Un lieu de bonheur, de douceur et de dépaysement: une explosion de saveurs toutes en fraîcheur, un service attentionné et chaleureux et un décor soignée et actuel nous transportent au chic Moyen-Orient l’espace d’une soirée!

Leur menu dégustation est à se rouler par terre et que dire du wine pairing, des vins surprenants du début à la fin. Le staff est chaleureux ils connaissent leurs plats bref tout était parfait!

Just amazing! The food, the service, the ambiance... we were in heaven!

C’était la quatrième fois que nous prenions le menu dégustation. Nous adorions ce restaurant. Nous comprenons que ce qui compose le menu peut varier à l’occasion mais là, nous avons été déçus. Le prix du menu dégustation par personne a considérablement augmenté. Nous le savions et nous nous attendions à la même qualité tout au moins ou à quelque chose de supérieur. Ça n’a pas été le cas. C’était bien mais le choix du menu manquait de raffinements. Il n’y avait plus le poisson ni la viande vieillie. Il n’y avait plus toute cette variété dans les saveurs et épices. C’était bon mais ça ne valait pas le prix. Désolés, nous n’y retournerons pas.

The food was exceptional as always. The service was good but seemed a little less intimate than my past experiences at Damas, perhaps because we were seated at the bar. I believe I reserved a table so I was disappointed to be seated at the bar but I understood because of the covid capacity limitations.

Damas always exceeds our expectations. The terrace respects social distancing requirements and has ample heating for the cooler evenings. Service is excellent and the food outstanding!

Damas food & Service is consistently excellent. We have been enjoying this restaurant for several years & have indulged in their tasting menu a couple of time! A lot of delicious flavors.

Usually we order a la carte, fattoush salad is always a must as well as their lamb dishes. They also offer grilled vegetables which pair wonderfully with their mains.

We plan to continue going back gor both the food and excellent service & ambiance.

Very very good but also very expensive

Well this was a 1 1/2 month long waiting period to get a booking at this fine establishment.

At last, we got our day reserved to try. We booked inside seating as weather in September is quite unpredictable but their terrace was marvellous. It was quite nippy tonight but they have these grandiose heaters on each table to keep you warm and forget the weather that's outside. It's super warm surprisingly.

We settled for the inside seating and it was just as wonderful , loved the vibe. As you come in, the kitchen is right near the entrance so you're blasted with all these delicious flavours and scents.

Service: exceptional ! They really cater to all your needs always at our service. The food came out super quickly.. and the waiter Mark is a Gem. He made sure all our requests were answered from start to finish.
I enjoyed having our utensils switched after every meal wonderful service !

Food: To DIEEEE FOR ! I had the Mediterranean Sea Bass and all I can say it was the best fish dish I have had ..in a super long time. The cook was Perfection .. and Screwing up fish is soooo easy to do but this was beyond perfection I was mesmerized.

We had a few side dishes super deelish as well.. their cuisine is super unique as it's authentic Syrian food. Everything we ate here was beyond and whoever is the chef definitely needs to stay.

If you're thinking on coming here I strongly suggest you plan ahead and book a month in advance as it was super difficult to get a reservation before then. They're always fully booked due to maximum capacity with all the covid stuff
Nonetheless, it was quite a surprising treat! Definitely recommend it !

Tasting menu wasn’t what it used to be

Delicious food! Despite the excellent quality, we consider it overpriced. 72$ for a plate of 4 lamb chops and sides. Although fantastic, abundant and delicious, this should have been around 50$

The food was delicious and comforting. Great staff, great decor, great ambiance. We tried the tasting menu and it was worth it !

I’m in the restaurant business myself and I can see there is a lot of time spent behind the preparation of each dish so I guess that explains the price being a bit high.

Anniversaire de 34 ans de mariage. Nous étions 5 adultes. Tout était à souhait, décor, service, repas incroyable. Mais, trop bruyant! On ne pouvait pas entendre la musique. Ça ressemblait à une cafétéria. On ne pouvait pas s’entendre non plus. Il y avait des enfants et bébés debout sur les chaises qui criaient et pleuraient. Il y avait des gens habillés sport gym. Je voulait me sentir dépaysé, mais ça c’est raté. On m’avait dit que c’était class dans ce restaurant. Ça manquait de ce côté. À part ça c’était divin!

Damas is one of our all time favourite places in Montreal. We reserve it for special occasions as it is on the pricier side, but very worth it for the service, ambiance and of course wonderful food! The decor is beautiful inside as well as on the terrace. They were very well prepared to abide by Covid rules. We were sat on the terrace with optimal space between our tables and others. Would recommend a thousand times over.

Cuisine riche en couleur. Menu dégustation végétarien était exquis. Faut arriver l'estomac vide car c'est généreux. Magnifique soirée avec mon conjoint. Le service était impeccable. Dispendieux, mais ça vaut le coup.

Tout était très bien comme à l'habitude.
Aucun problème avec les mesures de distanciation, quasiment comme d'habitude si on oublie le masque des serveuses et serveurs

This restaurant is worth all the hype and a must visit if you’re a true foodie. The service is outstanding, the food exceptional and the soul of the restaurant will have you coming back for more. A last minute trip to Montreal had has snapping up one of the last seats available for the night and sat us at the bar. Although I would normally dislike this, the bartenders made for an engaging and enjoyable atmosphere. Definitely try the cilantro infused cocktail they make, incredibly fresh and delicious! The server recommendations are also great if you are unsure what to have. Can’t wait to return! Keep up the incredible work Damas!
