Beautiful Modern Mediterranean restaurant by Chefs Laura and Sayat (Star Chefs and San Francisco Chronicle Rising Stars) at the Main Parade Lawn in the heart of the Presidio National Park. The restaurant's menus feature Presidio-inspired seasonal craft cocktails, a progressive wine menu, and a cuisine that balances the comfort of familiar Mediterranean flavors with California sensibilities.

In cohesion with the Presidio National Park, the design features soft, natural colors; repurposed furniture items from the Presidio; and a mural and a hand-drawn wall paper by Bay Area artist Emily Parkinson. Diners can enjoy a patio with a view of Alcatraz; an intimate private dining room; a lofty main dining room surrounded by windows on two sides; a cozy bar that is a local favorite; and an open-concept kitchen counter with counter seats and high tables.

    I order the cop sis skewers. My friend had the Anatonlian Erishte pasta. Both very good to order. The wild pistachio coffee is a must to order to finish off your meal.

    Disappointing. The breaking bread platter with three dips and pickled veg was tasty, but came with one pita for three of us?? The fatoush salad was good. The kibbeh was blah and tough. black cod was inedible due to amount of bones, and the borek “pasta” was nice, but tough and not crispy. Service was lovely. The service was nice. We were expecting much more.

    Very interesting menu. The pita and dips appetizer and beet salad were delicious. We also had the crispy lamb. A lot of fat and not much meat. Disappointing. Ambiance and service is outstanding. We sat outside so quiet compared to the dining room.

    The floor staff needs to be trained in the proper etiquette of serving. We ordered three courses and our next course would be served before our plates were cleared from the prior course. Ordered a glass of champagne and the waiter forgot the order. Arrived early before my dinner date and sat at the bar while three bartenders chatted among themselves - 10 minutes passed before they thought of asking me if I would care to have a drink. I was the only one sitting at one if the 10 place settings. I have grown up working in restaurants, my brothers are classically trained chefs and I have worked, traveled and eaten all over the world. The only person on the floor that truly cares and was a professional was a man named Jeffrey - wearing his hip white framed glasses. Who ever manages the floor staff should be replaced. The food can be incredibly but it is no substitute for poor service. I observed the same unprofessional service to the other diners around me, so the poor service is systemic.

    This was first time my wife and I ate at Dalida, and we were not disappointed. The food is meant to be shared so going with a larger group will give you the chance to try more dishes. We started with fresh oysters, and then had the Fattoush salad (beets and persimmons) and the "Braking Bread". We then shared the Anatollan Erishte (Turkish noodles with mushrooms) and the Kayseri Manti (lamb dumplings). Every dish was excellent. The pace of the meal was wonderful and the atmosphere was delightful. They have a very extensive wine list and all price points both by the glass and full bottles. I was interested in some southern European wines I have never heard of and our server gave excellent descriptions. I was not disappointed with my choice. Our server was wonderful, knowledgeable, and gave us great service from when we were seated to when we paid at the end of the meal. I am already looking forward to a future visit.
