Dali serves up traditional Spanish cuisine. Its setting features colorful artwork on the walls, a tin ceiling and warm lighting for an intimate, fun atmosphere. Owners Mario Leon and Tamara Bourso opened its doors for locals and travelers alike to taste the flavors of Spain. Dali is known for its delicious tapas. Guests can dine on such fare as beef short ribs in a wine sauce, grilled lamb chops or shrimp scallop ravioli. Delicious plates of whole baked fish and Spanish rice dishes can also be chosen as an entrée. Vegetarian, as well as dairy- and gluten-free options are on the menu.
Dali has a full bar that serves a variety of drinks, including wine and cocktails. It hosts parties for events, such as parties and receptions. This restaurant also welcomes reservations, making it ideal for date night.
Food is wonderful! Octopus nice and tender, bacon wrapped prunes delicious. Service was so-so - cold, gruff, and not very attentive. Still worth the trip for the food.
Food was incredible. Great cocktails and a flight of port to close out my beautiful wife's birthday dinner.
What a disappointment at Dali last weekend. Slower service is to be expected on a Saturday night, but we sat at our table for longer than twenty minutes before we were even acknowledged or offered water. Not an exaggeration - our reservation was at 9 and we were seated promptly but our server didn't acknowledge us until almost 9:30. When we went to Dali months ago, the menu was inspired and the food was delicious. This go around it seemed like so many of the menu items are the same ingredients or the same preparation, so much so that we struggled to order. So much of the menu is taken up by fried foods – croquettes are great, but I thought the point of Tapas was to get a taste of many different dishes. When our selections did arrive, they weren’t great. We had the skewers with melon and goat cheese, but the texture and flavor of the goat cheese seemed all wrong, and the melons were underripe. I was thrilled to see a familiar dish of fried cheese with honey and onion, a dish I’ve coveted since Tapeo closed on Newbury street years ago, and was totally let down after taking one bite of Dali’s version. It was soggy and cold. Croquettes were meh at best, and the flatbread served with the chickpea spread was literally charred. Cocktails were watery – don’t bother ordering one. This experience was so starkly different from the last time we came to Dali that I almost wonder if they’re under new management or something.
Dali was fantastic! The atmosphere was wonderful and the food was AMAZING! Every dish blew us away. We'd recommend the fried cheese balls and garlic shrimp!
Most amazing and friendly service. Every single employee was smiling and so kind. I felt welcomed the moment I walked in. I was there on a date for my boyfriend’s birthday. We had delicious tapas and cocktails and ended the night blowing out a birthday candle and kissing the frog. Thank you for a special night!
We love it
We had a really nice evening. Will definitely be back.
I would like not to recommend it in order to be able to go again whenever I want, but it was so great that I feel I have to :) Loved it.
Great birthday dinner. Staff made the celebration festive. Small plates were delicious and savory. Exotic decor. Highly recommend the experience.
First time to Dali. Had an early (5:30) reservation, and there were plenty of tables and privacy. Menu was quite diverse (only complaint from my wife was that there weren't enough vegetable dishes). Everything we had was seasoned well. Ambience was colorful, loaded with interesting painting/photos, wall paper, tile. Wait staff was friendly and helpful. Will definitely go again.
It was amay
Great food augmented by an awesome Spanish wine recommended by our very friendly and knowledgeable waiter.
We LOVED this place!!
great ambiance and service. menu was unique and exciting! seems like a great place to have a big group dinner and try a little of several tapas. overall food was flavorful but very rich. would go back and order lighter. dessert was amazing!
One of our favorite date night restaurants - always a treat!
Wonderful spot in Somerville for Spanish tapas and sangria
This restaurant has been a favorite of mine since they opened, and it continues to hit all the right marks: great food, awesome staff, and the ambinance and decor are dynamite.
Tasty Spanish tapas. Paella was excellent. Lots of vegetarian options
A great spot for a special celebration, or just a quiet evening out for Tapas and Spanish wine.
I love dali. The food is good, service is excellent. You don't have to wait too long before the first dishes start coming out. Also, great wine and sangria.
Third year in a row our son has requested to go to Dali for his birthday dinner, and yet again we were not disappointed!
Loved the place
Dali was the perfect escape on a Friday evening! I felt like I was enjoying the cultures of Spain from the moment I entered the restaurant. It was so full of life, smiling faces, and delicious tapas. I would absolutely recommend Dali for a romantic evening with a significant other or a night with family and friends.
I’m obsessed with Dali now. It was my first time there and it was amazing. Very cute decorations and great food. There is a lot on the menu, but you can basically pick anything and it will be good. The sangria is delicious as well. I loved our waiter Raphael. He was so cute and attentive. I can’t wait to come back here for my birthday next month.
Had a birthday dinner here with a big party and had a wonderful time. Servers were super accommodating of the size of our party, and kept us well supplied with wine and tapas. Everything was great!
The tapas are delicious with a wide regional variety. The paella are also good but we prefer getting an assortment of tapas and sharing. Sangria is outstanding
The mushroom artichoke, the spinach, iberico special ham, scallops in saffron cream are all worth having
The food was incredible! A wonderful place for a birthday dinner
Wait staff was perfect
Food was delicious
Absolutely all great!
It was very, very loud inn the back/side room area. I have eaten here many times before but never in that room. It was unpleasantly loud.
My favorite restaurant in the Boston/Cambridge area. The food is authentic and amazing. It’s my date night go to for an amazing atmosphere, strong drinks, and tapas. This restaurant makes you feel like you stepped into Spain with the quality, service, and prices. The best tapas in the area.
My husband and I have been dining at Dali for 30ty years and we have enjoyed every meal! The ambiance is very cheerful and "Spanish" and the tapas and food is outstanding! Also, the Sangria is the best we have ever had in the USA! Ole!
Although the ambiance is interesting and lively, the service was very slow and the food was not even mediocre. We ordered 3 cold tapas since my friend was a vegetarian. The dishes didn't taste fresh and at some point I thought an appetizer from Trader Joe's could taste even better. Their special wine had a cheap taste. I don't know about their meat dishes, but what we ordered (Feta cheese with tomato and basil, crepe and potato alioli) was bad. We couldn't even finish.
I have dined here on several occasions and it is always fun and vibrant! The ambiance is great - A bar as you enter, then step down into a nice dining room and on through to the back dining room. There are so many choices on the menu - something for everyone. The food is wonderful, and Dali is awesome for a casual meal or a special occasion.
Really wasn’t expecting a ‘traditional’ Spanish restaurant. We arrived really early but the place was packed out but 6:30pm.
Tapas were all really nice, but a couple were really small plates, hardly enough to share for 2. We added some bread to fill us up... should have thought about that earlier.
Scallops lovely, lamb chops disappointing. Anything with Spanish manchega, definitely order those.
Excellent place to go and relax with good food and service.
If I want some terrific food with great variety, awesome service and atmosphere - this is my place to go. I love the tapas idea when I can try several dishes not feeling that it's too much. Wine selection is good too. Love this place.
Delicious tapas plates, moderately priced. Our waiter was a funny guy. Loved him, Loved going back to Dali after a long time away. That won't happen again.
Outstanding tapas as always, best in Boston and outside of Spain. Parking is a problem, take a taxi or Uber.
Second time going to Dali atmosphere, service, price, quality of food and overall it is an amazing place we had the same server as the first time Yolanda she is so personable and so friendly
Lots of fun, great music (eg Govi) in the background, and we loved the tapas plates -- lots of new ideas for tasting and enjoying. Nice cocktails too! Sherries were wonderful.
