The Chef/Owner was very friendly. Went there for a special occasion and he offered us some proseco to celebrate. The waiters who knew the occasion were also very thoughtful. Definitely somewhere I would recommend. The 3-course dinner for 35 is unbeatable!

This was our first visit and we were pleased that everything was very good. Our reservation was available when we arrived - a few minutes early. The atmosphere is elegant and warm. The service was attentive, but not over-bearing. The food, while a limited selection as this was New Year's Eve, was excellent throughout the courses.

Some of the best food we have ever had in Boston. One block further than most theater restaurants, but worth the extra walk. The threee course dinner was only $35/person and was more than enough food and exceptional.

The atmosphere is very intimate and friendly; the waiter was extremely attentive and helpful. Loved the illuminated menu which made it much easier to read. The food was very good and the size of the portions was just right. Would definitely return and would also recommend it.

There are not many restaurants where the head chef and owner of the restaurant makes rounds making sure his customers are happy. It shows he cares and it is reflected in every aspect of the experience. We look forward to our next visit.

I've been there several times and it never disappoints. There prices appear to have gone up slightly since my last visit, but you have to love a place that does a pre-fixe menu all year round. Chef Peppino is so modest, and he stops by every table to see that you've enjoyed the meal. At the end we were given a complimentary glass of dessert wine. This is truly one of my favorite restaurants in Boston.

We were seated next to a walled-off portion of the restaurant. A very large party was on the other side and the wall literally kept pushing in on me throughout the night. Food was not worth the aggravation and we did not have one consistent waiter checking on us. Never again

We read reviews in this site before going to this restaurant and had very high expectations. But unfortunately we won't go back. The veal Melanese I ordered was very greasy and had strange taste to it and I couldn't even finish 1/3. My husband ordered veal special of the day and it tasted just like cheap beef stew with 10x price. Well the sides were pretty good so maybe we ordered wrong ones from the menu. But I don't want to risk again therefore we will not go back. The service was great though.

This was my third time dining here and all three times the experience has been consistently good. I would definitely recommend this restaurant. The food is wonderful and the staff is very friendly and personable and paid attention to details. Very upbeat atmosphere. Great wine selection and the tiramasu was delicious! My husband is very picky about restaurants and he just loves Da Vinci's!

Every course we ordered was wonderful - not just good, but slightly different and VERY GOOD. Save room for dessert - chocolate fans should get the chocolate souffle, but the apple "crostata" was the best fruit dessert I've ever had.
Our excellent wait staff was very helpful with our order. The chef is very social and comes out into the dining room to speak with guests. Our meal at Da Vinci's was a pleasure from start to finish!

I went to Da Vinci's because Italian food is a favorite for the person I was dining with for the evening. I am not a fan of Italian food but Da Vinci's changed my mind! Everything was delish and fresh! The waiter was very helpful with making selections for dinner and wine. He was extremely knowlegdeable - very impressive! Da Vinci's is my new spot for Italian cuisine!

This was our second visit to DaVinci, the first time on a Saturday, and we liked it as much as we did our first visit. The service from reservation to check in to wait staff is excellent. The prices are quite good for the venue and food quality (which is excellent). Our friends enjoyed it as well. It is a bit loud on a Saturday night especially since they had two tables of 12 or so people dining as well. But we could definitely hear each other and had a lovely evening. We will definitely be back.

We did not love Da Vinci... The tables were so close together that we felt constantly bumped and jostled by passing servers, bus boys, etc. After we were seated, no one came to our table for at least 15 minutes; that should never happen. Water, at least, should be offered right away, and if they were smart, an early cocktail order would mean a bigger check, after all! The food was good enough, but we will not go back as overall the experience was annoying.

Good overall experience. We had the 35$ prix-fixe menu. All the food was good, and the chocolate souffle for dessert was very good. We started with the pumpkin soup and the arancini. The pumpkin soup had great flavor but was a little too sweet. The arancini were very good but the presentation in a basket of filo dough was strange. For main courses we had the steak and the pasta tasting. The pasta was good although again, the pumpkin filling was a little sweet to my taste. The gnocchi was really good. The third pasta was a bolognese that was good but not special. The steak was also good although the portion was not well trimmed. The potato and spinach accompaniment was also good. We left happy but were not blown away.

The price fixed menu is a great deal. My husband and I both got the pasta tasting for our entree and it was excellent. The atmosphere was very romantic with dim lighting. When the waiter found out it was our anniversary he gave us an extra dessert for free as well as a couple glasses of Italian sparkling wine. Perfect place to go for a pre-show bite to eat.

Overall was a good experience. Staff was freindly and accomadating. Things to improve, service in lounge area; took over 30 minutes to get our drink orders. The Blueberry Vodka drink was delicious, but noticed the same drink in the lounge was a little diffrent from the one we got at our table. I think consistnecy is important. We just loved the light up menus. Food was delicious. Two people at our table order the sampler plate of 3 diferent pastas. They thought the red sauce was way to salty. The other two were very good. Thanks for the nice dining expereince.

Great time. The food was fantastic. THe menu was wonderful.When I say wonderful I mean the selections and the menu itself(unique and functional). We had a party of 6 and 5 of us elected teh tasting menu of 5 courses for $65. Portion are not huge for the price but definetly did not feel disappointed. Every course was superb. Chef Peppino came out to see how we like the meal and was very welcoming. He even sent over a round of Moscato for the table. Waiter was slow at times but it was a Saturday night.

We have eaten at Da Vinci a number of times and the food is always beautifully prepared and delicious. I had ordered the rack of lamb medium rare and it was cooked perfectly and served with crunchy broccolini. The weekday special of $35 for 3 courses is a great deal especially if you are partial to chocolate souffle or apple crostada.

My second visit to Da Vinci. Once again, excellent food. The evening was made special by the service. The waiters take a special pride in ensuring that everyone is totally satisfied (my wife was a little unhappy with her main dish and it was replaced without any question or hesitation). Diners receive personal attention from Chef Peppino, who was not only visibly busy in the open kitchen but who also visited our table twice and personally brought complementary desserts to us when he learned that one of our party was celebrating a birthday.

We dined at Da Vinci on Friday evening. The room is attractive with an ambiance that is not over the top. Our server was knowledgeable, attentive without hovering. Everyone's dinners and first courses were delicious. One of the appetizers, Arancini in phyllo basket was outstanding along with a very pretty presentation. The mussels were delicious as well. The swordfish with stuffed zucchini got high praise at our table. We will plan on returning in the near future along with recommending Da Vinci to friends.

First of all, we had to wait for 30 min with reservation. great way to waste time doing nothing as we couldn't drink that night for the next day.
We couldn't cancel the order although it was right after we made it, and they had more than plenty of time until it was served.
Actually, the "Beef carpaccio" was great, but other dishes were just ok or didn't taste that good and overpriced.
Servers were nice and friedly.
We were visiting Boston, so we won't go back, but even if we live there, I don't think we gonna go back here.

After we told the server we were ready to order, he ran away and didn't come back for 20 minutes. The rest of the meal was the same. The food was fine but nothing to write home about. I'd probably not go back.

The service was fantastic and the ambiance very nice. Definitely a unique place in terms of feel and mood. The food was ranged from good to very good, everything was cooked well enough but perhaps was a bit on the bland side, though I know some prefer that. Overall a very nice experience, not in my top 5 but definitely worth another try.

Consistently great food and service. We went early on a Saturday night with our 12-year-old, and the staff could not have been nicer or more accommodating. The chef came out and chatted with us, which was an added bonus. Drinks were excellent - I especially liked the red Sangria.
