Alaskan "Copper River King Salmon" is the yearly highlight of Salmon season in Seattle, WA, and it only runs for about one month. Daniel's Broiler was doing their first grilling of this extraordinary delicacy the night we arrived, fully expecting to have a hard time choosing the steak of the night: but, folks who really know how to grill steaks, and that's the Daniel's folks, are the first choice for grilling Copper River Salmon! So we both (after a long and serious discussion with our delightful, and highly attentive, waitress) ordered it "medium rare, with excessive warnings that it should not be even a tad past that," and it was PERFECT!
PERFECT! That's it.
The head waiter dropped by to check things out, and we, again, said "PERFECT!"
Over and out!

Food came out cold/tepid. Unacceptable for $80 steak. Waiter never asked how the food was.

Our young waiter seemed to be newly promoted, making several mistakes and forgetting repeated requests from our table. Not what you expect when spending $500 on a meal for 4 on Mother’s Day.

On Mother’s Day they couldn’t cook the steak correctly for my wife. Twice, they cooked it wrong. Waitress was not around and finally when she did come to table she spilled my wife’s drink and then stated she would be happy to remake her “half” a drink because it was obvious my wife had drank some!!! $500, I would rather have gone to Red Robin 10 times. Not a classy place, just classy prices.

Extremely disappointing. Our party of 3 adults was seated next to a party of 14 with 5 rambunctious children - running around the table, in and out of the door leading to the deck - and no one said a word. Then an employee decides its time to spray ammonia cleaner on the glass and clean during dinner (~730pm). Nothing like having the taste of glass cleaner in the air while eating a $75 steak.

We’re visiting from out of town and went to Daniels based on a recommendation. I was expecting a premier steak house with attention to service detail. Instead, from the time we entered the restaurant to our departure, it was one disappointment after another. I guess I should have suspected something was amiss when we were “greeted” by 2 police officers who were departing.

Waiter forgot to bring out my side dish and never came back till our dinner was almost over. So it was pointless to bring it out. Tips are already added on. I think it is poor taste for it to be auto added on especially when it's just a meal for two and sub par service. Also my steak was literally drowning in butter and edges were painfully burnt. Steak was so much better at Ruth's Chris, El Goucho, or Six Seven.

Great location and views of the lake but for the price so many better places. Service was great but the food was fair to average. Not worth the money for dinner. Go for drinks and appetizers on the patio and skip the overpriced steaks.

I am sorry but when someone throws up on the floor it is time to get a team on it. Not just one poor busboy to scrap off the top layer. The smell was disgusting and it ruined my wife’s dinner and just got worse. No offer to reseat us or move the kids out or remove the offending “sick” person. Is this now the norm for our $250+ dining experience. The adult male receptionist who we took for someone in charge could have cared less. It used to be a treat going to Daniels a place to celebrate but now it is just a high priced good location restaurant who’s time has passed.

Madison was excellent—highly professional, attentive & delivered outstanding client service. The food was very good—a little less batter on the artichoke hearts—maybe even go with a panko-type batter. And while the crab cakes were good, having eaten them all across the country—they weren’t the worlds best. Also, a little pricey, but a very good overall experience. Suggest having more seating options during cooler weather for happy hour other than the lobby.

Very loud. Lots of servers and other staff walking around all the time and stopping to chat with each other right next to our table.

Food was rushed. We were only halfway through our first glass of wine when our main courses came out, and that was after after appetizer and salad courses. The salad came before we finished our appetizer. Just felt like they wanted to turn the table as quickly as possible.

Server kept trying to upsell. When my husband ordered the plain old filet, she tried to get him to order the Wagyu filet for $130.

Food was okay. Husband's steak was good, but not $65 good. I had scampi for $40. It was just okay. Shrimp was overcooked with so much sauce it drowned out all other flavors.

Fantastic staff, food and atmosphere!

I selected Daniels Lake Union for an executive business lunch.
Our first contact was with Jessica the hostess who greeted us with a great and genuine smile. She was engaging and very professional. She enthusiastically accommodated our request for a slightly larger table so we could eat while working.

Excellent first impression of the restaurant and attention to customer service!

Our server was Sasha who was super helpful with menu recommendations and she was attentive throughout our meal. She knew it was a business lunch and took excellent care of the group.

Daniels Lake Union food is outstanding and our meal was delivered promptly.

Congratulations to General Manager Steve for excellent hiring and training. Your employees and delicious food food outshine your amazing view!

I highly recommend the restaurant.

Had celebrated Easter for Brunch but was totally disappointed with the food. Eggs benedict was overcooked, grapes were sour, potatoe was undercooked and hollandaise sauce was sparce. Like Daniel's Broiler went for quantity instead of quality. What happened? At $60.00 a person, totally over priced for the food we got. Presentation of the strawberry was appealing but the fruit was not sweet, barely ripe.
Daniel's Broiler, you could have done better...maybe you should just stay with steak.

While the food was good, it was not worth the $350 tab for 2 people. We had an appetizer, soup, salad and our main courses and a couple of glasses of overpriced wine. I have had better steaks at restaurants that don’t want your first born as payment. Everything was over priced. First and only time I will go there. I do have to say the service was excellent (automatic 20% tip is on your bill as well). Overall not worth the hype and cost

Everything was excellent. From the moment we entered and were seated at the lounge to await our table until we finished our dessert at our table with a beautiful view. Of course, for what it cost us ($310 including 4 drinks), the experience was what should be expected.
The steaks were excellent, the garlic mashed potatoes delicious, the wine delightful. For a once a year experience, I highly recommend it!

Daniel's Broiler is a great restaurant with a lovely ambience overlooking Lake Union. We were a party of five and we enjoyed a lovely window-facing table. Food and drinks were excellent, service was friendly - although it was very slow between the starter and main course and one dish was forgotten which was disappointing. Overall, a great restaurant and a lovely location.
