Service was great but we were placed one foot away from the other tables beside us. It was so close I could not talk to my husband because it felt like everyone could hear our conversation and I didn’t want to disturb other customers.

Went on a date here for Valentine's Day, and food and service was amazing! A little pricey, but well worth it in the end. Highly recommend!

Honestly as a seattle native this is sad.
I grew up with Daniels as a staple but the overall cost for what you get was shocking!
Beyond over priced for what you get.
Not to mention they sat us at a table that our legs were unable to fit under. No joke I’m 5’10” slender female and I’m the one that asked to be moved. We then watched them sit countless couples at these short tables - all also struggling.
Two steaks and a bottle of wine 400 dollars. Nothing that QFC wine dept and Costco steak couldn’t solve for 50 dollars. On top of that our reservation was 30 mins late.
That being said the service staff was kind and great. Clearly over extended...

Service was good, steaks and mashed potatoes were delicious. There was no background music like some other steak houses have. Live piano music goes a long way with ambiance.

Food and service were great for Valentine’s Day. The parking situation is much to be improved upon. There is paid parking lot but the parking app doesn’t work for the lot and there isn’t any other way to pay, which results in being forced to use valet or park far away. The table we received was very small in size and in height.
A beautiful view ialways enhances the experience of a nice restaurant and Daniel's Broiler on Lake Union does not disappoint in that category, or any other. The food was exceptional quality, perfectly prepared and exquisitely displayed. My wife and I were pleasantly surprised to find we could carry on a conversation without having to raise our voice at any time. From appetizer to desert the staff showed attention to details without interfering in the romantic experience we had hoped for on Valentine's Day.

I was not especially impressed with my meal of sea bass. The Caesar salad was good and my husband liked his lamb chops. Overall overpriced.

This was our first visit to Daniel's Broiler but have heard advertising of how special the food and service are. The service we experienced was as good as advertised. We were greeted warmly at the start including an explanation of the meat and seafood choices. Our server Savannah was friendly and did an outstanding job with our menu selections and making our anniversary celebration special.

It was good, the added 20% and I felt I was expected to tip more ($20) plus $12 parking and $5 tip to the valet, the experience was overpriced.

We enjoyed Daniel's and we go quite often for drinks/happy hour. This is a review of dinner. We ended up each having a martini in the bar while waiting for our table. Once seated, we each had a glass of sparkling rosé. We ordered oysters on the half shell to start, which were small but good. For dinner, we decided to split the New York steak (ordered medium rare) Oscar style. We also got 2 glasses of cab. Throughout the whole ordering process, we felt as though we were trying to be overly up-sold, even confirming a different, more expensive steak than we asked for. Once the steak came, it was ok, but definitely did not live up to our standards. It wasn't as tender as you would expect and my fiancé had a couple shells in her crab. When it was all said and done, the total bill was almost $300, including the automatic 20%. We don't have a problem spending that much, but felt that it was not a good value. I recently went to Butcher's Table and felt the quality was far superior for a similar cost. We will return to Daniel's for drinks in the bar, but we will not be going back for dinner.

Ordered the Daniels cut filet mignon and it was quite the disappointment. Lacked flavor and my medium rare was near medium well around the edges. Our waitress was outstanding!

I love Daniel’s and have gone many times over the years. We went on Sunday night 1-26-2020 to the South Lake Union location to celebrate the Lunar New Year, and sadly for whatever reasons things were not good. The service was extremely slow, and our server was good and did her best When things are mediocre and there is an automatic 20 percent tip, you are tipping for poor execution and that is not the way it should be. We ordered appetizers and they came quickly. We waited about 10 minutes after the appetizer plates were cleared to place out dinner order. It was another 35-40 minutes before the dinner arrive. During the wait, the man at the next table called the hostess over and I heard him tell her (as did everyone in the restaurant) that they had waited 45 minutes for a Salad and a piece of chicken. I ordered my steak Medium Rare and when I was asked to check it, it was medium and I did not want to wait again to get the steak properly cooked, so I said it was fine. The steak had sat in the window as it was not sizzling hot. Food to me was not up to Daniels’s standards it left me disappointed. It will probably be a while before I return.

Decent food but heard different servers telling different customers about the 20 %
service charge automatically charged to bills. Some said the restaurant didn’t share a portion with the server. Some said a portion went to them And the balance went to restaurant so not sure how I feel about the inconsistency.

It was a wonderful experience for a special occasion! The value though... $13 for a glass of Rosé, $83 for steak and mashed potatoes, $6 for SAUCE! It was all delicious but dang, it's expensive. We will likely be back for our next big celebrations (milestone birthday or anniversaries).

Slow service and felt nickel and dimed. Party of 4 we were charged a 20% service fee including on the $8 valet charge which we were asked if we wanted our parking “validated”. My husband has been unhappy with the value/service at Daniels our previous couple visits. This was his last straw.

Everything about the evening at Daniels Broiler was lovely. The view across Lake Union reflecting so many lights added a hint of magic. Our steaks were perfect, the wait staff attentive and pleasant. A truly FINE experience.

Had my taste buds set on lobster for this trip to Daniels...did NOT disappoint! It was fresh and prepared well. Had the bread pudding for dessert...what a treat that was! Plan on sharing; actually enough for 4 after a big meal. The only disappointment was the sparkling water; they have replaced Pellagrino with a Mexican brand...not nearly as good and they took it off of our bill. Hope they change back. Service was excellent. Looking forward to another visit soon.

My business guest had NY Strip and enjoyed it very much. I had a ribeye MR and it was tough - I have never had a tough ribeye before! Especially at Daniel's prices. We were seated between 2 large parties and could barely hear one another. All things considered - I will pick a different Seattle restaurant next time I am in town entertaining customers.

Other than my steak came to the table under cooked (which they immediately took back and got right) it was a very pleasant experience.

We had a drink in the bar while we waited for our table and the glass was dirty on the outside . the steak was a bit over cooked .( I never send anything back.)It took 68 minutes from the time we ordered to finally get our Entrée.I only know this because I called the sitter right after and I checked to see how long we waited. We payed the bill and was waiting for my change and the waiter kept it thinking I guess it was his .I have no problem tipping the 20% but I would of expected the waiter to leave it up to me if I was giving more .Wasn't a good night here . I prefer the Leschi location better.

The service was very good. However for the price range of the food it was really not much better than an average steak house. Their prices are extremely high in relationship to the quality of the food. Better to go to Metropolitan Grill.
The salads were ok, the steak good, the onion soup marginal, and the desserts below average. Much better desserts and salads at Chinooks.
Great view, nice ambiance but you can see why the restaurant is not full and is easy to get reservations. They need to either bring down their prices or significantly bring up the quality of the food
And when yelp states Daniels price range is $31-$50 that is highly misleading. The salads are $14, the steaks are $80, and the sides are $10 so an average dinner would run over $100 without dessert or drinks. Add in the $8 valet which is the only way you can park there and it is a significant amount of money which should represent an over the top fabulous meal.

On par with other Seattle Steak restaurants like El Guacho but service is sub par as had to wait 15 minutes after salad for steak. And then the server requested that I leave an extra tip before the 20%!!!! Excuse me?

Do not appreciate being asked to cut steak and check if cooked correctly immediately after it is brought to table. My husband and I have dined at many fine steak houses. First time being asked to cut steak and check it. Tacky.
