   Such a lovely place with very friendly staff. The food and drinks were excellent! We loved the ambience and piano music in the background during dinner.

   My best friends and I ate dinner there before going to see Wicked because we wanted Italian and it was close to the Gershwin. BEST CHOICE for dinner during our entire girls trip to NYC! The food was phenomenal, service outstanding and the whole vibe of the restaurant was perfect! The owner and her beautiful niece made a point to check on us and visit with us during dinner. We felt so welcome and we will definitely make visiting DaMarino’s a tradition when we go back to NYC. I would definitely put this on your list of restaurants when you visit NYC!!

   A smaller kitschy nostalgic old style Italian restaurant with lots of star photos on the walls. Service was good in a tightly packed underground space. Food was very good and fresh with good wine. Quick efficient service to get to Theatre on time.

   This was my second time coming. I have read mixed reviews and am not sure why. The restaurant is very busy and crowded on the weekends especially pre-theatre, however, the food is excellent, the service is attentive and interactive. If you are looking for a quiet atmosphere you would be coming to the wrong place. But if you want consistently good food with attentive staff - also live music some evenings - in the heart of the theatre distict, you should try Damarino.

   Ordered the meatballs. They came out cold. They took them away and brought me out a fresh plate. However the rest of the party had finished their meal at that point. Thought the restaurant could have offered something by way of apology. Ambience good. Man played piano while we ate and interacted with us and sang us some songs which was lovely.

   Attended for my birthday dinner on 4/18, hostess gave us the friendliest greeting, entertainment was fun, service was great, and the food was excellent. We loved it!

    The ambiance was lovely. They have a pianist who also sings and really changes the feel of the place. They brought out tiramisu and sang happy birthday to my husband. The food was just ok - not great. I ordered tomato salad and got a very large dish of tomato pieces swimming in vinaigrette. My chicken piccata with penne was good but swimming in sauce.
