D'amore Winebar & Ristorante
food was good but salty, service was pleasant but VERY slow.
Carbonara to die for. Amazing meal.
Fabulous home cooked Italian food in East Harlem.
We loved the food and the atmosphere of D'Amore. It is small but comfortable. Raffaele, the owner and host, is absolutely charming, making you feel very at home in his restaurant. It is worth the subway ride from midtown to Harlem, in our opinion.
A gem of an Italian restaurant right in Harlem. With personal attention from the proprietor, delicious food in a lovely but casual setting, your evening will be complete!
Food is amazing and terrific value. Go!
The place doesn't look like much from the outside. I went because the reviews were very positive and I have to agree. From the moment we entered until we left, the owner ( I missed his name) was our host, server and entertainer. Great guy! The food was simple ( Southern Italian from the Adriatic coast) and very fresh.
If you are looking for a "wow" experience where the food is the "wow" reason and not the decor, then this place should be on your list of places to go.
I will be back for sure.
The simplest but most flavorful food and very warm and pleasant owner and environment. Mildly rustic interior but I adored everything including the smell of the restaurant when I walked in, the delicious food, the outstanding wine collection, the great music selection, the very clean and nice smelling bathroom at 9 pm, etc. And ironically, I chatted with ppl at another table - it was their first time too and we all agreed we were stunned and would be back soon. I LOVED EVERYTHING!!! (I had a glass of Chianti with Spaghetti Carbonara and my friend had a red with the Linguini and Sausage and we both loved everything).
The owner and the chef are amazing. I am at awe with the respect and charisma of the owner, his staff and the chef. - Elvis S.
I got the lasagna and it was heavenly. My friend got a different pasta dish, which she loved too. Def will recommend stopping by
Raphael, the owner, was really friendly and kind, willing to accommodate us for a veggie option. The food was excellent. And thanks to a normal noise level, we were able to discuss without shouting at each other. I would definitely recommend this fun and lovely place.
Love this Place. Small but comfortable. Food was fantastic. Wine excellent. Please no one come; I want it all to myself.
The food was very good. The owner/host is very nice & did his best to make us feel at home.
It was a nice evening spent with a sweet friend, good conversation, food & wine. Would go there again.
It was superb. Rafa is a gentlemen and the food is absolutely amazing.
Came here for a birthday celebration. Tasty very authentic Italian food! The owner (who I believe is Italian himself0 was very nice in coming to check on our table a couple of times. Only critique is that the place was a little small and we were a little bit cramped in our seating, but the quality and taste of the food really made up for it. Lots of great choices, and no dish was left un-devoured! Highly recommend to anyone who loves Italian food as you will not be disappointed! Wine was good too :)
My partner and I prebooked a table at this restaurant following a recommendation from our landlady while we were staying in New York for New Year. The menu was fixed price and the quality of the food was second to none. The staff were all very helpful and fun, contributing to a relaxed and laidback evening. Fabulous!
Nice spot to relax
Easy reservations online. Good food and wine. Service was attentive and helpful. Owner was funny.
Food was great as well as the food. The server makes you feel at home, we have a pleasant time.
Awesome! Incredible food, very entertaining at the bar!
