Dinner was delicious
I felt like I was in Tell Aviv. Can't wait to go back. Yummy
Fantastic food that was creative, beautiful and delicious. Great service.
Delicious food and fantastic service. First visit and will definitely eat there again.
Terrific food, great service. Good value and an all around nice experience.
Nice menu; good variety; high quality food; excellent, attentive service.
Food was great. The space made me feel like I'd left the UWS, which was nice for a change. A very welcome addition to the neighborhood. We shared a number of small plates - beets, cauliflower, dumplings, fattoush, lamb cigar, flat bread - all delicious. Will be back soon.
great addition to UWS with exceptional food. The wine list was disproportionately priced and limited at best and threw the price and value of the dinner off considerably. A broader range at mulitple price points would be preferable and feel less exploitative.
Food was very good. And so was our waiter but they are very. Very, very unorganized. Waited 40 minutes after reservation time to get seated. The main hostess/manager (short brunette, not the blonde woman)was incredibly rude and was not wearing a mask And I’ve never been to a Mediterranean restaurant that didn’t supply any type of bread with appetizer spreads. At their price point, thats very cheap, and cheesy. Am I supposed to shove a spoonful of hummus or eggplant spread directly into my mouth? Not one pita, slice of bread, or even a cracker! But entrees and dessert was very good
Amazing food! Must go!
as delicious as I hoped!!! Get the Bloody Mary - spicy but fantastic!
Server was awesome. So was food. My only issue was the hummus came with a lot of extra stuff but not much hummus.
Had a great brunch. Tried many different dishes. Breads amazing Roasted potatoes and shishbarak Lebanese mushroom filled dumplings were delicious!
Definitely will be back
Tops for food-from the presentation to the flavors! Before we finished the meal, we made another reservation...
Food was exceptional. Middle Eastern with a contemporary vibe.
Great food. Wish we were able to try more dishes. Can’t wait to go back
We tried a lot of different dishes and they were all amazing! Great service too!
Love our new restaurant. We really needed something to pump up our spirits and Dagon does just that. The service is terrific and the food is very good -- what there is of it for the price they are charging. The small plates are quite small -- like the Tunisian Cigar of which there was one lone cigar. Also, the Fatoush salad was delicious but somewhat small for the price.
I appreciate the wine list. The two that I chose were good. There could be a few more "by the glass" offerings.
Tasty savory food! Highly recommended!
The food was excellent. I ordered two small plates - the flash-fried cauliflower and the charred eggplant and I loved both. I also ordered the flatbread, which was excellant too. The servce was friendly and helpful.
My only negative comment is that I ordered the restaurant's take on a Cosmopolitan, and it was NOT to my likeing. It was made -- believe it or not --with Manishewitz kosher wine. The server convinced me that the cocktail was good, but he must never have tried It! The taste of the wine was overpowering. I didn't attempt to send it back because I figured that it was my own fault for ordering something so crazy!!!
Other than the cocktail, everything was great and I look forward to going back.
It’s so nice and the food is great
Amazing food. Very special.
This restaurant is absolutely fabulous! The service was terrific and the food was simply divine! The mushroom dumplings were amazing; the lamb entree was mouthwatering. Will definitely be back!
We took our 94 year old Mother for Brunch and we ALL LOVED the place, the ambiance, the server, the manager and the FOOD!!!!! We all loved the entrees and the desserts were to die for!!!
Can’t wait to go back again and also try Dinner. The menu looked amazing!!
I ordered and thoroughly enjoyed the Shakshuka with a Cactus Pear mimosa. The staff is very eager for feedback. I would definitely recommend this place to a friend
Food was delicious! Kind of strange though that when we went for brunch, it was just us and one other table at first and they sat us very close to the other table, so we simply asked to move a table over so there would be more space given these covid-times. The hostess said that the other table had been specifically asked for by a future reservation (which is totally implausible, it was just a rando table like all of the others) and wouldn't let us move anywhere. No party was seated at that table the entire time we were at the restaurant...so other than that, it was very yummy and enjoyable.
Very inventive food. Service was a little overwhelmed
Loved the Tagine!!!!
This place has such a cool environment, and it’s not that pricey. The food was amazing tbh. I’ll come back every time I’m in NYC✨ ♥️✨
Excellent food and service. Very interesting menu. Can't wait to go back.
Everything we ordered was great.
Wonderful addition to the neighborhood.
Very pleasant. It wasn’t crowded we were able to sit and talk and relax and it was just a very nice evening. The wait staff was attentive. It’s definitely a restaurant I will frequent
Very enjoyable. Attractive decor. Friendly, professional service. And the mostly Levantine menu – the Morrocan short-rib tajine is an excellent exception – is a tasty introduction to this exotic cuisine.
Best new restaurant in the neighborhood by far. We'll definitely be going back.
All around wonderful experience! Would definitely return.
Gorgeous restaurant. Great table service - but host was not attentive and let me stand at podium without greeting me for minutes. (Even if you're on the phone, and frantic - believe me I've been there - all you have to do is nod to acknowledge someone standing in front of you). Everything is over-priced. If you want a "main course" of scallops, you will get 2 (count 'em) and they will be small. I had chicken - good but not outstanding. Pureed potatoes were just ok. SO overall- beautiful atmosphere (inside and out), loud both inside and out, average everything else, which combined with overly high prices for small portions, makes this a place I wouldn't go to again.
We are SO happy Dagon has come to the neighborhood! The atmosphere is beautiful, lively and fun. The food is spectacular. It really feels like being back in Tel Aviv. Do yourself a favor, make a reservation and GO!!!
Service, food and ambience were excellent. We loved everything about it!
Second time in two weeks that we visited DAGON for dinner.
Great food, reach flavors - love it!!!
It is a nice atmosphere and energetic but too loud for a conversation - especially when everyone is wearing masks. . Every table was shouting. They should put some sound insulation in the ceiling. The food was good quality but everything lacked a distinguishing flavor. Hopefully, it will improve. Can't recommend it yet.
Great menu and options for dinner. Really enjoyed the kubaneh, the Labneh, their version of a Caesar salad, and the special bass fish. Service was good - very friendly. The wine list was nice too. Ran out of room
For dessert, but other tables seemed to be loving their choices.
what a great addition to the neighborhood. Excellent food and great service.
