When I made my reservation we had asked for table with a view as it was a special occasion and we had guests from out of town, family we had not seen in two years. Sadly from our table we had no view. Service was overall good but for some reason our waiter gave everyone bread but us. We had to ask for it, which frustrated my father in law.
We had our 47th Wedding Anniversary dinner at Daniel's, a tradition we have had for many years. While we think they had a bit of a rocky opening, foodwise, a few months back, the restaurant is back at the top of its game! Our server, Ellen, was terrific, as well!

Food was really good but our bacon wrapped scallops was burnt tasting. I do not recommend that. We ask for a view of Seattle a month early but we didn’t get good seating. A little disappointed but try not to let it ruin our dinner.

Our dinner reservation for 6 people was at 8:30 on Friday. We were not seated promptly at 8:30 but had to wait 15 to 20 minutes later. They gave us a private room because the table before us wasn’t done yet. Which was cool, however, we didn’t know the kitchen closes at 9pm so when we were finally seated we had about 5 minutes to look over the menu and put in our food order before 9. The service was good. The food was ok. We didn’t think they would close the kitchen that early on a Friday, I wouldn’t had made reservations so close to their closing time. Just disappointed we did not get seated at our reservation time and we felt rushed to order.

Prices certainly have gone up but other than that it was a great meal! Date night with the girlfriend and would call it a success. Service was great, promptly seated and our food was cooked perfectly. Would recommend

Took a couple out for an appreciation dinner. This place was perfect. The food was a 10, drinks a 10, staff a 10 and atmosphere a 10! Definitely an experience not just a place for dinner.

First time since COVID started last year. We had filet mignon and salmon and they were both great! We missed the onion soup and the oysters that were not listed on the menu anymore. Service was a bit too rushed.

The food was great. We had a filet mignon, lobster tail and a chicken with a side of brussel sprouts and asparagus. The baked potato was dry and rather tasteless, so I'd suggest taking their mashed potatoes instead. The buns they served before we got our meals were warm but tasted also a bit old. Still pretty good, though.
What I definitely didn't like about the restaurant and the reason why I would advise against visiting it, is the fact they automatically charge a 20% tip. I find that highly unprofessional/inappropriate.
Wife and I sat in the dining room to celebrate our wedding anniversary! Ivan our waiter was outstanding! The food was incredible, very tasty Filet Mignon and highly recommend the bacon wrapped scallops! Perfection, we will be going back again soon hopefully!

Totally not worth the money! It’s a very traditional steak house without any imagination. The food was mediocre, the prices inflated. We went to celebrate my son’s graduation but I would not return for any other celebrations. Once and done.

The waiting to get to a table was behind 20 mins the reservation time. Others folks got seated who walked in after us. Not impressed and there were no updates provided by the hostess. I was made to feel like my business was not valued. Plus, why are they forcing masks if there is proof of vaccinations. This is the only place I’ve been to in 3 weeks still requiring masks. setting great, service great, steak was terrible... Not sure how I feel about restaurant owners automatic 20% service and telling you a tip was "not expected". Server are now working fro commission based on what they sell vs a tip for quality of service. I was left feeling like it was a 20% price increase

We visited Daniel’s for my birthday and while the food was tasty enough, the lackluster service left a bad taste in our mouths. I try to give people the benefit of the doubt - maybe it had been a rough day personally for our server - but we felt very much like they’d rather we not be there. The one or two times the server checked in it was to clear plates we’d barely finished (appetizers) only to leave a lull during dinner where our water sat empty. Strange. A lot of Yelp reviewers mention the obligatory 20% service fee and while Daniel’s is not the only steakhouse using this policy, this was a time it felt a bit cringy to leave even that much. Not sure we will return, especially since there are several steakhouses in downtown Bellevue.

We were here for our anniversary dinner. Server Kathy was polite but not super welcoming or cordial. Husband and I both ordered medium bone out ribeyes with lobster tails. Steak and lobster were fantastic. Also had the lobster bisque, that was tasty too. Ordered Brussel sprouts as a side. They were a little overdone, but still good. Sat by the window—they have nice views of the city and the lake. When our server coursed out after the main dish, she did not ask if we wanted dessert but just gave us the dessert menu. We were stuffed, so we passed on the dessert. They gave us a couple macaroons to take home. Overall, okay experience. Just wish service was better for a special celebration and the price. For this reason, I would go back to the Lake Union location but not this one.

We always enjoy our meals at Daniels and our server was very good, we had a very nice meal. The menu is still limited so some items are missing. They are using the banquet rooms to serve dinner due to the extra spacing requirements which is smart but the rooms don’t have the same atmosphere as the main ding room, outside dining would have been the best choice. The prices have all been increased and there is an additional 20% surcharge which I understand but it is significantly more expensive than it was 18 months ago.

Service was very good. Views were great. Even though though there were still constraints on maximum occupancy, it was noisy. The quality of the food did not correspond to the exceptionally high cost. I won't be going back.

We ate off their plant-based menu. It was very good but they brought our entrees one minute after our salads. We felt like they were trying to rush and turn over tables as we heard the table next to us talking about the same thing happening to them. However, overall it was a great experience. I will be back with my non vegan friends. It is so nice to have an option to eat somewhere with vegan and non vegan menus.

Our waiter was too busy dealing with a large and very noisy party. Dreadful service therefore. Baked potato arrived without toppings and was undercooked. No one came back to us to offer any condiments, drinks etc. Bad experience for such a pricey restaurant

The food and service are always very good at Daniels. We were celebrating our anniversary and they seated us in a large banquet room which was quiet for most our dinner since we were the only people in the room. I am sure they use that to space their tables during Phase III. We didn't have the ambiance but we were fine to be together. Again the service was great.
The only problem we had was that the restaurant adds a 20% tip to the total bill, which the customer pays the tax on since it is part of the total bill. So our $50 dollar tip was really $55 based on the almost 10% tax rate. We typically pay 20% or more but it just doesn't seem like the right thing to do.
I would have to imagine with more expensive bills this has to be noticed.

We were so disappointed with our visit to Daniel's after more than a year. We were anxious for a great dining experience and it fell short. Nothing was bad and a few things, like the popcorn shrimp appetizer and the cookie dessert, were very good. The salmon was cooked perfectly, but seemed too drenched in butter. The steak was fine, not great. Most places overcook the asparagus but it was too crunchy here. Overall, it was a good meal, good service and a nice atmosphere, but we were looking for the excellent food and service we expect here and at this price point. The 20% service charge is a very awkward idea. (Even the tax had a service charge.) Our server reminded us of the charge and let us know that the server receives 8% of that. The menu says a "gratuity is not expected and purely optional." It just left us feeling uncomfortable and put off by the whole experience.
Update: I immediately sent the requested contact info 2 weeks ago and had no contact from Daniel’s. This just confirmed to us that this isn’t the place we used to enjoy so much.

I’m new to Bellevue (Cali girl whose go-to is Mastros) but DB’s has taken the top spot for my favorite all time steak and restaurant. Whenever I have guests I only bring them to DB’s. The food is amazing and the consistency always has me coming back for more! The piedmontese is my go-to and I never leave without the almond fudge Sunday. We had Ivan last night but every time I’m there the service is phenomenal! Very rarely do restaurants have all 5: food, drinks, service, ambience and quality - DB consistently executes on all 5! I love this place!
