Went for Mother’s Day Brunch. Top notch all the way around.
The food was good, although a bit overpriced for the quality. We liked the variety of food offered and the casual shore ambiance. We will probably return.
Dinner was just fine, service even better --- 3 beers, 1 soda, two fish and chips, two main entree's, no dessert, 4 appetizers -- 190. with tip. A bit pricey for what we got, so just know that. The wine selection I put down ... cheap 30.00 bottles of wine (red), then next step up was 60 or 70. :) , Thus the beer. Would not go out of my way to go there as there are better choices, especially in season, but nothing wrong either. In season roof top deck bar and back courtyard bars are terrific place to hang.
Prime Ribeye for $61 was not prime but tough and didn’t even resemble ribeye. Potato gratin with it was inedible. Out of 5 people, no one liked their meal.
I always love Daddy O's - it is always a fantastic dining event!
Daddy O has a great bar - the food was very good and the service excellent.
I had a fabulous meal this past weekend with my older sons. Starting off with the lobster bisque(very creamy) which wa a bit heavy for me as an appetizer but my sons loved it. I ordered the braised short rib flatbread with pearl onions that was outstanding and light. For dinner I ordered the flounder franchise over spinach and orzo. Again excellent. My son ordered the bay scallops over a sweet pea risotto, again fabulous. Our waitress Martina as attentive and detailed with her service. The atmosphere was conducive to conversation and quality time with family. I will definitely be back and highly recommend this restaurant .
Food was outstanding. Highly recommend the local flounder with orzo. Loved the beet salad-enough for two. Nice wine list. There is a great bar. The restaurant is beautiful but was very cold when we were there. Outstanding service after an initial delay getting to the table.
Great evening out! Awesome service and excellent food!
Flounder was fresh as usual. Beet salad was excellent with the honey drizzle. The key lime pie was not as smooth as the last time but the meringue was delicious.
Good food. Limited menu in the off season. Service maybe a B-. One of the better places on LBI
Fun lively place to go with friends during the summer.
this is our second time to daddy o's and it has become our favorite spot when we visit the island! the food is amazing. the drinks are great! it is some what expensive (depending on the item). but for 2 people, $115. drinks, appetizers, sushi, dinners. it is well worth it! we will be back! the roof top bar is great. live music in the bar.
I had been to Daddy O in past years. This year the menu seemed very limited. When the food was served, it was just okay. Nothing special.
Been here a few times. Always consistent quality food great service.
Service was a little slow. Bigger issue was the couple with 2 kids under 5 who were running around table and screaming. It is not a young child place.
Stayed at Daddy O's for two nights. We ate dinner the first night we were at the hotel. Dinner was very good. Our waitress was super friendly. The overall evening was perfect.
Food was not good. I ordered a heirloom tomato salad with grilled shrimp. The shrimp were not grilled and were cold.
It was supposed to have burrata mozzarella which was about one small forkful and not heirloom tomatoes but just regular tomatoes.
Dinner was excellent. Chef substituted risotto for me due to food allergy and it was excellent. The key lime pie was outstanding and worth it. We sat in the back dining room and the noise level was perfect for conversation. A good choice for all.
We go to Daddy O’s several times a season and tonight was by far the worst experience ever.
Service was terrible. Long & slow. The servers were not attentive. It took almost 30 minutes to get menus and even longer for them to return to take our order.
Once the food arrived it was good as always, but the overall experience was more than disappointing.
I stopped at the front desk on the way out to let them know, they couldn’t have been more accommodating and asked what they could do for me. I indicated I was not looking for something for nothing, I simply wanted them to let the management know is was a sub-par experience so maybe others would not experience the same.
Had a great time, great menu.
It was our 17th anniversary and then waitress did ask us if it was a special occasion. We watched the couple next to us get complimentary champagne for theirs and nothing for us.... why bother asking?
we also felt very rushed throughout the meal.
We haven’t been to DaddyO’s in a long time. We were pleasantly surprised. The menu was updated and everything we had was delicious. Still very loud, but good for a casual dinner.
The ambiance, food and service were all good. We had hoped to dine outside but there was a private party in the garden and we had our young children with us - the upstairs roof deck is a limited menu only apps and sushi so we opted for the main dining room since we were with the kids which was lovely
Fine dinner - fra diablo seafood was outstanding, as was the flounder and tuna. Good wine list, Manhattan cocktail was excellent. Waitress was excellent, and dinner variety extensive. Very nice time going over old time with a friend we have not seen here for many years.
Nice food for most part...but on pricey side. Bring wallet
Went here for our 23rd anniversary. Food was delicious and we had a nice half round booth for the two of us. Only issue was the waiter forgot about us after taking our order to see if we needed a drink refill. After tracking him down, he was on top of things so We would come back again!
Food prices within the norm for fine dining on the island but main courses limited in choice. Food presentation very nice and tasted delicious. Good appetizers too.
Drinks were expensive and the cocktails not that good (at least the ones we ordered). Service was wonderful.
I went to Daddy’s as they use to have vegan options on their menu. This is no longer the case so not a good choice for me. While I was accommodated there was only one option - it was good not great.
Condensation from AC vent was dripping on the table. Waiter was very good but never offered to move our party to a better table.
There were 9 of us and our appetizers came out very staggered so not all of us got to eat together. They forgot a soup and our beers were served warm. Food was ok, but doubt I'd go back.
The food and ambiance was great as well as the service. I was in LBI for three days and ate at Daddyo's twice. Really nice place and can't wait to go back again next year. Also my cousin hosted a party for her son/daughters in law engagement and we had a great time. The staff was amazing and service was impeccable. My favorite is the fried peppers appetizers - YUM!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
One diner had ordered a medium rare burger which was well done. Waitress offered to replace, diner opted to just eat half. Waitress deducted cost of burger off tab.
The food was definitely overpriced and nothing special. There are "homemade chips" on the menu that my family ordered as one of the appetizers- it was around $10 and tasted like stale chips from a bag, was not impressed at all. Would not go back, there are much better places on the island where you can get better food for the money.
Good place for dinner on LBI , that said don’t expect it to be as good as year round places in northern jersey or NY, at same price.
Nice menu elections but food didn’t meet reasonable standards for the price. Salads were plentiful but the falafel on one salad was tasteless of anything other than ‘fried’; the crab cake was all filler and tasted frostbitten. Staff was friendly but did nothing to recognize a big birthday which was discussed when I’d confirmed the reservation earlier than day. Disappointed.
Vacation!! Making memories. Our server Jefferson was fantastic!!
Our server was very nice. We were happy to be in the main dining room and not the large group/families room. Starters were good, but the crab cakes were very spicy and this was not noted on the menu. The server recitfied the situation with a replacement meal. I was charged for the higher priced crab cake entree.
We strolled to the roof top bar, which was not open due to the weather. It was very nice up there.
Limited menu and table was oddly shaped by emergency exit. Air was not properly working which made the experience uncomfortable. Good for happy hour but not a great dining experience
Service is great with attentive staff and nice atmosphere as well as good presentation of food. However, the food is just ok in taste for the prices.
We were a large group (7) and our overall experience was very enjoyable. Our food server, Prince, was excellent, personable, attentive but not ‘over the top’ or annoying.
Love the special Tito’s on Tap drink & that there is a donation to The Jetty Foundation. We enjoyed selections from the sushi menu (sushi pizza was very tasty) & our entrees were solid. We had three who ordered the filet & All thought it was excellent. Fish & Chips was traditionally cooked & fish was flaky & fresh. Also enjoyed the shrimp tacos. The only menu items that were average at best were the desserts...recommending skipping those.
