   The food is typically excellent, but was burnt tonight. The waitstaff were also quite rude tonight—which was very different from my previous experiences at Dagon. I was disappointed because I had enthusiastically taken a friend to Davon after praising the restaurant to her.

   This is my second time dining here and the food and service do not disappoint. The lamb is to die for and I don’t normally eat lamb.

   The food is great. I particularly like the facct that you do not overuse salt. After restaurant meals I tend to wake up in the middle of the night absolutely parched. But not with Dagon. Thanks.

   This is a terrific UWS middle eastern restaurant which has become very popular .The food is terrific, a feast for the palate HOWEVER the noise level is so high that you are literally screaming so the person opposite you can hear .Now imagine this cacophony at every table..they forget that the food is only one quality that makes a restaurant great...

   Meal was excellent. Each person in our party of 4 was delighted with their choices. We had 3 mezze- duck mousse (fabulous) roasted beets, eggplant - all were excellent, interesting, creative. Dinners were excellent too. Lamb was incredibly tender, arctic char was reportedly excellent, soft shells would benefit from less panko and perhaps more delicate preparation, but delicious, mushroom ravioli was good, not great. Panna cotta and cheesecake were excellent. Whole experience and ambiance were terrific. Thank you.

   Good food, good service. Ambience of restaurant somewhat cold and uninteresting. Absence of sound adsorption plus plus sound from other patrons make personal conversation somewhat difficult.

   After being sat we waited 25 minutes for a server to even come to our table and that was only after I tracked one down. Drinks took longer than food. We spoke to a manager who couldn’t care less that we waited 25 minutes after being seated and had to find a server ourselves. Horrible service for the prices they charge. Food was good as always but the service was downright horrendous.

    Our first time there, and everything was fabulous. We ate outdoors on a lovely warm evening. Flavors were fantastic, great variety of textures, beautifully presented on the plate or bowl. It’s hard to pick favorites of the ten dishes shared among the four of us. Highlights: •Cauliflower – crispy outside, succulent inside •Octopus – incredibly tender, served on a thick earthy black sesame tahini •Hummus – with a poached egg, great flatbread, and fresh and dried herbs •Chicken liver mousse – wondrous delicate flavor and texture combination, with crunchy mustard seeds floating in fig syrup. It's on my list of must-return-soon restaurants.

    Love this place. Food is delicious and we did the pre fixe dinner that was available before 6pm. (Scheduling early dinners as its perks.) It was a GREAT deal! High quality food, generous portions that even allowed for some leftovers! We ate outside in the "streetside hut" and the only drawback I would say was that it was LOUD. The street noise is too close, and because it is "walled in" on 3 sides, the sound of other parties echoes all around. I for one am ready for "parking hut dining" to be done. I'd much rather eat on a sidewalk table.

    Billed as elevated Mediterranean and Levantine cuisine, Dagon falls short in every way except decor. Haughty service, bland food, chipped glass, flat soda. No apologies. Extra charges for tahina & schug. Dining out is as much about hospitality as it is about (good) food. Dagon is overly expensive for a mediocre dining experience.

    We first ate at Dagon a year ago and had an OK meal, with good service and some of the food excellent, some meh. But we had heard several people say how much they had enjoyed the food and the service. This past Sunday we had an awful brunch. The coffee was cold, and was replaced with cold coffee. The omelet was lukewarm. The service was completely indifferent to our plight. The burger was not rare, but they tried and the pickled peppers really helped. All in all, we will not be back. Indeed we are telling our friends to avoid it.

    Tables outside are ‘very’ close together. I don’t know about the inside but it’s a little tricky to navigate if you want to enjoy a conversation over drinks

    Dagon is an excellent restaurant with an unusual and intriguing menu. It's a great addition to the restaurants in the neighborhood. It has been very popular since it opened just as the pandemic was hitting stride. It's the first place i want to go for a special occasion.

    We love the restaurant and will return ANY time we can sit outside. The music is way too loud and so we can’t comfortably sit inside as it is too hard to hear if there are more than two people

    Menu almost exclusively egg/potato (from roasted to french fries)/carb focused. Little to non-existent in the way of green vegetables/green salad or foods for someone wanting something non-fattening and without sauces.

    The host made us wait 20 mins beyond our reservation time. We had a 3 month old, and tables were available but she wouldn’t let us sit because one person was missing in the party.
