   The food was slightly off from the past few times that we had been going there. They used to offer a salt and pepper fried rice which was amazing and then you could add a protein but they seem to have removed that from the menu. I asked the waiter and he said you could do the vegetable fried rice and then add a protein but that isn’t what I wanted. Anyway, the last thing that bothered me was a 5% wellness charge! I had to look this up because it is actually the restaurant adding this charge as optional…you can ask to take it off…but it is for the staff to have health benefits. Like this isn’t the consumers responsibility…DanDan should be paying this for their staff if they want to offer it. You don’t out this on the consumer…not sure I will be going back. Overall, just uncomfortable.

   Outstanding restaurant - from food to service to value. While DanDan has been around for nearly a decade, I have overlooked how inspiring Chinese-American cooking in Milwaukee could be. Loved the shareable aspect of this place. Started our dinner when our server brought out the delicious mungbean kimchee pancake and short rib / foie gras potstickers. Loved them both. DanDan noodles were wonderful with their peanut-forward flavor. Enjoyed the rice cakes and pork belly with more spicy kimchee. Shared the Mongolian beef with its deliciously stir-fried bell peppers. DanDan has a wonderful cocktail menu and mango crème brûlée. Only wished we lived nearby to have this as our goto carry out place for Chinese-American food.

   Fantastic dining experience. Everything we tried was delicious. Smashed cucumber salad, spicy shrimp, orange chicken, fried rice, mushroom dish, sake and mocktails all hit the spot. Great ambiance and service. Wonderful overall experience.

   Our first time to DanDan and we will definitely be returning. Server was extremely knowledgeable and accommodating providing a special Gluten Free menu for myself and daughter.

   Fabulous food! Service was great! I have Celiac disease and they had a separate menu specifically for those with Celiac. I appreciated the time the server took to understand my order and the food was brought out with perfect timing. The only thing would would’ve changed was a bigger table as most of the dishes are shareable. Great atmosphere. Everyone was friendly and energetic! Definitely our new go to restaurant :)

   Great food, great service!! Smash Cucumbers are a must….yum! Never had a dish I did not enjoy. Thank you Dan Dan for always being delicious, and consistent.

   The event was fantastic. The presentation and selection of dishes was amazing. I was so glad to see the chefs from Top Chef Wisconsin were in attendance to support Dan and the cause.

   Dim Sum Give Some was fantastic, it was my first time and I could not choose a singular bite that was phenomenal because so many were. I had so much paté in one day... so rich. Truly exceptional, I hope I get to do it again.
