Welcome to the first U.S. restaurant by one of China’s most famous and influential Chefs, simply known as DaDong. Located in the world’s most prominent location, just east of the heart of Times Square, the restaurant occupies 12,932 square feet on the second and third floors of The Cube Building.

The restaurant has two main dining rooms with the second floor offering an energetic, stylish, sexy, and slightly gritty atmosphere and the third floor offering a more refined and elegant dining room. Designed by George Wong Design, it also includes a 3,785-square-foot outdoor garden on the second floor and an 858-square-foot outdoor terrace on the third floor, along with a few private dining rooms. The entire venue accommodates over 400 guests.

It's a wonderful night we spend in Dadong. The dishes were gorgeous and services were friendly. And the dumplings for New Year as complimentary appetizer were so delicious and good for this time. We love this place!

This was out third time to the tasting floor. The meal and service were superb. The duck, with its crispy skin and minimal fat (they said about 10% of the fat of Long Island duck) was superb. Tried a number of new items, which were great. Waiter and sommelier were excellent in their recommendations, and in wine pairing. If you go for the wine pairings, be sure to choose the more expensive pairings, as they have great wines. Much better than most other wine pairings. Yes, the meal is expensive by NY Chinese restaurant standards, but it is comparable to Shanghai, Beijing and Honk Kong Chinese restaurants. In addition, it is on par with the other top end NY restaurants.

Extremely over priced and most dishes are not very good. Had the 5 course tasting menu which is NOT worth trying. Go straight for the duck which was very good, not fatty, crispy skin and delicious flavor. The Kobe beef was also good, but again not worth the high price tag for the tasting menu. The oat cakes that the chef presents to start were horrible. Extremely dry with no dipping sauce and flavors were just OK. Not a great way to start a very expensive meal. Finally the cookie dessert was terrible. A couple of cookies broken into pieces in an apricot jam. Very hot black pepper in the apricot jam, one spicy chili cookie and the others more savory than sweet. Why do these restaurants have to mess with dessert and add all those other flavors?

Tasting floor- Excellent service, beautiful room, horrific food. I still can’t believe what they served us. I’d be amazed if this restaurant survives. In this case, all those negative reviews are accurate

My wife and I chose the 4 course tasting menu plus the pea blossoms. I opted for the Wagu beef supplement and that was a big mistake. The beef was a very small portion way over cooked even that I requested very rare. My wife’s sole was delicious as well as all the other courses, esp the wonderful perfectly cooked duck. My advice is stay away from the beef and enjoy. (They did remove the supplement charge after I complained).
