Dakota's Steakhouse Ratings and Reviews
Ambiance on the patio by the waterfall was amazing! I started off with the bone marrow appetizer, I had never had it before, amazing, I'd suggest it to anyone! I ordered the bone in filet mignon which was cooked perfectly and tasted amazing.. My friend had the scallops and enjoyed them, I don't eat seafood but I know a scallop can be overcooked easily, hers were perfect.. Our server was very attentive and prompt.. Overall experience was great and would highly recommend having dinner here!
My brother in law ask my wife and I to join him here for dinner it was very close to where he was staying.
Im going to cut to the chase here everyone loved their chicken tortilla soup I had the capresse salad all very good.
The star here is the steaks I had the New York the other two men had the ribeyes. My wife had the mahi all raved.
All agreed the steaks were the best anyone had had in a very long time truly exceptional.
Tinder flavorful perfect crust and temperature.
The scallop potatoes were outstanding as well.
Had dinner here for our first anniversary - absolutely wonderful experience! Classic steakhouse experience with live jazz piano, delicious steaks, tasty appetizers, amazing accompaniments (I highly recommend the brussel sprouts), and heavenly dessert - and I didn't feel like I would burst afterwards, either! We will be back for sure!
Well, I reviewed this already on Google but it was so good I don't mind another time. Just overall one of the best dining experiences I've ever had. Food, drinks, service, atmosphere were all above and beyond expectations. Simply fantastic!!! Thanks again Dakota's for helping to make our 20th Anniversary a night we will always remember.
The service started off very lousy. I asked to have a table in the patio area but the request was denied because my table for 5 was already set up. Not a good reason since there were plenty of empty tables in the patio area that remained empty the entire time we were dining. My guest and I ordered steak cooked medium, however it was overcooked to well done. The steak was so tough we could not chew it. We sent the steaks back but it took extremely long time so we got the meals to go. Even more insulting, the tea and soft drink is included in the Business Lunch price; however, if we ordered Mango tea and was charged the full price for the drink. The waiter informed us during the checkout process that although the Mango tea is only about 30 more than regular tea or soft drinks, it is not included in the business lunch price -- a fact he failed to share when he offered it during the ordering process. The service was terrible and extremely slow! I do not recommend this restaurant!
NO OPEN TOE SHOES ALLOWED FOR MEN. I made this reservation to entertain clients and because one of them wore sandals, we were not permitted to eat in the main dining room and relegated to the bar area. This was rather embarrassing for my client as he was otherwise dressed nicely. This policy is not stated on the website or on Open Table.
My husband and I went to Dakotas for his birthday. He has never been there before, but I have. My first experience was amazing so I thought he would love it. We got there, the valet service was a nice feature but the men did not greet us they just handed us a ticket and jumped in our car. We headed down into the restaurant where we told the hostess that we had a reservation for Brandie and he kind of just looked at me like he wasn't sure, then acted as if he couldn't find it. We were seated shortly after the awkward exchange and waited a while for our server to come around. While waiting we noticed we couldn't hear each other very well. The patrons were loud and the music was loud. It was quite difficult to speak during dinner. We waited quite some time for our appetizer, as well as our entrees. Kevin ordered scallops, which he felt could've been cooked longer. I ordered the duck which the presentation was amazing and theatric, it was missing the asparagus that the menu says it comes with. We enjoyed our meals otherwise. We also really enjoyed dessert. Not sure if we'll go back, considering it was quite expensive for just an okay experience.
Our nine year old grandson picked Dakotas for his birthday dinner because he had such a good time last year. Nick was our waiter and did a terrific job. He is knowledgeable about the menu and the wine list and is good company. He made our experience most enjoyable. we will be back!
