Midwest Italian restaurant focusing on house made pastas, utilizing vegetables from Chef Joe Frillman’s family farm.

Our bakery and cafe serves La Colombe Coffee alongside an array of pastries and sandwiches crafted by Chef Leigh Omilinksy.

Dinner reservations are available Tuesday - Sunday; we are closed for dinner service on Mondays.
Our cafe operates from 7:00am - 3:00pm every day.
Lunch is available from 11:00am - 2:00pm every day.
We do not take lunch or cafe reservations, it is first come first served.

Please note that there will be a 25% service charge applied to all bills. This goes to pay our staff equitably as well as provide health and other benefits not typically offered in restaurants.

Much of the produce at this Italian-by-way-of-the-Midwest restaurant comes from chef Joe Frillman's brother's farm outside Chicago. Daisies is dedicating an evening to highlight ingredients that would not exist without pollinators. From a welcome cocktail hour, to a local honey tasting, and a prefix three course dinner - all paired with special boozy sips. With some help from our friends at Barr Hill, and Chicago local beekeepers, we would love to invite you to be part of this celebration of the beauty of early harvest and the busy bees (literally) that make it possible Ticket prices include food, beverage pairings, a welcome cocktail, 25% service charge and taxes per person. Due to the prefix nature of the event and the carefully curated theme, we cannot guarantee accommodations to dietary restrictions. Everything we ordered was excellent! Our server, Kayla, was spot on with her recommendations and describing items we asked about. The homemade "Ruffles" and onion dip are a definite get! As is the asparagus panzanella salad. Everything else was wonderful. Other than our server, Kayla, all the servers and wait persons were attentive and really nice ... looking forward to returning to Daisies.

I was warned about the service from several people and they were right. Our server took himself way too seriously. The appetizers are too unusual (keep it simple and good). However the entries were excellent. I had the gnocchi and my wife had a red sauce pasta and both were fresh and delicious. The wine list could use some work. Offering Michigan wines (which no one likes) are not appropriate for the level of food. It is a bit unusual that they have Spanish, US and Italian sparkling wine but no Champagne. The 25% mandatory service fee (plus the 3% that Chicago mandates) are outrageous and a fundamental misunderstanding of what tipping is for (excellent service).

There aren't enough superlatives to describe this place and the wonderful meal (and service!!) we experienced. Make a reservation NOW...you will not be disappointed!

Our server Nick was great. We were meeting family so we were busy chatting and he was respectful of our space and time. He was attentive without being disruptive. The food was delicious and the rhubarb dessert was outstanding. We had two of them between the three of us. The asparagus panzanella and cappelletti were great but the gnocchi was a standout amongst the entrees. It was pillowy mel-in-the-mouth delicious.
