Our favorite place for fine dining in Manhattan. Daniel is an absolute classic. Save it for a special occasion and eat in the salon, where things are a bit more laid back.
Un lugar único, donde cada detalle esta cuidadosamente pensado. Hay un trabajo superlativo en cada plato, que lo convierte en una experiencia inigualable!
Amazing food, amazing staff !
Thank you for this incredible night.
Just superb, start to finish.
Just amazing - Best anniversary email I could ask for.
excellent service, excellent food, excellent cocktails
What else ?
21st anniversary. Superb in every respect!
Nice place, food was good, portions small little too expensive. However the staff and service were excellent.
Charming welcome followed by knowledgeable and skilled service and overall warm hospitality.
Decor is muted elegance highlighted by tasteful art, floral displays, impeccable crystal and china, etc. Food is creative, idiosyncratic, often lush and savory without going to extremes. Portions are sized so that it is possible to complete the four-course menu and feel satisfied, while making the seven-course menu a perfectly reasonable choice for diners with a heartier appetite. Presentation of each dish delivers a visual delight that is photo-worthy. The sommelier was extremely helpful and knowledgeable, and made a substantial contribution to our enjoyment. This restaurant will reward repeat visits.
Great food, wonderful service, memorable experience!!
One of the most over-rated restaurants in NYC. Almost everything was over-the-top. The Chef tried too hard to be creative and just plain missed the mark on too many of the combinations. Even though most of the courses were disappointing, the $151 for a fixe price dinner was to be expected at a restaurant with such a vaulted reputation . . . But $13 dollars for a cup of watered-down mediocre coffee was the final straw. There are just too many great restaurants in NYC at all price points to waste a meal at Restaurant Daniel.
We dined at Daniel on Saturday night to celebrate our anniversary. Wow! This is a very elegant and special restaurant. We have eaten in the Lounge recently but it's been a while since we've eaten in the dining room. Everything during our lovely evening was perfect or nearly so. We particularly enjoyed the wine pairings with our tasting menu, which were expertly planned by the very knowledgeable sommelier. I highly recommend Daniel, especially for special occasions. It was a really lovely evening.
The servers made a great effort by translating the menu in Spanish, we really appreciated it!!!
You hear the hype for a restaurant and then go to have a meal and get disappointed. Daniel is the exception to this rule completely living up to the expectations. We had the chef's seven course tasting menu, enjoying dishes like Abalone which I normally dislike. All the tastes were excellent! I think next time we will go with the normal prix fix menu to enjoy a larger taste of selected dishes as the tasting menu sometimes left you wanting a bit more. However at the end of the meal, we were completely satisfied.
Very good NYC restaurant possibly one of the best. Very good service, elegant ambiance not loud. Prix fix menu was tasty, well balanced. Amuse bouche were exceptionally tasty. Wine list although extremely rich is French oriented and generally expensive which is the only down side of this restaurant. Service was very good
Amazing food & service
We went for our 2nd anniversary. It was wonderful. The food, cocktails, and wine were amazing. They also gave us personalized menus with “Happy 2nd Anniversary” on the first page which was very nice. Definitely want to go back sometime.
Very high end service and selection, an orchestrated teamwork of service, this was a memory-building occasion for my friends. Each menu item was explained with great precision and care, and as small as the servings 'look', a four course meal does fill you up!
The ambiance and service is great in Daniel and food is standard to me as a Michelin star restaurant
We went to Daniel for my father's birthday and it was absolutely wonderful. The atmosphere was lovely and the service was excellent. There were many extra items throughout the meal that really made an already wonderful meal even better. The presentation of each dish was so artistic. If you're really looking for a fun experience order the foie gras!
our group had a very good time, first time diners were really impressed. the service was brilliant and the food was very good. between the 6 of us there were a few dishes that our group didnt love, but that didnt detract from the evening at all. i am looking forward to going back, this place is really good for a special occasion.
From the first course to the last, our experience at Daniel was nothing short of perfect. Daniel was even gracious enough to come to our table and welcome us.
Got to meet Monsieur Bolud himself!! An honor and a pleasure!
My 8th time
Food was very good .. not great
I agree w him remaining a Michelin 2 star
This is always a go to place for my husband and I. Superb food and service.
It was a great experience
Amazing experience. Food is top notch and service is remarkable. Would love to meet the chef next time.
Thinking about doing my fathers 70th birthday here.
We went to celebrate our 51st anniversary, and although we had not been to Daniel for a few years, we found it to be at the same standard of excellence. The room is lovely, the service is exceptional and the food beautifully presented and delicious. We had the three course tasting menu plus dessert. So many little extras were included that it seemed to be much more than three courses! The price was very fair-surprisingly so. We won’t wait as long to return.
Food very good but with two people we were there for about two and a half hours. Very slow albeit very good food
This is a repeat visit at Daniel with the same results: fabulous food, served with great attention to detail and immaculate service, in a perfect setting that suits all kinds of occasions. BRAVO Daniel, for a continued level of the highest standards.
Top of the top. Give it back its 3rd Michelin star, fully deserved.
kind of disappointed overall.
This was such an amazing meal and experience. It’s of course on the more expensive side but worth every penny.
Friendly and attentive service. Food was innovative and delicious and wine pairing was perfect. The attention to detail is impressive and we also enjoyed the opportunity to see the kitchen and the staff at work.
Everything was fabulous. Will definitely go back again
Best dinner EVER! What a beautiful room! The service was exquisite and the food was out of this world. Simply incredible!!
Excellent dining experience! This was my second time here, and I hope to return every time I visit NY.
