The pasta was way too spicy for a pomodora. The meatballs were too hard. The drinks were the highlight of the evening. It turned into a nightclub following dinner and became extremely loud. Wouldn't choose to go again for dinner but for drinks and dancing it would be good.

Unfortunately, I cannot give this establishment a good review. We went there to have dinner because we read on OpenTable that the place stays open until 10pm. That fact was confirmed by the menu (the hours are posted at the bottom) and we proceeded to place our order in sequence as is our preference. Then, when our first appetizer arrived and the waitress then said that the kitchen closes at 9pm so we should hurry to order the rest of our meal. Perhaps that may work for some people, but as far as my husband and I are concerned that is absolutely unacceptable. We felt duped and decided to finish our drinks with the appetizer and go elsewhere. The only food we had was the artichoke appetizer, which was described as "grilled" and "baby". Well, as if the fact that we were unhappy with the kitchen closing an hour earlier than posted wasn't enough, the appetizer turned out to be awful as well. The artichokes were definitely past their prime, fibrous, and decidedly _not_ "baby", and also not well cooked so practically inedible. In fact, they rushed it out of the fridge so bad that it was cold in the center and the cheese had not had a chance to melt and was raw inside. There was perhaps three tablespoons of edible food in that appetizer and the rest was an enormous pile of thorns and inedible fibrous leaves. (I grow artichokes in my garden, I know what good artichoke looks/feels/tastes like). Overall, we had a terrible experience and do not recommend this "restaurant". The menu that is posted here on OpenTable is misleading. Most of what is shown here is NOT on the actual menu. Needless to say, we will never be back to Dacota Bar & Grill.

Even though I made the reservation, they were not prepared for us. The restaurant was completely empty, so we didn't understand how the service was so poor. The waitress was nice, but there were many issues. The food orders were wrong, they charged us $4 more than the menu price for the pork belly. Many entrees came out almost ten minutes after everyone else's. The manager never came to our table to apologize for the many issues. I would not recommend going her for dinner. The bar area is nice though, so only go there to drink.

Great tasting salads, locally sourced ingredients, natural and organic. It has a great bar scene, awesome music, and appealing decor. I will definitely be returning here next time I'm in Scottsdale.
