Daniel's Broiler - Bellevue Ratings and Reviews
Unfortunately I pre ordered (one day in advance) 2 Prime Rib Dinners (Rare) but received one dinner perfectly rare and the other dinner well done. I was told that because it was the end of the day we got what was left that included an end cut which was very dry. We had reservations for 7:30 which to me is a normal date dinner time.
The Server Jennifer was appologetic and removed the charge for the overcooked dinner. My date and I shared her meat portion.
Jennifer said that to get rare prime rib we would need to be there by no later than 6:30 P.M. She gave us a desert to compensate for the cooking error.
It was a somewhat poor experience. I have been dinning at Daniel's for several years (Leschi) but had been told that the Leschi location no longer had Prime Rib and that we needed to go to a different site. I'm surprized that there is no mention on your web site of the need to eat by 6:30 for rare Prime Rib. It would have been helpful.

We hadn't been to Daniel's in a while but our son wanted to celebrate his 40th birthday there. I was in a wheelchair due to an injury and they were incredibly accommodating. The food, service and ambiance was superb. The steaks, as well as, the accompaniments were cooked to perfection. Several of us got the lobster macaroni and cheese as a side dish and were quite surprised by what we received. We were expecting little chunks of lobster in the dish but instead received a small lobster tail, buttery and tender sitting right on top. We'll definitely be returning!
Great service. Drinks, wine, and side dishes were very good. Order a prime cut rib eye. The steak was so tough and full of gristle the I could eat it. I can’t explain why I did not send it back, I guess we were having a good time and I didn’t want to complain . This is actually the second time this has happened at this location. After tip, the cost of the meal for two was well over $400 which did include a nice bottle of wine. My wife and I have decided we will not be going back.
Overall we had a good experience. The service was impeccable and the steaks and apps were great. The sides however were another story. The crab leg was way over cooked and rubbery and the lobster mash was somehow greasy and with out flavor. We were also confused a bit by the menu. It indicated on the menu that the sides were for two or more so we assumed that they would come separate so we could both share. However when they arrived they were on our individual plates in portions that would not feed two or more.
My only complaint was that my wife and daughter ordered the same steak cooked to the same temperature, and my wife's steak was cooked properly but my daughters steak was overcooked and had to be redone-twice, which was frustrating. This was on New Years Eve at 10 PM and the restaurant was very busy. My wife and I were finishing our dinner as my daughter was just starting to eating the third steak which had been cooked they way she wanted it.
My wife and I had a few drinks that night and my daughter and wife had split a salad as well. So when it was time to pay the bill our wonderful server informed us their manager had taken care of the bill for us and we owed nothing. Needless to say we left a very nice tip for her as the bill could not have been cheap. Although evening was not perfect and somewhat frustrating, we were all taken back when we were told our bill was zero! Thanks Daniels Broiler for doing the right thing. I love that place.
I had guests from out of town and wanted somewhere special to go on New Year’s Eve. I got a reservation a month before and and got the time I wanted. We arrived at the restaurant and had a short wait for our table, which is to be expected when they are full. We were taken to a wonderful table with a westerly view. Our server was awesome, our food incredible, and it was just an incredible evening. Strongly recommend Daniels, for any type of meal.
Daniel's used to be one of my favorite restaurants, but I found that during my latest visit, that I didn't get the same value as I used to. Looks like the prices have gone up significantly in the last few years and although the quality of the food is excellent, I'm not appreciating it due to the higher prices.
There are other good restaurants that give me a higher satisfaction for more reasonable prices that I'll be looking to frequent next time we have occasion to.
I was actually a little disappointed with my experience. The meal was ok but for the price, it wasn’t that special. To booth we had was in poor condition with the vinyl on the seats being ripped and poking my leg. I was surprised at the poor quality at what is otherwise a nice ambiance. For similar price point I’d consider other local establishments.
This place seems to rely on being the only ‘view’ game in town. And it’s pretty if you can get a table with a window. Prices are above NY prices so it seems to me it’s perfect for business dinners when no one cares because they are expensing the meal. If you work at Microsoft you can probably afford it!
I have been celebrating special occasions at Daniels for the past 15 years. I have always had a great experience, and the food (especially the steak) has always been amazing. However, this will be my first ever negative comment: I had a reservation for 8:00PM. I arrived 15 minutes early. I was not seated until 8:30PM. I am not happy about this. Waiting 30 minutes past ones reservation time is Not acceptable. If this had not been such a special occasion, I would have walked out and left.
We have gone here for years. This year for Christmas Eve dinner with our grown children. We made the reservation months ago, still were seated a half hour late. After being in business for 50+ years you would think they could calculate table turns accurately. My husband New York can over done and under sized so we all ate while he watched and waited and waited. For his trouble they charged him full price for his steak and gave us a free desert funny as our daughter is a type 1 diabetic. Probably the last time we will go for a $550 dinner for four here. Sad to see a icon disappoint after all these years.
This was our annual Christmas Eve dinner at Daniel's BV. We shared the salad and a large filet, with baked potatoes for each of us. Sat in the Prime 21 Lounge and there were only a few folks and then just us at table! Thoroughly enjoyed chatting with the waitress and bartender.
The steak was a disappointment, first time in many years of dining there. The outside was charred to the point of burned. Inside fine, but definitely not as tender as we are used to.
We were a table of five and were seated in the hallway between the two dining rooms. I understand it's a busy time during the holidays, but it was a chilly location and very noisy so close to the wait service stations, plus quite a tight squeeze for the server to get to the neighboring table and everyone walking by to be seated. My mother-in-law was pretty much seated in the traffic pattern and couldn't hear the table conversation. I had made the reservation quite a bit in advance (maybe four weeks?) and would hope that by doing so we could reserve a decent table. I was very disappointed. We had gathered together to celebrate my husband's 60th birthday -- definitely not the ambiance I was hoping for.
We went to Daniel’s Broiler in Bellevue with our friends to celebrate both our husbands December birthdays. The food was very good, I appreciate being able to split a dinner. My husband and I split the steak and lobster dinner and a salad. It was plenty of food for both of us. Our server was attentive without being intrusive. It was a great birthday celebration for our two husbands birthdays which are on the 20th and 23 of December.
We were there to celebrate my husband and son’s birthdays. Unfortunately my husbands steak was way over cooked. They forgot one of our sides but still billed us for it (they took it off when we pointed it out). It took a while to get a new steak even though he ordered it medium rare. We were all done eating by the time it came out. All the sides were cold by that point and they didn’t offer to bring fresh new ones and they still billed us for the steak. For a $600 dinner it was disappointing.
We couldn't have been more pleased with Daniel's. The hostess greeted us promptly and seated us early even though our reservation was an hour away. The setting was exquisite, with a spacious view of Bellevue Square in the foreground, Lake Washington glowing in the twilight, and the lights of Seattle in the distance. The service couldn't have been any better and the food...it was truly amazing. This was our first time to Daniel's, but it certainly will not be the last. Thank you for such a superb dining experience. Probably the best in a lifetime for us!
