Always my favorite!
We made the reservation to eat dinner with my GF, 1st dinner date and wanted to make it memorable and special before we attend the Prom Night located just walks away from the venue, Museum of History and Industry. Although we were not able to get the table by the water as I have requested when I first made the reservation, the food did not disappoint. Since it was our first time to try Daniel's broiler, I don't have much to say yet, except, we really like it. Hopefully, we'll be able to visit again in the future.
Out of this world experience for my first time at a legit steak house.
Tried squeezing 7 into 6 top. Slow service yet sign on table that 20pct gratuity applied. Good food, over priced.
Price is expensive, but you expect that coming to the restaurant. However with a 20% automatic gratuity on the bill for service, I'd expect excellent service. When I made the reservation I had specifically asked for a window (for two people, so that should not be difficult) and the waitress who sat me down looked lost and then picked a table near a window. That was probably the only annoying thing because I had explicitly asked for a window seat and would have preferred to just wait before I was seated. The food was excellent and presentation was nice as well.
I've gone to Daniel's for years for special occasions. This last visit was a bit of a disappointment regarding my food. I got the scampi, and while the size of the shrimp was impressive, the taste pretty bland. I expected more of a garlic flavor than what I tasted. The shrimp were barely warm and my baked potato was undercooked. The remainder of our party enjoyed thier steaks--a New York and two filet mignons. Also, our popcorn shrimp appetizer was slightly undercooked (raw batter in the middle of some shrimp). None of the issues with the food seemed worth asking for new food (besides, my family hates making a fuss). With the price increases and some less than spectacular food during this last visit, I will rethink where I want to go for special occasions.
My husband came here to celebrate my birthday . I remember their seared scallops but it was no longer on the menu. So I decided to order 3 appetizers and a Spanich salad. The salad was excellent! That’s it. The coconut fried lobster tail was powdery. The seared ahi Tuna was dry and the ponzu sauce was so salty. The jumbo prawn cocktail was eatable but didn’t satisfy my anticipation of this special night. Very disappointed. My husband enjoyed his steak though. Next birthday, AQUA
Overall outstanding. The food was excellent and the service was too. This is the best location of the three Daniel’s.
We usually go to Danie's Broiler in Leschi but for my birthday, we decided to go to Lake Union instead (wrong decision). We noticed the manager greeted every customer in our area, except us. The only reason he came to our table was because there was hair in my salad. The server was nice but overall, it was a bad experience.
The food was fantastic, the service was outstanding, the prices were absurd. We ate very well indeed, but the out the door was well over $500. The least expensive entre on the menu is $44. That doesn't cover sides. I will say that for top end steak houses, the price point is about the same as the Metropolitan Grill and the food is better and there is more variety. If you want a truely TOP end dinner, and price is no object, this may be your place.
Minh is an amazing waiter. So very professional and outgoing. Love this place.
Great - thank you
Easter brunch was very nice but the 20% surcharge was a surprise and for that alone I would have a difficult time recommending it.
Went to Easter Brunch at Daniels on Lake Union. Fixed price at $55 per person for two courses plus a small piece of coffee cake. Choice of 3 starters and 5 entrees. Food was excellent, but I can't say worth the cost, as the total for 4 adults was $310 and all we drank was coffee ($4 a cup.) Service was friendly, but a bit erratic. I'm not a fan of the policy of charging a fixed 20 percent service charge that the restaurant retains, paying staff only by the hour.
Extremely disappointed in the Easter brunch. I somehow missed it was a set menu with much limited choices... and not anything we were excited about. My fault, so we tried to move on. The coffee cake was served cold straight out of a bag. The fruit we thought would be mixed fresh fruit was a plate of strawberries with the ends cut off, sticking up, and some were molded. My seafood omelette was good and my husband like his Eggs Benedict; however, those were really the only choices unless you wanted pork or steak at 10a. I appreciated the manager coming over and explaining I ready the website incorrectly. It felt like a meal that was thrown together with what was available in the fridge. Very different than the typical Daniels experience.
Great stake. Good wait staff. Not too noisy! Made for great 70th birthday celebrations.
Was just ok. Food and service as expected but nothing spectacular. Noted on our reservation that we were celebrating an anniversary, no acknowledgement or ask if it was a special occasion. No ask about refilling drinks, service slow despite not being packed. An ok brunch experience but probably wouldn’t return. I’m all for restaurants taking care of their servers and usually tip 20% for fine dining but the service did not justify the tip in this case.
Daniel's Broiler did not disappoint. We have gone a few times and the food was awesome. The service is also awesome. They go above and beyond to make sure that you're satisfied.
In March 2017 had probably the best steak I've ever had at Daniel's. One year later same location, same cut, and it was okay, but nothing special. Overall experience was good, not great.
Our server was outstanding. Many thanks to our server, Aaron S who was attentive but not intrusive, took care of my guests pleasantly, but not overboard. Nice quiet atmosphere allowing for business discussion.
Celebrating an outstanding quarter with our staff. Service was great and the food was very good.
Service and view is worth the money but the food was not, I enjoyed my first experience there a while ago but last Saturday was far from expectation .
This is my husband's go-to restaurant for his birthday and we love the weekend for Happy Hour. Service is superb, food and drinks excellent and you can't beat the view.
We came here for brunch to celebrate my fiance's birthday. The food was good and the service was ok. The one thing that did not meet my expectation was the orange juice. Sometimes little things would stick out to me, since I work in the hospitality industry. I was unable to rate the service on their website noted on their postcards, so I emailed the CEO because her email was on a note card on all of the tables. The orange juice tasted like it had gone extremely bad as if it was sitting outside in an air tight container. I would know since I drink orange juice on a regular basis both freshly squeeze and the concentrated juice. Surprisely, the General Manager responded to my email and claimed that the juice was never sitting outside and was fresh from the morning of the meal. I highly doubt it was fresh from that morning because it tasted so horrible that I only had one sip. Also, no fine dining restaurant would charge only $2.95 for a glass of "Fresh" orange juice, so be real now. I was quite upset about the email more so than the bad orange juice. If anyone is expecting an apologize from this place for something as small as my issue, please forget about it. Obviously, this place have not master the art of guest recovery and owning up to their cons.
Outstanding! My favorite restaurant in Seattle!!
Nice establishment, however steak is a let down. Don’t go here if your expecting a special prime dry aged steak, like most NY style steakhouses. They do use prime cuts, however very tough.. that aside, nice people, nice views, and built in 20% tip, not sure the reasoning behind that, but cheapens the experience a little. Room for improvement and an opportunity for a very special place, if they change
Over priced did not like the 20% auto gratuity. Steak had to be sent back and redone. It was over cooked. Much better steak restaurants in Seattle
Amazing!! Food - delicious! Ambience always wonderful!!
Great steaks and attentive service. Daniel's on SLU is one of the best dinning options in Seattle.
Food was not nearly as good as it used to be. My NY Steak was a poor cut. The restaurant-enforced 20% service fee ensures mediocre service. Doubtful we’ll be back.
I've had a really good dinner at Daniel's Broiler, but brunch was a disappointment. Nothing special here in terms of menu items, ingredients, preparation or taste.
Dinner's were pricey. Not much variety in the dinners offered. We were seated at a 6 top round table and it was only 2 of us. I made the reservations about a week out so it wasn't last minute that they had to seat us anywhere there was an opening.
Service was good and attentive.
Everything we ordered was very tasty and the service was great, they went out of their way to make sure everything was fine, we will be back.
Excellent. We had such fun, good food for 2 birthdays. A senior and a 12 year old. Wonderful. Thanks. Maggie
Experience was great! Was treated very kindly and always had what we needed. Min was amazing! I will be asking for his area next time we dine here. Amazing amazing amAzing.
Amazing steaks. Peppercorn sauce is made by baby angles.
Excellent seat made for a perfect dinner. Food was also perfect. Our server was great as well.
Daniel's Broiler was great. The food, service and atmosphere was awesome. We went to dinner for our anniversary and loved it so much, we returned for Sunday brunch.
The food and service were great altho the parking was confusing and I got a ticket so that was unpleasant.
Still the best steaks in Seattle! A great spot for lunch, wonderful view of the lake. Great service.
