Another great meal. Every plate we ordered was delicious. The “little bit of chicken fried” and fried calamari are both gluten free, which my wife and daughter need due to gluten allergies, are phenomenal. My son and I don’t have to worry about gluten, but we would put these two dishes against any non-gluten version.

The short ribs, skirt steak, oysters we had in our latest dancing marlin meal are all highly recommended.

Great American Tapas - lots of gluten free options, and can also request dairy free if required. Very unique dishes, and everything is cooked to order. Great way to spend a time with friends.

Over priced and over-rated for quality of food. The only thing we ordered that was flavorful was the steak. However, that small portion was more than if we had an entire dinner at Mortons or Sullivans.
I was not impressed.

I love this place! Everything about it is great. Except for the fact that they don’t have changing tables in their bathrooms for people with kids who get a dirty diaper during dinner. We had to leave earlier than we wanted to because they didn’t have changing tables in the bathroom.

Took an 8:30 reservation, didn’t seat us until 8:50 and then told us the kitchen closes at 9:30. It’s a tapas restaurant that’s a pretty quick turn around

We went early for NYE and are frequent diners at Dancin Marlin. They have new items that were excellent and the quality overall is back to how it was the first time we went.

Was hopeful because of reviews seen, but don't share that opinion. Food was not what I would expect at that price. Out of the 7 dishes I tried, only the Ahi Tuna was acceptable. Oh, and the wine was okay. Waitress was informative and attentive. Creme Brulee was awful. Calamari was under cooked. Won't be returning.

This provided a lovely Christmas eve dinner for a family of 5 spanning 3 generations. Even the matriarch in her 90s got into the food sharing fun. The food was excellent, our waitress just delightful but it was a little loud. I would definately come back !

I am a Meat Eater and my wife eats everything so you really can't go by me. I had the Pork Chop and it was OK but I would like to suggest something regarding the pork chop. Stuff it with turkey dressing, the favors are out of this world. I felt the menu favored the sea food lovers. Another suggestion, Sangria, go to Olive Garden and check out their Sangria, and if you like it, get the pitcher. Everyone has their favorite, but their's goes down so easy. Another place to go is Public Landing in Lockport, IL or Hank's Farm near Starved Rock, IL or Patti's Settlement in Kentucky, etc. No Soup?

Our overall experience was good.
This was our first time dining there.
We had no idea from their website that this is a Tapas only menu.
Should share that with diners.

Usually we have an exceptional experience here, but this visit was disappointing. First they subbed a cheaper wine and didn't notify me, or reduce the price -- which I consider quite dishonest. In addition, the fries -- which are usually crispy and amazing -- were soggy and greasy. The mashed potatoes came out cold and we saw them bringing the wrong dishes to tables all around us -- and to us too.

I hope they get this straightened out, because this is usually one of our favorite places.

What an amazing experience at the Dancing Marlin the winter menu was beyond my exceptions. We first started with Pumpkin Shooters and the flavors were just welcoming to the taste buds. Our server Brittany was so attentive and suggested some of the menu items. I knew I wanted to have the beef sliders and would have never thought about Mushroom sliders. I ordered the Mushroom sliders, beef sliders, Beet salad, Pear and walnut salad, all the flavors enhanced each other. I'm not one for flourless chocolate cake and someone in my party suggested this. WOW, this was the best flourless chocolate cake I have ever had. It was delightful and just melted in your mouth. The flavors all came together so nicely. I almost forgot about the drinks, between The Margarita and Wine (Crusher) what can I say but they are always on point. I'm excited to make my next reservation at the Dancing Marlin.

Just a fabulous overall experience. Everyone I bring here loves it; family, business, etc. The food is changed seasonally, but with some amazing options that don't change and never disappoints! I have Celiac's so this is heaven for me to be able to experience. Thank you for the wonderful overall experience.

We have had quite a few meals at Dancing Marlin and been extremely happy with both the food and service on each occasion. This restaurant is not around the corner for us so it does take something special for us to drive this far but every trip has been worth it and we will continue to make it as long as the experience and food remains the same.
