Da Vinci Ristorante Ratings and Reviews
Classic upscale Italian restaurant. I had the gnocchi, my husband had the seafood linguine. Both were delicious. Amazing service. The tiramisu is the best I have ever had. I should add that I married into an Italian family, so the bar is high. Every aspect of this dining experience far exceeded expectations.
We hadn't been in years, and I really could not remember, however had I remembered we would have returned much sooner. Great ambience, excellent pasta, and veal chop , and instead of the house salad our waiter LAVI, suggested the house plate to start, which was outstanding, an
assortment of cheese, meats, calamari, etc. it was superb.
LAVI was one of the most engaging waiters I have ever had the pleasure of meeting, a gentleman.
We went back the next night and it was again spatular. Carlo is the best server I have ever had and made our dinner a wonderful experience. This place has it all and we have eaten all over the world and Da Vinci is at the top. We will be back when in Montreal. Food flavors especially the service and the ambiance it's all there.
Have been there several times and enjoyed the meal. This time was disappointing. Restaurant was understaffed and wait staff, though pleasant, could not provide proper service. Portions too small for the price; some meals served incomplete and cold. Not worth the hefty price tag.
Ristorante Da Vinci has one of the most pleasant staffs I have ever encountered. Not only was our waiter LAVI, friendly and pleasant but all of the other waiters were as well. We are from West Virginia and were visiting Canada so our waiter asked where we were from and struck up a conversation but at the same time gave us our alone time. The food was delicious and LAVI was very good at explaining the dishes. If we ever go back to Canada I would definitely go back to this restaurant.
We had a very early meal because of a show and the restaurant was pretty empty and we were given plenty of attention. Carlo was wonderful in serving us with care and class. Ossso Bucco was very good, and the Branzino fish was fresh. There were very lovely detail given to our seating; it was a fine dining experience. It was good, quiet, and expensive.
We had a wonderful dinner. Our waiter Lavi couldn't have been more attentive and informative. He gave us an excellent recommendation for wine to start off. He accommodated our every wish. We enjoyed a fresh salad as a starter. Our entrees were excellent and beautifully presented. We finished with the cannoli and coffee (with aperitif ). The atmosphere was delightful and we enjoyed a relaxed dining experience. Lavi made our night extra special.
It has been a memorable dinning experiance for both my wife and I.
Fine cuisine , impecable and personal service with a touch of class.
Further note, the staff went beyond the call of duty and made it an absolutely fun evening!
There passion and sincerity is tops.

If you are in downtown Montreal, you simply MUST dine at Da Vinci. The quality of the food was matched only by the charm of the wait staff. Lavie and Carlos were two of the best servers we've ever encountered. They made us feel welcomed and appreciated. Very sincere, genuine people. It's not often that one walks away from a restaurant with the feeling of having made life long friends.
If you are looking for outstanding food and service, Da Vinci is the restaurant to look to first!
Montreal has many fine dining establishments but Da Vinci is at the top of the list. We recently had a celebratory dinner for 11 family members. The restaurant is bright and welcoming and plenty of space for a large group. Lavi, the Floor Manager, took care of all our needs from cocktails, wine and dinner. The suggestion of the appetizer and dessert Da Vinci specialties were perfect for our large group. The pasta and main courses from the Tuna to the Osso Bucco were flawless. This restaurant is the epitome of service and should not be missed!
I know it was during F1 Weekend, but...these issues were not related to business of the restaurant. Tip added to the bill without any warning. Charge for water which we didn't want or drink. First course arrived while we were having our pre-dinner drinks.
The food was very good, but there are a lot of choices in Montreal and we will not be back.
Second time here and it is now a favourite! The food is amazing, only to be surpassed by the exceptional service. The waitstaff is prompt, polite and readily available to answer any questions you may have about the menu. I will certainly be returning for another meal.
