The meal was exquisite from the presentation to the taste. One of the best meals that I have every had. I can't wait for my next visit. We had the four course Prix Fix. There were more options that I wish we could have sampled. The service was extraordinary - we never seemed to wait for anything.

Daniel is a beautiful restaurant. If you are looking for an elegant dinner with French cuisine this is the place. The food is exquisitely prepared (and delicious!) and the service is first class. Every single little detail is taken care of. The menu consists of either a 4 or 7 course meal. My daughter is a vegetarian and she had a full bevy of options as well. The wine list as you might expect is extensive. But there are options in every price range. The Sommelier was very helpful in steering us to a bottle of champagne that fit our price range and was something new I had not tried before. It was delicious!

Having eaten at the top Michelin restaurants around the world I fully expected world class food and service with all the buzz around this place. We had the 7 course tasting menu with a couple drinks and spent $800 for 2 people. They put a lot of care into the presentation but the overall small portions, which are not uncommon except for these are even smaller, along with outdated and odd flavor combinations made the food slightly above average but definately not breathtakingly amazing. Couple all that with a 15 to 30 minutes waiting between many courses mades it painfully unpleasant experience. I understand the NYC royalty class like to be seen here so maybe that is why the priceses are as much as they are. It certainly can't be because of the food and service quality. Save your hard earned money is my bottom line.

Just OK. Our third time there in the past 7 years. Food was just plain mediocre. The routine must be getting stale!

We enjoyed our dinner. A few of the dishes were not as good as others, the poularde and the maquereau were just ok. The presentation was wonderful but disappointing in taste. The remainder of the dishes in the tasting menu were excellent. Again a great birthday dinner.
Service was excellent, as always. Staff is extremely attentive and do a wonderful job.

Amazing food and experience. The service was great. I can’t think of anything I can complain about. They made my boyfriend’s birthday special and gave it a personal touch.

The food was very good,
But service has changed, was much better,
1)Not giving a new glass when you open a new bottle of wine,
2)Not folding napkin when you leave the table,
3)Not waiting till all parties are at the table to serve Food,
4)Not serving wine when your glass was empty,

Meet Mr. Boulud at the front desk. Chose the tasting menu. The pairing wines were little bit lower than the food. The entree waited for too long time. Quite a good business.

My husband took me to Daniel to celebrate my 60th birthday. It was a great experience. We were seated right away and the cocktails were delicious. We had the seven course tasting menu and all the dishes were delicious and well presented. Our server Jorge was friendly and knowledgeable about what was being served. He was outstanding and made us feel very welcome. It is expensive but worth every penny. We highly recommend it. I’m looking forward to eating there again in July for my husband’s birthday.

Daniel was more than a meal - it was an experience. From the moment you enter and your purse is put on a little pillow, it gets better and better. The wait staff is impeccable. They helped us navigate the menu and wine list without making us feel like idiots. And the food was as delicious as it was gorgeous. In a time when most restaurants are crowded, noisy and have waiters that seem annoyed at your very presence, this was a real treat. Expensive - of course. But every now and then you deserve to be treated like royalty. Thank you Monsieur Boulud!

The service and the ambiance was outstanding. Only a few issues. There just wasn’t enough food served. We almost left hungry. We ordered a six piece cheese plate which helped us fill up at the very end. A suggestion would be to serve two pieces of meat instead of one. The pieces were approx 1 1/2”. I understand it was a tasting menu. At the very end I tried hard to make paying the bill seamless. I filled out the form for my credit card a head of time so that no bill would come to the table. It was extremely and I mean extremely embarrassing when the restaurant called while I was in the cab in front of my guest to say my credit card declined. I called the credit company (MasterCard) only to find out that they never had a charge attempt on the card. 10 minutes later I found out Daniel terminal wasn’t working properly and they finally processed the charge correctly. At that time I was no longer with my guest and the damage was done. I did not feel the experience was worth it.

The food was unbelievable especially the Foie Gras. My wife and I ordered the 4 course dinner with the sommelier wine pairing. My wife felt it was sophisticated, as did I and she also felt it was a little loud, although that wasn't a problem. Although the meal was outstanding I believe at that price point there were some areas that could have been better. First, we were celebrating out 17th wedding anniversary and the table we were given was maybe the worst in the room. I asked for a different table and was given a much better table, one where we could look out over the whole room. I shouldn't have had to ask. Second, it was my sense that other tables in our area were receiving more attention than us. It appeared that those tables had ordered some very fine wine and were being fussed over. Third, our wine pairing hit the mark but I felt the pours were very lite. For the sommelier pairing I felt we should have had more to drink and we are not big drinkers. Fourth, when it came time for dessert, we were asked what we would like but weren't quite ready at that time. It took a good 15 minutes to come back and ask us what we would like to order., long enough that my wife commented that, "I'm ready for dessert". Dessert was great and they added something for our anniversary which was much appreciated. Overall the meal was outstanding and I recommend that anyone who can afford to dine go and enjoy.

Atmosphere without peer. Exemplary service it is truly the embodiment of benchmarking. Loved our visit again. Over the top prices are justified for the rarified experience of creative courses, five star attention, all down to the homemade bread and handmade butter flown in from Paris. Dinner here solely of bread and butter would have been perfection.

This is as good as it gets! Incredible food with wine pairings and perfect service on our anniversary. Providing a beautiful personal print out of all of our selections at the end of the meal exceeded expectations. Yes, it’s pricey, but compared to a couple of overpriced Broadway show tickets makes it an entertainment value for an evening

This was an outstanding dining experience and kudos to the staff , chefs, and management for making my daughter's birthday dinner an event to remember. This was our third time at Daniel. We knew generally what to expect. However, after a horrible experience at another Michelin starred restaurant the day before, I was hoping Daniel still retained its glory. It absolutely did! The restaurant is beautiful. Service was professional and attentive. The food was sublime. Drinks were excellent and we splurged on a good bottle of wine to complement the meal. The highlight of the evening was when the manager offered to take us back to the kitchen to meet the chefs and have our pictures taken with them. What an unexpected treat.
We have eaten in many highly rated restaurants over the years. Daniel retains its glory and I hope to regains its third Michelin star soon. It deserves it!
