Nice, friendly restaurant. Recommended. Service a liitle speedy, owing to efficiency rather than anything else. Food was excellent and fresh. We will visit again next time we're in Poole
Whenever we visit Poole we always try and get a table at Da Vinci’s. The staff are really friendly, the food is great and if you are lucky you may even get a song! Great night out !!!
The staff were great and the food very good. The atmosphere was wonderful and enhanced by the Music and Singing. Could have been a bit longer as quite a few people got to their feet to have a dance and clap. It certainly made a great Saturday evening for us. Well done all. Sue & Ray xx
PS. Will be back soon xx
We had the scallop and prawn linguine which was good but pricey. Our experience was somewhat spoiled by having a table facing the coat rack and gents toilets. The service could only be described as brusque. We felt that they were rushing through as many customers a possible. The location of our table and the manner of service rather ruined the ambience.
The servers were friendly. The food was mediocre at best but unbelievably expensive for what it was. Surprised by the compulsory 10% service charge. Would not return. There are much better Italian restaurants in Poole.
This is a nice, traditional Italian restaurant. The staff were very friendly and efficient. Food was good too. One of us is Coeliac and the restaurant catered for this well
Lovely food, well presented. Somewhat limited menu. Tables very close inside.
First and foremost the food was lovely and that’s what we came for.
Maybe the young lad is new or a little inexperienced and some of the finer things to learn. We suggest the following. Please take the drinks order and come back for food. We don’t want to be waiting that long once we’re seated. It would normally be expected to pour the first glass of wine. The basket of cutlery only had large napkins for 2 of the 4 people seated. We weren’t offered bread with our dinner. It’s not usual to take away a persons plate when others are still eating. We noticed one of the chefs touched his nose and then a plate straight after.
All in all it was an ok experience but you could brush up on a couple of things thanks.
Brilliant food excellent service quick didn’t keep us waiting, very obliging, Nice atmosphere
Rap music playing loud, food was greasy oily pasta, will not be returning
Great atmosphere, staff were very polite and accommodating. Food was delicious, can’t wait to go back.
The food was good but the service was poor, eg we had to ask 3 times just for a glass of water! Also there was a lack of any pleasantries from the 2 gentlemen who waited on us and appeared to be in charge.
Good, attentive service, even outside on the quayside.
Food here was superb. All 3 dishes were hot, tasty and very good.
Unfortunately it was extremely busy as they also have quite a lot of outside tables. This affected the service. Both individuals we did come in contact with were friendly and smiley. They were simply to busy for the number of staff working.
Nice meal with extensive menu and very quick service. What More could you ask for.
The food was amazing, really high quality steak, great pasta (the seafood pasta came in foil which was ceremoniously unwrapped at the table, so fresh!). We started with drinks in their outside area overlooking the quay, the waiter out there had some great banter and recommended a lovely pale bottle of rose. We then moved inside (we weren't rushed despite how busy they were) and were escorted to the upstairs area where we had a table with a lovely view of the quay. Our waiter inside was a courteous yet funny chap called Ciro who had an excellent knowledge of the menu and made a couple of great recommendations to a some of my guests and was really attentive throughout.
This restaurant is ok for a holiday meal. If you are used to good quality Italian food in a big city - this is mediocre.
The people were lovely, service was slow and the food is definitely over priced for what you get.
£15 for a pizza is excessive!
Always good plenty of choices food and wine quality first class staff cheerful and friendly
Family holiday .. have eaten here a few times over the years , this was the least impressionable time.
staff were so friendly and accommodating, good was amazing great value for money
Lush meal and lush staff would go back! Staff was great with kids too
Wet weather, warm welcome especially Christian. Italian /brit pub atmosphere. Food would've been 5* except for the dry buffalo mozzarella starter. Main 5*.
Food was lovely, fresh & really tasty. A perfect evening with great service.
This restaurant does not disappoint ...everything was faultless and authentically Italian.
Booked at short notice, so glad to get a table. Staff were friendly, helpful and efficient. Menu choice was good. Food was of good standard and tasty. Desserts were a little limited and we were not informed about one choice (Cheesecake) that at least one of us would have chosen.
There were many other restaurants open on Poole Quay, but we were well satisfied with our choice.
Would we go again? Yes, definitely!
Food was good and made better by the outdoor setting however my friend who is in a wheelchair could not access the inside where our booking was originally made even though I was assured it is wheelchair friendly. Unfortunately they do not have a ramp.
The restaurant had a nice rustic Italian ambiance
Service was good /friendly staff .
food was excellent .
Amazing food and service would definitely come again
Lovely food and very friendly and helpful staff. Took our 3 year old daughter and all the staff made a fuss of her and made her feel very special. Highly recommended
A wonderful atmosphere, great service & outstanding food.
Food and service, particularly from Christian, was simply amazing. Great find and would return when in the area.
The restaurant and food was cold. Not a great experience
Great food, great service. Excellent Italian hospitality, good value for money
We took my daughter out to say well done on exams and a few other things we had a lovely meal. Little problem with my started which was soon recktevied so no problem.food was excellent and the service outstanding we live locally and it’s not the first time we have been there and it definitely will not be the last.
The staff were rude when I visited the other day, and the food is way overpriced for what you get, along with the dessert tasting off.
Great service and food. Lovely settings. We ate on Sunday evening so were treated to live music from a busker who was excellent. The food was pricey but worth it.
We are glad that you enjoyed your evening with us and the music from Chris Payn. We often have him playing outside on a nice day :)
Good service, amazing food!
We return every time and couldn’t recommended enough!
Thank you for taking the time to review us. We are very happy that you continue to support us. Thank you!
Garlic bread was cold and hard, and came out very quickly.
The adults spaghetti Bolognese was the same size and the child’s so not a very big portion. Also a bit bland.
The staff were that friendly and didn’t ask if everything was ok with the food.
Very expensive for an unimpressive meal and experience
We are sorry that your meal was not to the standard that we expect and we will investigate what happened on the weekend that you visited. Thank you for telling us
Very disappointed in the quality of the food, even though the place has a lot of potential in terms of location and ambiance. The pasta was hopelessly overcooked, under salted and in need of real olive oil. Not authentically Italian I’m afraid.
We are really disappointed that you did not enjoy your meal when you visited us. We take pride in our dishes having learnt the best at home in Calabria. We will take a look at what went wrong on the night you visited and thank you for your review as we appreciate all feedback so that we can stay at the top.
Great atmosphere and considering how busy they were - service was swift and friendly
Great to hear you had a good time with us. Thank you!
