    The food and staff are always outstanding at D’Amatos. We only recently discovered D’Amatos during Royal Oak Restaurant Week. But we have returned multiple times even though it is 35-40 minutes from our home. Each time, Marvin has been our server, providing the utmost in kind and professional service. We have now tried a variety of appetizers, main dishes, drinks and desserts-all outstanding with generous portions. In addition to Marvin, we have had the pleasure of speaking with the hostess, manager and the person who took great care in making sure our table was cleared after each course. Every one of them goes out of their way to make sure their customers feel welcomed. Highly recommend.

    With the exception of the trains, the noise level was as typically expected. Food and service was exceptional for our group of six people. Everyone said they look forward to dining here again. Waitress had no issue creating separate checks and processing separate credit cards - we’ve had issues at other restaurants. No order nor billing errors. Food was very tasty and perfect temperature. Love that they have a zucchini noodle for those of us that have to avoid gluten. The salmon was absolutely wonderful on top of the zucchini noodles.

    Everyone in our group enjoyed the food and the service. We went to a concert at the Royal Oak Music Theatre, around the corner. We enjoyed dinner at D'Amato's and a drink at Goodnite Gracie while listening to live jazz before our original show. We will go back again.

    Went early of a Friday. Restaurant was quiet, but we expected that. Had  arancini appetizer. They were over cooked and not very flavorful. Other meal items were Ceasar Salad, Sausage with Peppers and Orion, Minestrone Soup, Cavatappi Pasta and Rigatoni. All just ok. Food was served hot, which is a plus but lacked flavor. No bread included with meal, so we ordered a bread board, again just average. I tried a drink called London Fog, very good. 2 Scotch drinkers, which you can’t mess that up and a glass of wine. Our bill for 4 was $160. Pricing felt reasonable. Overall the service was very good, but food was just ok.

    Marvin is THE BEST and food excellent as always. Being able to then relocate to the bar next door (connected) at Goodnight Gracie’s for jazz was great. A wonderful night out.
