   Let's be clear; the Danieli is a Venetian institution, and has a remarkable architecture to match its grande dame of the Lido credentials. But it should not attempt to abuse its history or location with unadventurous, over-priced food in a poorly designed room crammed into a converted roofspace, and possessed of a non-existent atmosphere. The Danieli Bistro should be avoided - by everyone, and anyone (like myself) beguiled by the reputation of the hotel into believing their food would be memorable (in the right way). Portions were insultingly small, although would have been welcome as bar snacks to accompany a beer or glass of wine; over-solicitous service insisted on asking how everything was when the most inexperienced food critic would have known that they were being deceived. An average wine poured further scorn on the customer, So then a very disappointing experience, and one the hotel might do well to reflect on. I left without giving a tip; something I never do. Others may feel differently, but for anyone who expects the best of food, drink, service, and atmosphere in one of Venice's landmarks - starve this place of your custom, and find somewhere on the backstreets that will treat you right.

   The view was beautiful and the accommodated the kids special requests and the food was delicious.

   Lovely food, lovely waitress. Excellent experience on our last night in Venice staying at the Danieli. Views were great but pity they were only visible to a few tables.

   Wonderful friendly staff. Chef came over to say hi. The sommelier from the hotel main restaurant came over to assist with a special wine request. Food is fun and fresh. Windows overlooked the main lagoon and adjacent island.

   Very good location with very nice view. The cichetti were excellent. The Octopus and the Prawns were fantastic.

   This was a lovely birthday treat in a beautiful hotel,the food was excellent and the service was good while being very tentative to ensure everything was fine with our meal, also adding a special touch after dessert with a small birthday cake and candle. Would definitely recommend.

    A special taster menu with accompanied wine from Toni Bigai’s vineyard. Toni and his assistants were on hand to discuss the wines and tasting notes. The food at the bistro Danielli was outstanding, very creative and an absolute joy to eat.
