brother and sister in law's 39th wedding anniversary. We were treated wonderfully from the moment we entered the door. Cocktails were wonderful and our table was ready within minutes. Fabulous food and superb service. A little pricey, but had a great time. They brought the anniversary couple a complimentary dessert. Nice touch!
The waiter was in training, we had to ask for drinks, ask twice for bread, got the order side dish order wrong, so when they brought it back to fix, my steak went with it, which then came back cold. Had to ask for drink refills. Brought the espresso without sugar, had to ask twice, finally when it showed up it was cold. Spent over $250 for a mediocre service at best. Very disappointed!
Arrived within an hour of making reservation, restaurant closed without notice on their reservation line, open table, or even on their restaurant door. We drove a long way in rain for nothing on a special occasion. Complained, no apology, nothing. Dirtbag service.
This was our first visit to Daniel’s and, based on what we had heard from others, we expected to be wowed. Daniel’s did not disappoint! The ambiance was perfect, evening views were beautiful, and the staff was delightful! And the food was SO delicious! I asked our waiter for a recommendation, three of the four people at our table ended having the same thing that he recommended, and it was perfect! I would definitely recommend for a special occasion and we’ll definitely go back!
As always the service, ambience and FOOD was spectacular. Stacy was extremely knowledgeable about the menu and was able to make a great suggestion for a sub for the wine i wanted. Thus was the first time my family make the trip here and they were so happy with the experience and the food I won't take anyone anywhere else you guys are absolutely awesome and I thank you for what you do every day! See you soon!
I met a friend to celebrate both of our birthdays at Daniels on Lake Union. Being hard of hearing i asked for a seat that was not in the center of the room. They gave us a booth that was so nice that i could catch up with a friend after a number of years and i could actually hear him!! Thank you so much!! The appetizers and dinners were delicious and we even got a surprise for it being our birthdays! Service was excellent. Although we really took our time to enjoy the time spent together and the ambiance we did not feel rushed by the waitstaff which was appreciated! I recommend Daniels on Lake Union for all occasions such a special place! Thank you so much to all the staff for a wonderful experience!
Filet flight was AMAZING and the service was excellent. We split the flight and they gave each of a choice of our own side. Definitely impressed our business associates from Texas and they know their steak. We had a party of 5 and all the food arrived hot and at the same time. It was a perfect presentation.
We went to Daniel's to celebrate our anniversary. Our meal and experience was outstanding, from the craft cocktails to the perfectly prepared food (my Ora King Salmon melted in my mouth, and my husband's filet was spectacular) to the friendly, attentive service and the view of Lake Union. Highly recommended for a special occasion -- worth every penny!
Special Family occasions come too rarely anymore so it is very important that the place we choose is special. Daniel's Broiler was a place none of us had ever been & I had heard so many great things about it, I figured we'd better go and I am so very happy we did!! It was so much better than I imagined, very comfortable with a fabulous view, impeccable service, imaginative dishes to tantalize your taste buds and the best steak(s) I've ever eaten. The awesome company topped it all off, with everyone raving. We will most definitely be back!
Thank you - the Strizics, Thomas's & Dewitt's.
This was an overly expensive restaurant that starts out by showing you a case full of raw meat. I ordered 3 items on the menu. The lobster mac and cheese was very good but, they insisted on showing off the lobster shell by placing the lobster meet on top of it and then removing it at the table. I ordered the stuffed mushrooms. This should be a hot appritizer, unfortunately this was served with a cold marinara pored over it. The 3rd item was the filet mignon. This was cooked perfectly, unfortunately, this was drenched in a large amount of sickeningly sweet Costco Yoshida sauce. My companion got a salad and jumbo prawn coctail. We drank ice tea. For this we paid $108! The server came by so frequently that I felt anxious and wanted to leave. I understand why the restaurant was empty. ..
I have always loved Daniels on Lake Union and have NEVER experienced the experiences I had this week. I had two nights of business meetings and was dissapointed on each occassion. Our meals were slow in coming and when they were served they were warm and cold. My quest had to have potatoes replaced and stakes heated up which put a stop to the conversation. The waiter had NO apologies and No informastion about why it was slow. If I knew his name i would be sure not to be in section again.
How dissapointing after years of support and wonderful dinners and meetings with clients at this location.
It’ needs help - parking should be the only frustration.
Just recently relocated from the east coast and I normally order my beef at a medium rare heat. I ordered the prime rib and was reminded that it was being served at a medium rare heat at that time. Perfect, I thought, however it was more rare. This is actually the third time that I ordered meat at my preferred heat. What I have come to realize that medium rare on the east coast versus west coast is very different. Medium rare is state as being warm outer and cool center. Medium rare that I always have known is medium warm outer with a warm pink center. So that being said, the prime rib was delicious in the areas it was cooked properly to my expectations, however there was a lot that was served pretty rare.
I advise ordering your meat at medium.
All and all I will be back and trully enjoyed the vibe and service!
Best lobster in town but the small filet with it was just so-so. The shrimp blue cheese salad was a bit disappointing as the shrimp were so small you could barely see them in the darkened restaurant and the blue cheese flavor not strong enough in my option. This is also a VERY expensive restaurant (which we knew before we went). After adding tax, $8 for parking (in their lot, mind you) and an automatic 20% tip whether you had good service or not (it was adequate), our meal - consisting of two salads, one steak entree and one $115 steak and lobster entree plus one cup of coffee (no extras, appetizers or desserts) - came to $285. It was a lovely evening but we're just not sure it was worth $285 ... $290 by the time you add the $5 tip to the valet to get the car. Go there again? Only if someone else is buying, LOL.
Took my girlfriend for an anniversary, and we've never had a better steak in our lives. Our waiter (Scott - s/o to him) was more than excellent. He gave us his suggestions on wine pairings, and even had some fun educating us on the basics of wine.
Very expensive, but it's absolutely worth it. Make sure it's a special occasion and put a reservation in, because they'll give a table with an amazing view!
Despite our server also having a birthday table of 10 in her section, service was fast and the right level of attentive and friendly. My date and I ordered the raw oysters, which were delicious, and the flight of filet mignon steaks, which were perfectly cooked and allowed us to compare excellent types of meat side by side. The wine list featured some great Washington options!
Hi , my name is Egle Cassimore and me and my family was , I totally say WAS , a loyal customers of Daniels Broiler. Yesterday, we had a company visiting from France and we decided to take them to the place we love. Big mistake. Here is the points of what we absorb:
1. In the beginning, our waiter ( do not remember the name) , was attentive, but after we ordered our food , looks like he didn’t care to refil our drinks, or fill our champagne ( we were serving our selfs) , couldn’t order another bottle, because we didn’t know where he was.
2. All our food came at once- along with the bread, appetizers, soups, few entries. Our table was so crowded, it was no place to put hands on. Lobster bisque was cold, my daughters French fries was also cold. We wanted to complain, but again, couldn’t see our waiter. We asked to add shrimp to Cesar salad and to wedge salad. He charged us 36$ extra for few bay !!!! Shrimp! Not even prawns!! That salad looked horrible- like eating in some getto dinner! Again , I didn’t want to start complaining, to ruin the dinner. So we ate. Desert - cream brûlée was fridge cold, never heated up. I wanted to talk to manager, but didn’t want to act up in front our guests.
This add on tip to bill doesn’t work well- waiters are lazy to please. We wanted coffee and more champagne, but he served us with the bill before asking.
