Dali serves up traditional Spanish cuisine. Its setting features colorful artwork on the walls, a tin ceiling and warm lighting for an intimate, fun atmosphere. Owners Mario Leon and Tamara Bourso opened its doors for locals and travelers alike to taste the flavors of Spain. Dali is known for its delicious tapas. Guests can dine on such fare as beef short ribs in a wine sauce, grilled lamb chops or shrimp scallop ravioli. Delicious plates of whole baked fish and Spanish rice dishes can also be chosen as an entrée. Vegetarian, as well as dairy- and gluten-free options are on the menu.
Dali has a full bar that serves a variety of drinks, including wine and cocktails. It hosts parties for events, such as parties and receptions. This restaurant also welcomes reservations, making it ideal for date night.
Everything about Dali is amazing!!! The service, food, drinks, and ambiance were outstanding. We can’t wait to go back!
Great Spanish food in a cozy, artsy restaurant!
Good food, annoying waitress kept coming to our table every single minute to get out order
We’ve been coming to Dali for years and the food is always outstanding. The ambiance is cool, comfortable, and welcoming. Had a birthday party for my wife and they were very accommodating.
Every dish was exceptional and Daniel, our hospitality server gave great recommendations. Wonderful experience for friends giving!
Still the best tapas restaurant in the Greater Boston area. Great menu, food, and service.
The best tapas in Somerville, and the staff is absolutely amazing!
I've been coming her for 20+ years, and Dali never disappoints. Amazing food and sangria, friendly service, fun atmosphere... you can't go wrong, it's always fabulous!
Dali has been one of my partner and my favorite restaurants for awhile. The food is always delicious and the service is always great.
On our recent visit I asked the staff to help make the night extra special as I planned to propose to my girlfriend after our meal at Dali. They ensured we had the perfect romantic table and helped me pull off the surprise without a hitch! She said yes!
Dali will always be a special place for us, thanks in no small part to their willingness to go above and beyond!
Our server forgot a dish and one of our drinks. Overall the food was amazing
very authentic spanish tapas, and the decor was fantastic.... can be loud and tight on a busy night
Thank you for a wonderful evening - a girl’s night out celebrating a friend’s birthday. The ambience, food, and service was on point, once again.
We live around the corner but it took us forever to finally come here. . . to our loss! This is an excellent hideaway in Inman Square, and they have apparently been here forever. The tapas is fantastic and the service is definitely some of the best around. We will be returning soon
If you like Spanish style food and environment, this is a must visit place in Boston area
Consistently great food, funky atmosphere and attentive service.
The food was fantastic! Can’t complain there. The service was...weird. I arrived 10 min early for a reservation but was told I’d have to wait 15 minutes to be seated, even though plenty of tables were open. The manager then over ruled the host and sat us. We sat for about 15 minutes before water was poured or any other server paid us attention, again it was the manager running interference and taking our drink order. Truthfully, we were about to leave. I’d go back, but there are other tapas restaurants in Boston with better service and equally good food, if not better.
Dali is consistently an incredibly wonderful experience. We did a family birthday (over 21) gathering there - they always come together to make the dinner a real surprise celebration. The best dishes (some of the best anywhere) remain on the menu over the years and are always perfect.
Food is quite good, except the gambas al ajillo which the waiter inexplicably recommended and was the worst thing we had. The problem with Dali is that the back room gets WAY TOO LOUD as soon as it fills up. This is based on acoustics. The food is generally excellent.
Dali has been a perennial favorite with me and my family for over a decade. It was one of the first truly Spanish restaurants to establish a foothold in greater Boston, and the only one still in business. I continue to find them reliable for tasty tapas and pinchos; their gambas al ajillo (shrimp, olive oil, garlic) is still something we hold onto to dip bread in the oil until the last drop is gone. Queso de cabra montanes (goat cheese on tomato sauce) is as good as ever, and this time we tried the chorizo a la plancha (grilled slices of sausage on a bed of great white beans) and calamari with squid ink rice; both were fantastic. They can also deliver a terrific paella.
We went to Dali to celebrate a birthday; it remains a favorite place to do this. The wait staff flash the lights on and off, then offer a raucous, rambunctious of "Happy birthday," carrying a statue of a frog holding a candle. It's great fun, and hasn't lost its charm after over a decade of birthday celebrations. And dessert remains terrific with crema catalana (similar to creme caramel with a glassy sugary top), flan, and churros that delivered big on flavor.
Dali's is always worth the effort. Food and service was great and always a great lead-into Flamenco at
Berkley School of Music.
Fantastic dinner served by attentive waitstaff. My nephew had just returned from a year in Madrid and we took him there for his birthday. He said that the dishes were very reminiscent of his experiences in Spain, and we all found them delicious. After we left, my wife realized she left her thermos behind at our table; as I turned to go back toward the restaurant, the waiter was running after us, thermos in hand. That was very kind of him and illustrates the quality service.
Great service and lovely restaurant. So glad that we made a reservation, it became quite crowded after a while. Food was good not amazing but the service and ambiance made up for it. Not a great value given food quality but decent enough.
Food is wonderful! Octopus nice and tender, bacon wrapped prunes delicious. Service was so-so - cold, gruff, and not very attentive. Still worth the trip for the food.
Food was incredible. Great cocktails and a flight of port to close out my beautiful wife's birthday dinner.
What a disappointment at Dali last weekend. Slower service is to be expected on a Saturday night, but we sat at our table for longer than twenty minutes before we were even acknowledged or offered water. Not an exaggeration - our reservation was at 9 and we were seated promptly but our server didn't acknowledge us until almost 9:30. When we went to Dali months ago, the menu was inspired and the food was delicious. This go around it seemed like so many of the menu items are the same ingredients or the same preparation, so much so that we struggled to order. So much of the menu is taken up by fried foods – croquettes are great, but I thought the point of Tapas was to get a taste of many different dishes. When our selections did arrive, they weren’t great. We had the skewers with melon and goat cheese, but the texture and flavor of the goat cheese seemed all wrong, and the melons were underripe. I was thrilled to see a familiar dish of fried cheese with honey and onion, a dish I’ve coveted since Tapeo closed on Newbury street years ago, and was totally let down after taking one bite of Dali’s version. It was soggy and cold. Croquettes were meh at best, and the flatbread served with the chickpea spread was literally charred. Cocktails were watery – don’t bother ordering one. This experience was so starkly different from the last time we came to Dali that I almost wonder if they’re under new management or something.
Dali was fantastic! The atmosphere was wonderful and the food was AMAZING! Every dish blew us away. We'd recommend the fried cheese balls and garlic shrimp!
Most amazing and friendly service. Every single employee was smiling and so kind. I felt welcomed the moment I walked in. I was there on a date for my boyfriend’s birthday. We had delicious tapas and cocktails and ended the night blowing out a birthday candle and kissing the frog. Thank you for a special night!
We love it
We had a really nice evening. Will definitely be back.
I would like not to recommend it in order to be able to go again whenever I want, but it was so great that I feel I have to :) Loved it.
Great birthday dinner. Staff made the celebration festive. Small plates were delicious and savory. Exotic decor. Highly recommend the experience.
First time to Dali. Had an early (5:30) reservation, and there were plenty of tables and privacy. Menu was quite diverse (only complaint from my wife was that there weren't enough vegetable dishes). Everything we had was seasoned well. Ambience was colorful, loaded with interesting painting/photos, wall paper, tile. Wait staff was friendly and helpful. Will definitely go again.
It was amay
Great food augmented by an awesome Spanish wine recommended by our very friendly and knowledgeable waiter.
We LOVED this place!!
great ambiance and service. menu was unique and exciting! seems like a great place to have a big group dinner and try a little of several tapas. overall food was flavorful but very rich. would go back and order lighter. dessert was amazing!
One of our favorite date night restaurants - always a treat!
Wonderful spot in Somerville for Spanish tapas and sangria
This restaurant has been a favorite of mine since they opened, and it continues to hit all the right marks: great food, awesome staff, and the ambinance and decor are dynamite.
Tasty Spanish tapas. Paella was excellent. Lots of vegetarian options
