Way too loud, freezing cold, but the soup was delicious. Some food there is great, others not so much. Great server though. Will probably not eat here again.
We love to eat in the back garden, when possible. The ambiance is nice and the food/menu is far better than last years'
First time at DaddyOs and we absolutely enjoyed it !! Can’t believe we never went there before !! Our waitress Erin was wonderful and the environment was very just so relaxing !! Will definitely go there again!!
We are outside which was really fun. All in all the food was very tasty; however, we ordered the filet which was the most expensive item and ordered it medium rare but it came out closer to medium well. Normally we just deal with it but given the cost and the taste we sent it back and it came back once again more medium to medium well. We noticed both times the filet had a slight cut on the top almost as if someone was checking the temperature which caused it to overbook before it was brought to us. We did eat the second steak as our daughter was hungry but we did advise the server so they could speak to the chef. I was surprised and disappointed we didn’t receive some type of discount because of this but we will give it another try since everyone else was delicious. Great happy hour prices also every day from 4-7pm.
Food was really good. Waitress was friendly. Place had a nice vibe to it. Prices were high, which is pretty normal in LBI.
Have been going to daddy-o year after year. I love the ambiance of the restaurant and everyone was very nice. We started off with the calamari, which was very tasty. It was a different version of calamari because it was served with green and red tomatoes. I ordered the flounder with orzo for my entree and my boyfriend ordered the fra-diablo. Both entrees were very delicious and we enjoyed our time there. We did order drinks based on the waitress’ recommendation, and the drink tasted like cough syrup, so we had to send it back. The waitress was very accommodating and understanding when we sent them back.
Always a great experience! Waitress was outstanding!
Really great ambiance but overall a bit pricey. They have a decent kids menu, too. Rooftop bar was really great!
Place was beautiful but food and service were lacking. Food was cold and and for the price just average.
Food just fair
Food was good, not great, but good. Beautiful place, service was prompt and efficient. I just didn’t think $200 for 5 people, before tip, for pretty basic food with no alcohol or dessert was worth it
Great food, great atmosphere - went to the bar for first college football game of the season after dinner and bartender was more than happy to change the channel for us! Great place! Even better when summer crowd clears out!
A simply perfect evening. Atmosphere, service and food the perfect trifecta for a wonderful evening!!
Great food. great specialty drinks. Terrific service. However, very loud. could use some noise baffles.
Great food! Wonderful, friendly service!
Stale food and poor management and customer satisfaction. They also lied in a response to a separate review.
Amazing food, drinks and atmosphere ! Highly recommend The rooft top bar served well crafted cocktails and the restaurant was upscale, serving delicious gourmet fare.
Very fun, tasty birthday dinner for party of five. Service top notch. Would recommend!
Dinner with the family
One of the best places on the island! Highly recommend it.
We went to Daddy O's to celebrate my daughters birthday. We were 6 adults, 1 toddler and 1 infant. The restaurant accommodated our seating needs to perfection already having an extra chair at the table to put the car seat on as well as a high chair. We had plenty of room around our table to stand and hold the baby if necessary. Everyone enjoyed their food (Crab cakes, tacos, flounder, scallops) and the portions were enough for us. We each had dessert also which was decadent. (Flourless chocolate cake, crème Brule, ice cream). Prices are equivalent to most restaurants on LBI. I would definitely go again.
Food was small in portions, and pricey.
Service and food was slow
Ordered a Ceviche and they must of been running out of it because portion was very small. Also had the Cobb Salad and the shrimp and crab was warm. My wife had a Buratta salad without Burratta, again if they give you a spoon of Buratta that was a lot. Pricey for what we ate not worth the try.
Was here prior and ordered similarly off the menu. Crab cakes were a little over done, cheeseburger was tasty. We started with the lobster bisque, which was excellent. Waitress was attentive and knowledgeable. Good ambiance. The closer you sit to the bar, the noisier it is. Has a rooftop bar, but was too hot with no breeze for us.
Overall good experience. The menu options for appetizers was somewhat limited.
We had a wonderful family dinner tonight. The food was fantastic — sushi, sashimi, sandwiches, scallops, drinks. Everything was delicious.
Great service from Nate. He was super friendly, knew a ton about the menu and was very patient with our gluten/soy/dairy free family member. The place had a nice upscale city vibe to it - that we appreciated getting dressed up for and treating ourselves while on vacation! A recommend for those with a big group down in LBI!
Good choice of drinks. Food can get a little pricey depending on what you order.
We were fortunate to get a table way in the back of the dining room but it was still quite difficult to converse with our friends because of the noise level. Our waitress was wonderful, well trained and attentive. However I was not happy with my selection of fish and chips. The chips were so very salty that I had to get an order unseasoned. The portion of fish was very small and very heavily breaded. The slaw was outstanding and I wish there was a bigger portion with the order. The others in our party seemed to enjoy their selections. The dinner salad was the most generous and most well received.
We ordered 3 appetizers and it was plenty of food to share for a party of 6. Fried pickles, flatbread and wingless chicken. All the chicken was devoured. One piece of flatbread and two pickles remained. The main course orders included halibut, cheeseburgers, fish and chips and salad. The halibut was delicious. The fish and chips got a medium review. The burgers were excellent. Our waitress was attentive and friendly. We would recommend Daddy O's. Good for larger parties as well.
Upscale dining..... reserve early. We had reservations for 5:15p and there were plenty of open tables. By 7p, the place was packed. Servers are knowable and friendly. We had the lobster bisque and crab cakes. Probably some of the best ever and can compete with NYC and Philly eateries. We had a great time.
Nice ambiance and decor. Trendy vibe. Food was very good but on the pricey side. Dinner Menu also a little bit limited if dont like seafood.
My husband and I always make a date night of it here each year when we visit LBI. It’s always a nice experience whether sitting in the restaurant or at the bar listening to live music or on the rooftop deck enjoying a summer evening. The food is consistently well prepared and the servers friendly. We will continue to come back!
Excellent I will be back again for sure service was great god delicious
Food was decent until my wife discovered a filet of flounder had a number of bones. The manager insisted that their flounder sometimes has bones! We travel extensively and have never been told to expect bones in flounder! Not at $32 a plate! A nice touch with olive oil for bread, but bread was not very fresh and the small amount of olive oil was not enough for 2 pieces of bread provided. How tough is that to provide a little extra. BTW: manager did discount the cost of filet by 50% but was not very pleasant about our mentioning the bones issue. Overall, there are plenty of other options in LBI; I would suggest somewhere else.
Excellent atmosphere and food
We go to Daddy O’s every year
This year it was mediocre food was bland
Our waitress who was very good said that it has not been as busy as other years and thought that is was because of a new hotel/restaurant that opened up
I think it is because of good
Hopefully it will improve
Had the best time there!! Going back to celebrate 50th Birthday Dinner with Family!!
We took a friend out tonight for her 40th birthday dinner to Daddy O’s. The positive was that the server, Courtney, was fabulous she said she comped the items from the bill & it was $150 even. She crumpled the receipt before we could ever see it. We didn’t say anything about this only because we knew we would not be returning even if there was a balance remaining. All-in-all I would not recommend #daddyno
This was our second time to Daddy O’s. Our first time was a month ago and although service was slow because the place was packed, we enjoyed our dinner there. This second time was even slower service. Our server couldn’t get our drinks to us until we had our appetizers. Plus the food wasn’t as good as our first visit. There are plenty of other restaurants on the island so we won’t be returning here.
Great place to suit a group for drinks and food! They had options to suit the vegan , vegetarian, gluten free and picky kids and omnivorous foodie members of our family. Our appetizers outshone the mains across the board, but everyone ate well and we received excellent, friendly service from several of the staff throughout our meal. We took a visit to the roof for a post meal cocktail , but it was a little too packed for a mixed age group. Overall, we were pleasantly surprised by the ambiance and experience and will likely return. One complaint - the noodle salad (I had the tofu, another diner had the steak) was sort of wet and bland. Wouldn't recommend that dish.
