The service was outstanding and the food was enjoyed by all in our party.
The steaks were amazing. Desserts incredible. Slightly over priced, but we found a really good new wine for a very decent price. Our server was really good, and the service was quick.
Have the Brussels sprouts !
For the price not what I expected, a prime steak is not "the thing" anymore, so a $72 steak with a mandatory 20% surcharge gets to be a little steep.
Went for Sunday Brunch and definitely was impressed. Quality of food and service was first class. We shall return!
Phenomenal service, every staff member called me by name. Everything we ordered came in a timely manner and was perfect. The view from our table of Lake Union was superb. The food was impeccable and worth every penny. This place is perfection.
Amazing!!! Would come back again for special occasions. Our server kept disappearing, but neighbouring table's server took care of us while ours was MIA.
Meal and service was amazing. Had reservations for 7:45 but didn't sit down to our table until 8:20. Late for our show because of it. Also, paid 350 for dinner for two and can't even park for free??? Pretty sure I won't be back
worst dining experience and valet service I’ve ever received. It was a special occasion ruined by unprofessionalism.
Hard not to love eating steak in front of a fireplace with some of the best wine by the glass in town. We didn't have reservations but lucked out with plenty of room in the bar. I ordered the boneless Ribeye but my server insisted i get the bone-in. She also helped me find the perfect glass of wine, D2 from Delille Cellars. The two paired perfectly. My date ordered the filet flight with garlic mashed potatoes. All three cooked exactly as ordered and of course knife checked upon our servers request. Thank you Daniel's Broiler, we look forward to many more visits.
Such a great venue with incredible food! This was a very special date night.
Seven of us went for a Sunday brunch to celebrate my husbands birthday. Great service, great food, great view. Good value for brunch!
Another fine experience at Daniels. Molly our server was exceptionally nice, knowledgeable and attentive.
Meats and sides were wonderfully cooked - but slightly over salted. If they have apple or blackberry tart for dessert - order it. If they only have pear tarts - skip it. Service was excellent. I’m always ticked when I have to pay for parking after spending several hundred on dinner.
Really couldn’t ask for more. Great experience. Noise level was rated a little high because we had a big group (10) of boisterous guys next to us.
The wait staff we had was inattentive. He asked us if we were ready to order then walked away, offered bread he didn't bring for 10 minutes, we ordered the macaroni without lobster due to a food allergy and it came with lobster, only one of us could eat it. He seemed bored, and the included 20% "mandatory service charge" was fairly high given the level of service we ended up receiving. I think next time I'll go to El Gaucho, or Ruth's Chris instead.
We had a great evening as always, food was delicious & service was attentive. You know going there that the cost is a little expensive but I feel it is well worth it, the steaks & lobster are prepared excellent. Great for date night or special occassions.
I have been here many times, this time my steak was more expensive and sadly not so good. It had an overwhelming taste of Charcoal and lack of seasoning. Which was disappointing considering this is the only reason I go here.
My husband and I celebrated our anniversary and an early Valentines meal at lunch time on Sat Feb 10th & were incredibly disappointed with our experience. We ordered a crab Louie salad and got over halfway through eating it before the expediter brought the salad dressing to our table. Our second course was a Delmonico steak with peppercorn demi glace and we were 1/3 through that before our waiter brought the demiglaze to the table. He apologized both times, so when he brought our bread pudding dessert, I jokingly asked if there was a sauce he might have forgotten and he laughed and said no, then after we had eaten at least half, he showed up to the table with a caramel sauce and said he forgot it actually DID come with a sauce. In the past, we might have given a tip that was less than 20% for inadequate service, but since Daniels now insists on a tip of 20% included on the bill, it seems as though servers no longer push themselves to give their best service. It would have been nice if the server had at least offered to comp at least part of the $158.00 lunch bill for our less than stellar service at that establishment.
We had a double date here last weekend. Daniels never disappoints! We have compared the steaks at other high end steakhouses and we always go back to Daniels. The steaks are exceptional and melt in your mouth. My boyfriend doesn’t even like seafood but we always order the popcorn shrimp and calamari appetizers because they are amazing! We haven’t tried anything we don’t like and they always make us feel special. Daniels is the best!
Food was good. Service felt a bit rushed. When spending 3to400 on dinner for two you want to spend time enjoying, not experiencing the service of outback.
This is the most awesome dining experience I've had in many years!!!
Overall good but had to send back undercooked meals then it was really dry. Not as good as usual.
We were a little disappointed because they brought one of our group the wrong lunch item. He said he would eat it and not send back, so the table was not waiting for him. That said, I thought they should have comped his sandwich or at least offered a free dessert. They made a mistake and did not seem very concerned about it. I also noticed that the quality of the lobster club salad has changed. Not as good as it used to be.
Birthday. Treated like royalty! Always one of my favorite restaurants when I’m in town from Orlando Florida
Foods are excellent!
I hope that the front desk people are more friendly.
Wehad not been to Daniels in a while and it was excellent. We showed up for a 7PM reservation and were seated promptly. The server was good, gave us the run down of the menu and things to consider. I had the rib eye, cooked medium rare. Nice touch that the waiter has you cut into it and inspect to ensure it is cooked to your satisfaction. Overall great experience and look forward to another date!
It was our friend's 24th wedding anniversary- it was lovely
We had an excellent experience. Great food. Great waiter! Great atmosphere. This is a very expensive restaurant and we could never do this on a regular (even semi-regular) basis. But we knew that going in. We were able to use gift cards we had purchased on a promotion. If you can afford it- I highly recommend Daniel’s Broiler!
A get together with friends from out of town.
$65 Ribeye was just ok, chocolate cake was flaky and dry. Server was professional but lacked any character and was just going through the motions.
Excellent food and ambiance! Waiters are knowledgeable and helpful. Had a wonderful time.
I have been to this restaurant a lot and its has slipped from a year ago. One of the biggest challenges they have is adjusting to the minimum wage issues in Washington, and unlike a lot of restaurants, they have chosen to include a 20% service charge on the entire bill for all size parties. This includes wine and a huge oenophile, that spent and spends a fair bit on wine - at least $100+ per meal and usually a lot more, tipping 20% as mandatory rubs me the wrong way. When asked the Manager said there was a form on the table explaining this policy - At Friday's I guess you read the stuff on the table, at a first class steakhouse I think this cheapens them and assumes their clients faster food eaters. Also this should be clear on their wine list - which is fantastic. The manager made it clear I was in the wrong and the restaurant had to maintain its margins with the new minimum wage law - I hat minimum wages because it drives bad behavior for all. Its clear that is happening here. We also had an overcooked steak which we chose to keep just given the continuity of the meal. Bottom line - there are better places for grilled seafood and steak in Seattle that I's sure have more customer aligned onsite management and better service and at least as good if not better food. As for the wines - they will sell a lost less high end wine given this situation - my days of spending 500-700 for wine for a party of four are over at this restaurant - come to think of it - my days going to this restaurant are over all together. And in looking at the expense reports for myself and my employees that used the restaurant, that is about $10,000 that will spent elsewhere this year in Seattle. Thank goodness we have such a great evolving restaurant scene in Seattle for better options.
A fantastic experience, as always!
Exceptional customer service from the time you walk in all the way to the end. Very welcoming atmosphere, friendly staff and the food are excellent. Compliments to the Chef. Our experience here for our anniversary is way better than our experience at Ray’s Boathouse.
I've dined at Daniel's South Lake Union many times, and have never been disappointed until I went for brunch. The food was so-so, meaning the entire table, aside from 1 in the group, ordered some form of eggs benedict. The eggs were all overcooked. Clearly the chef(s) do not know how to poach an egg. The other issue we had, which was not a big deal, is that one dish had to go back as it was not as ordered. The server was apologetic and very nice - however we were not approached by the manager to check in - as normally would be the case - nor was that meal comped, which again, is pretty standard in restaurants. We certainly had no issue paying for the mistake, however they also have started adding a 20% gratuity to every check - and this was not the case due to part size. We were only 5 people. I am a good tipper, if the service and experience warrants a good tip - but when food needs to be sent back, they should not force a tip so high. 20% is for stellar service. That was not the case. I will continue to go to Daniels for dinner on occasion, but never will be back for brunch.
I would definitely recommend Daniels Broiler. It was an exceptional experience.
We have been to this location multiple times - this visit the food was average, but charged a premium price — $62 for filet mignon, $55 for prime rib etc.. they now charge a 20% gratuity automatically - unfortunately we did not receive service that would be expected for a 20% automatic gratuity - our server had an attitude and was quite condescending, my filet was okay but my husband’s prime rib was tough. Overall experience was med to low and mainly because of the service and the price for two with a drink, bottle of wine and 2 dinners was $285 - definitely not worth the price and even though we have come here for many visits - will not come back again
Food and service was excellent. As we know our wines, we felt the markup was pretty high on some bottles, but we suppose you can charge whatever the market will bare.
Celebrated 4 years cancer free!
