Imaginative and delicious!
We enjoyed the restaurant, having gone there pre-theater. It's down the street from Seattle Center.
The food had a Mediterranean-Spanish flavor. Everything we ordered was inspired and interesting.
My bourbon shrub cocktail was herbaceous and fabulous. Staff couldn't have been nicer and knowledgeable about the entire menu. I recommend this casual little gem.
New favorite pre-show spot in Uptown! Clever and delicious food, stellar drinks, pretty spot, fun staff!
Food was tasty but service was spotty. Drinks came after the food arrived, one drink never came and we changed it to wine to speed up the process. Several service requests did not come through. I felt like they were short-staffed, even at the early hour of 5:30.
The waiter didn’t come get our drink orders for 15 minutes after we got seated.
Delicious food, charming service, absolutely horrible ambiance. Would not consider returning to an establishment so loud (both blaring music and screaming patrons trying to be heard) that it is impossible to converse over one’s meal.
The cocktails, food, and service were all outstanding. Will definitely recommend and go again.
One of the new best spots for tapas in Seattle!
The service was genuine and attentive. Food options are phenomenal. Noise level is loud enough that you don’t have to worry about your conversation being heard but quiet enough that there’s no need to shout. Great date spot. Really liked that they cookied in the open and the place would light up with flames.
Everything was delicious and so fun to share! Service was exceptional. Our new favorite Seattle restaurant!
Extremely slow service. They picked it up once we complained but really?
This place has it all....creative and delicious food that is beautifully presented; small and pretty interior; and the best service I've had in Seattle in a long, long time. I cannot wait to go back.
First time there -- awesome new Queen Anne spot. Will be back. Thanks guys!
My husband and I were not very hungry so each of us ordered 2 tapas.
They were all good.
The Brussel Sprouts were excellent.
We plan to go back.
Delightful food. Stellar for vegetarians, g-f eaters, vegans, omnivores. Great service. Unpretentious place. I recommend happy hour, when you can get some regular-menu items at a lower cost.
Food was really good but the service was poor. Called to make reservations and after 3 tries I finally got through but was rudely told to use open table. No where on the website did it say use the app.
The food and service was excellent. I especially liked the mussels. The only downside was the bar seating. The stools were way to low and my date, who is not a short woman felt like her plate was almost face high. This is something Managment needs to correct.
Otherwise, staff was great and food was excellent.
Came from NYC to travel.Food was awesome for the price but service was very poor.
We had several "small plates," of creative (but not crazy overly creative) dishes. The delicious flavors were a real stand-out from other restaurants. The flavor combinations were genius! If we'd been in town longer, we would have eaten there again!
Good stop before a movie. A friend and I needed a quick bite before a movie at the Uptown. Dandylion may have solved the problem of where to get a good and quick bite made with seasonal ingredients before a movie. We enjoyed the vegetarian options and look forward to trying it again.
Seated 30+ minutes after reservation time with no apology and serious bad attitude from host. Waiter needed hospitality training. Food was good but worst service I’ve received from the 100+ restaurants I’ve tried this year. Complete hospitality fail.
Terrible in every way except cool space. Made a reservation and table was not available on time. After seated it took a zillion years to place drink order. We quickly made a decision on our food to order because we figured if it took that long to be seated and order a drink it would take longer for food. Host and server were very dry bordering on rude. After dinner friend went to put a present in the car and grab a coffee for a pick me up before a concert. The host had the guts to tell him no outside drinks were allowed as we were desperately trying to get the bill! Wtf. We ordered food. We ordered drinks. They were slow and rude. This restaurant sucks and would never make it in a neighborhood that has any thing going on.
Everything is good, especially the food! But it was way too noisy; I couldn’t even hear what I said and had to shout to our friends sitting across!
This was a late find while in town for work and what a great find it was! The ambiance is warm and inviting and we had a group of 6 at a nice communal style table. The service was great...friendly, helpful, attentive, and never felt like we were a waste of their time. The food was outstanding...really great shared plates with wonderful flavors and styles. Whether you like vegetables or heavy meats they had something for everyone. Also, the ice creams were DYNAMITE! The Lemon ice cream is not to be missed. Really enjoyed our experience here.
Came here on a Saturday night for a double date with friends. This restaurant would get my sign off as a neighborhood gem if it would not have been for the terrible service. The food was tasty and the tapas were good for sharing. 1) the server was pushy, suggesting that we should just “order everything on the menu”. We ordered and shared a bottle of wine and the server tried to push us (multiple times to purchase another bottle.
2) When the check came, there was an issue with the point of sale system. We handed the waiter our cards and waited for around 20min until the waiter came back and informed us of the issue. He then said they couldn’t accept credit cards and that we would need to LEAVE THE RESTAURANT to get cash from an ATM nearby. This killed it for us.
cute spot, good for a date. Ultimately though, the food and prices just weren't in line and nothing we ate was great so we likely wouldn't go back soon.
Still worth trying for a date spot, especially for a drink, but I wouldn't go out of my way to recommend.
Food was amazing. Highly recommend the lemon ice cream!
The food was yummy and all- in- all this was a good experience. Not as amazing as we saw online reviews seem to reflect, but still good. The bartender was disarmingly funny. The waiter we had was odd and at one point said, “I hope this will be enough food” with an awkward smile. Either a weird stab at humor or some passive- aggressive subtext that we were being gluttons? Either way, kind of a counterintuitive thing to say for someone who would theoretically want you to order as much as you want! The only true disappointments were the desserts.
It seemed like Dandyion has good potential but operations are still a bit rough. Service was very slow & spotty: there was only one server + a bartender, which can work fine in such a small space, but (coming from my perspective as a restaurant server) staff wasn't sufficiently efficient, capable, or knowledgeable. Food was pretty good, ambiance/decor was great, but the service really took away from the overall experience. I might try coming back in 6mo-1yr!
Overall, I am sorry to say that I was disappointed by the food and service here. The tapas are expensive for the quality of food that you get. We ordered about 5 tapas, and they ranged from mediocre to forgettable. The service was not stellar, the waiter seemed annoyed that we were not ready to order immediately even though the restaurant was at half capacity.
We went for an anniversary dinner. The food was amazing, we loved it. The atmosphere is nice, although a little on the noisy side. The service was kind of slow, which made us a little nervous that we would miss our show after. But we got there right at the end of happy hour, so it seemed like there was a huge rush on orders just as we got there. After the kitchen got caught up the service picked up again. Overall we had a great meal and would definitely go back.
If you're a 21 and only bar, say so on OpenTable. Don't lure families out and reject them at the door.
