I have been to Dal Contadino twice. Both times exceeded my expectations. The food is delicious, the staff is attentive and friendly, the atmosphere is fantastic. You feel like you are in quaint trattoria in Italy. Highly recommend.
OMG, the food is SO delicious. Our server, Emanuele, was amazing and the manager was bringing out all of the food. It was nice to see the whole team working together in order to make sure the consistency of the food was always on point. We have already picked out what we are ordering for our next visit.
The food is always on point and authentic! The service is just as amazing! We had the pleasure of being helped by Anthony, who did not skip a beat! This restaurant is a gem and we have dined several times, each experience just as wonderful and consistent as the next. We are already planning our next one! Thank you!!
Wonderful experience! Everything was delicious and the service was superb!
We went for a bachelorette and it was such a great place! Our waiter was a rock star and they even allowed us to push our reservation back an hour when our flight was delayed. The food was delicious and we really enjoyed the cocktails as well!
We had a surprise birthday party with 7 and it was perfect. First timer and the food was the reason I selected this restaurant and it was just incredible. Table order the Steak, the Vodka, the Pear purses, the Traditional pasta, the Lasagna, the Bruschetta, and the Antipasta appetizer. We all took home leftovers. Special touch, the tamborine player with the Happy Birthday wishes.
Favorite restaurant for a home cooked Italian meal. Friendly & welcoming staff really makes it a great experience! Love this place !
Need to lower the music volume other then that we had a great dining experience will definitely be coming back!,!
I thought the food was incredible. The pastas were homemade.
Last time we dined here both the food and service were exemplary. So different now, I’m wondering if ownership has changed? In any case, we found the food (pasta Bolognese and the lasagna, mediocre at best. My lasagna simply tasted weird. Also, although our waitress was super-sweet, we simply found it impossible to understand what she was saying; leaving us to guess what she was saying. I had so looked forward to this return visit, but was disappointed. Sad to say, I wouldn’t rush back… 🙁
The food is to die for…True Italian! Please try this place out.
The service was great but it was waaaay too noisy in there. It was hard to talk without screaming. The stuffed zucchini flowers were tasty but for $14 there should have been more than just 2 little flowers on a plate. The lasagna was a nice size and very good but the shrimp with pesto pasta fell flat with just 2 shrimp on the dish. The Sicilian sauce was good but not memorable.
Best artichokes ever!!!
Manny was great and took great care of us. Liked the chef personally delivers food to table. Food was wonderful. Can’t wait to return.
We went there on Tuesday for dinner it was so wonderful we went back on Friday before we left to go back to Pittsburgh.
A perfect evening out.
Wait staff was knowledgeable and helpful
Drinks and food were outstanding
We will be back for sure
My group was very excited to dine at this restaurant. The experience was just okay. We sat outside because of the pandemic. We felt as if we "second-thoughts" as far as service went. We understand the staff shortages in south Florida, but three hours for dinner! Many inside guests came and went in the time it took us to get our meals. Also, please have the servers tell the guests the prices for daily specials. The short rib special was $45.00 for a very large bone with a lot of fatty sections. We were all underwhelmed by this dining experience. Would we return? No.
Staff was great. They were very professional and efficient.
I ordered the Lamb Chops. They were quite thin and lots of fat. While tasty they were not worth the price. I’ll stick to Pasta next time.
Good food and music
Amazing food. Ask for the short rib special, they don’t always have it. Call in advance!
First time for dinner. Anthony our waiter was very professional and friendly. He knew the menu well and had an experienced team working with him.
The food was excellent. We will be back next week.
Wow, just wow!!! As we arrived the place was packed, folks were pouring over on outside dining and that validated that this was already a good choice. Then comes the amazing wine selection, and the food, the food was phenomenal. But the topper was the impromptu Frank Sanatra singing and the staff entertainment. Absolutely a memorable experience and I can’t wait to visit again.
We were looking for something new, a cozy setting with quality food. Guess what? We have to look no further.
We love this place. The bread is crunchy around the edges, yet moist inside. When you dip the bread in the olive oil, balsamic vinegar topped with parmesan, I could eat a whole loaf and dinner didn’t even start yet.
We got the white bean soup, wowee!
We shared the lasagna, and topped it off with the best cannoli.
I’m not getting on the scale for a couple of days, but boy, was it worth it.
The cuisine, wine list, and service here are superb but the extremely loud and seriously unpleasant music greatly detracted from our dining experience and made us anxious to leave the restaurant rather than staying to order more wine and dessert.
Traditional Italian food that’s just downright tasty. Pasta is made on-site. Loving the artichokes and the sausages. Service is friendly and attentive. Sometimes they have live music. A great spot well worth trying.
Food was excellent and came out hot right after preparation which to me is very important. Would definitely recommend.
This spot doesn’t look impressive from the outside, but it is truly a gem of a restaurant. Once You step inside it feels as if you’ve been translocated straight to Italy. Our server was Manny and he appeared to be Italian himself and provided prompt, attentive service through the entire meal. The calamari was incredible, perfectly fried and fresh. The mussels were good, but if you’re hoping for a buttery lemon sauce, this isn’t for you. Our group of 4 each ordered different entrees and they were all generous portion sizes and delicious. The lemoncello tarimasu for dessert was to die for. Will definitely be back soon.
Excellent Italian food, fresh and perfect.
Always best Italian restaurant in South Florida. Great staff and wonderful food.
Amazing quality food! Service was very welcoming and caring.
Love this place, but last night the speakers were so loud you couldn’t have any conversation and everyone left with headaches. Food is wonderful.
This is by far the best italian restaurant in south florida both in terms of quality and value. Couldn’t be better!
My second time there. A bit disappointed in Artichoke appetizer. Wasn’t as good as first time In fact was quite different.
We love this place. Every time we are in Miami this is a must. It takes us to Italy. Delicious food and great selection of wines. Service is always outstanding. Don’t miss the artichokes.
Great dining experience
Great food and service. Ragu della Nonna reminded me of my mothers and Nanna's hand made pasta and simple sauce! Staff was extremely attentive and fun. Great, simple wine list with a wine from a place we visited on a trip to the Tuscany region. Simply fantastic!!!
Wow! Absolutely delicious from the cocktail at the bar to the appetizers, entries and desert. Best Italian in Fort Lauderdale hands down.
AMAZING!!! Dinner was absolutely incredible!!
Anthony was an awesome server!!
We honestly ended up here because several other places did not have availability, we’re not great at planning ahead.
The ratings were quite good so we gave it a shot.
We had a warm welcome and we’re seated immediately.
It seemed to be a pretty extensive menu and there were specials as well.
We ordered the zucchini blossoms appetizer and the meatball appetizer to share which were both delicious.
The pasta is made in-house and 2 in our party ordered seafood pastas, one ordered Chicken Pallard, and I had the short rib special .
The short rib was the biggest short rib portion I’ve ever been served and it was delicious and was served with a delicious gnocchi side. Everybody enjoyed their meals. We then shared 2 desserts which were delicious as well.
The service was excellent.
