Great service with super tasty food and great mixed drinks.
I found this on yelp, the street noise on the patio was more than I expected. I was celebrating my birthday, I am not sure if they see the reservation request or not, but they asked on the form and I told them, but I am not sure why because no one asked or mentioned a thing. Not that I need any cake but they didn't offer anything special. We ordered the hummus, I had a cobb salad and my mom had the sandwich combo(tuna melt and Greenleaf salad). It was not memorable for either one of us. Maybe we should have had some wine! This was a halfway point for me and my mom, but we both agreed it wasn't going to be a repeat.
While we preferred Laurel Point (previously at this location) the Daily Grill is a wonderful place for a casual meal. The food is very good, and the service is excellent.
This is second time we came to Daily Grill. It is not as good or generous portions as it used to be.
My husband ordered the hamburger - Had to have no salt, but he said it was not good at all. We
have had hamburgers with no salt and they were delicious. This one was not good at all.
My Trout amandine was delicious - My friends salmon was good, but very small piece.
I liked my dish but he will not go back. But, I will.
Food was basic, uninspired, adequate. We miss the old Daily Grill.
Very nice. Good pricey food.
My salad had very little in it, except lettuce.
My husbands, short ribs came fridge cold. And the meat tasted stale and old.
Disappointed as I have been here recently and it was great.
Great service...old school restaurant experience!
SOOO very glad to have this place back! Had the Cobb salad and because it was “brunch” they gave us monkey bread that was like a delicious cinnamon roll. Outstanding! My hubby has an egg white omelet and enjoyed that too. The service could have been better. Had to laugh-I had to ask for more coffee (place was 1/2 empty) and the server came back with another cup that was filled, left the empty cup and before she could walk away, I asked for more coffee for my husband who left to use the restroom- and sure enough she brought back another full cup for him and also left the empty one on the table. Oh well.... again they are back and yes we will be back!
So happy to see Daily Grill back where it belongs!
SO HAPPY THEY CONVERTED BACK TO DAILY GRILL; HOWEVER, SOME OF MY FAVORITES DID NOT MAKE IT ON TO THE NEW MENU.
LOVED THE SANDDABS AND CALIMERI ALL SIDE DISHES WERE SUPERB!!
So happy to have The Daily Grill back. Everything was great. Nothing like the chicken pot pie. Great local restaurant
My wife and I shared the Trout dinner. It was cooked and presented excellently. Nothing was left on our plates!
This was our 5th time dining at Daily Grille in Studio City since the re-opening. Wednesday night also includes a special price for the pork chop entrée which is awesome. Our waiter, Mia, was very pleasant and most attentive. We highly recommend this Daily Grille.
Always loved this restaurant. The service was a little off tonight. The waitress never brought our bread or our salad and then the main dishes came out. She did apologize and we finally got some bread and just cancelled the salad. Food was good and we enjoyed the rest of the dinner.
The Daily Grill is always consistent and a very good value. We celebrated a birthday and they were very accommodating
We went to celebrate a birthday meal and I had wanted to use the birthday promo that the Grill Concepts Groups had sent me. Unfortunately, they changed their rewards program the day before, and I was unable to make use of it. That said, the food was great, and aside from an initial wait time, the service, attentive.
Excellent service, very mediocre and overpriced food. Too bad.
slow service from nice but distracted staff, mediocre food, definitely won't be back
We had the most wonderful server, Maya, who was so polite, and professional.
The food was, as usual, terrific, EXCEPT for the usually delicious roasted peanut slaw, which has become unrecognizable....what happened?, and why change perfection?
So spicy....no reason for that to cover up its uniqueness.
We will be back, of course, but no more slaw😕
Always a winner, w/ food quality and presentation. Good, but far from impeccable service. Given the stratospheric price-range, I would think that a more refined, yet comfortable service would be in order.
Menu needs to be updated. Boring my old menu. Not busy at all
We went for my sister’s birthday. Food was great. Service even better!
The dinner and whole experience was extremely mediocre
Glad the Daily Grill is back in Studio City. I missed it. The food is good and service is always great. I definitely will return.
Extremely disappointed with the service. Kelly, our server, had a bit of an edge and though it seemed to soften at one point, it later re-surfaced even more harshly. Specifically: when the salad came out coated in dressing. We requested the balsamic and Caesar both be on the side. We decided to try it though, with the Caesar that it came out with, as opposed to just sending it back immediately. Not a hit. She said she’d have the kitchen re-do it with the Balsamic. Much better. However, she did not offer freshly grated Parmesan or black pepper. Nevertheless, with the Balsamic Vinegarette, the salad was promising.
Then the Chicken Piccata came out. Not well-done, as we’d requested. When I asked Kelly about this, she said something akin to maybe they (the chefs?) didn’t want it to get dried out. A good chef could make it well-done without the dryness. Possibly they didn’t prepare it that way because she didn’t enter it that way? In any case, she reluctantly took the plate back and the chicken was re-made (or the original pieces cooked longer, I’m not sure). Wishing the whole experience had been better. Such good dinners there 20 years ago. Had hoped for something much more enjoyable on this occasion: my 53rd birthday.
Reliable tasty comfort food, large portions and good service.
Birthday party with 7 people. Reservation acknowledged and seated right away at a big enough table. Excellent server Ben who helped us earlier in the month. Noise level was low, food was great and complimentary Birthday dessert . Waiting for daily Grill to start rewards program again.
The food was great and the service was great too. You will find celebs there as well we met a few during our visit. Its a hang out in Studio city. Highly recommend!
Good to have DG back...service a little slow, but very pleasant
The acoustics are now terrible. It has lost all of the charm of the old daily grill. No longer feels special or intimate.
The open room felt like a Long John Silvers. It needs booths and table cloths.
Great service ! Kami was very professional and super nice.
There were 3 for lunch. Everyone enjoyed what they ordered. Waiter was very good...Josh. I would come back.
We are quite pleased to see the return of Daily Grill. It had been one of our favorite eateries and was missed. In appearance is seems as though nothing has changed. The menu was quite similar/familiar. Of the meals ordered by our group, the rib eye and filet mignon were excellent, as was an entrée salad. My wife was, however disappointed by the sand dabs. The breading was far too thick and doughy, and the fish itself was mushy, I believe due to the excessive breading. The beverages were fine, and the service excellent.
The Dine LA menu was delicious and an amazing value. Loved everything and our server was great too.
It is great having Daily Grill finally back in Studio City.
Food, service, drinks and the fantastic bread are a great as I remember.
I have been going to Daily Grill for years so excited to find it back with new decor...... beyond disappointed. The service was bad slow and not attentive... had to ask for napkin silverware water bread .... drinks took forever to get ... it was restaurant week had to ask for menu and waiter not familiar with options .....upgraded to crab cakes which were good but all else bad.... even food presentation was poor... they even ran out of dessert on restaurant week menu so needed to sub ....I ordered pork chop couldn’t eat sent back once still bad water never asked if ok .... food took way to long to get.... restaurant on Friday night maybe half full.... guess the word is out ... spend your money somewhere else so many great places in the neighborhood... I also noticed many poor reviews and no response from the restaurant management... that says it ALL .... looking forward to what comes next in the location
A nice dinner.
The wine was very good.
I started with a shrimp cocktail that was very nice.
I had the homestyle meatloaf with ginger glazed carrots and creamed spinach followed by the fruit cobler.
The meatloaf was tender and flavorfull with great texture.
The creamed spinach was very good; a touch more garlic would have made it perfect.
The ginger-glazed carrots were OK, but there were too many, one was undercooked, and the ginger on all was overpowered by cinnamon; had the called it 'cinnamon-glazed carrots' it would have been spot on.
The fruit cobbleer was just OK. It was big enough for two (that was not on the menu!) and the fruit was such a mix I couldn't pick out the flavor. The crumbleand ice cream on top were good.
I was a little dissappointed with their Single Malt Scotch list, but at least they had a choice that included smoky and sweet.
I'd go back to try other things on the menu.
So glad Daily Grille Studio City is back! Consistently amazing food. Chef was able to accommodate my change of the Ahi Tuna salad to Salmon and it was delishhhhh!
Just awful! The "new and improved" Daily Grill is worse than I could have imagined. We were there for dinner. The food was simply terrible and the prices are exorbitant for what you get! I was so surprised as I used to enjoy the "old" Daily Grill. I had a seared Ahi Tuna salad that was bland and very small. The Ahi had a spicy chili rub that was not at all tasty, I tried to scrape it off. The salad itself, which is served next to the Ahi, was flavorless.
Ironically, another friend asked me to lunch a few days later again at the Daily Grill. I thought I'd give it another try. Equally as disappointing! A terribly mediocre very small Chicken Caesar Salad and again way overpriced.
The new ambiance is cold and uninviting, tables and chairs in a large poorly lit room.
The service was fine, wait staff and hosts were friendly.
I will NOT be back, ever.
