Trip to NYC
We had such an enjoyable experience dining and drinking at Da Nico. The food was exceptional, the wine was delicious, and the staff was friendly and inviting. We will definitely be back again!
Great food! Quick to get you your order and was always filling up your water.
I loved this restaurant! The food was spectacular! The only negative was that our waiter wasn't very happy when I ordered a glass of house red and my husband a glass of house white. I did not see any single glass servings just bottles. I didn't want to order a bottle as we were in a bit of a hurry to get to our Broadway show. Otherwise everything was fantastic and would recommend it.
Seguro q es fantástico , cogimos una mesa por OpenTable para dos. Las 21:45 y cuando llegamos a las 21:49 nos dijeron q ya estaba cerrado
Great food and service. Bill was awesome
Wonderful service and great staff. Food was authentic Italian dishes and delicious. A must in Little Italy!
A neighborhood gem!! I recommend this restaurant to anyone visiting Little Italy.
We got a quick reservation for 10 and the service was excellent. Food was great. A great experience all the way around.
Great experience. Food quality and portions excellent. Service very good. Enjoyed Atmosphere. Almost perfect only small problem restrooms down stairs hard to get to.
Great food, but very loud. Tables close together and people around us were talking extremely loud.
The food was phenomenal, the staff was great and the service was timed perfectly
We were seated upstairs. It's very quiet there, not much ambiance. I think if I were to go again, I would request to be seated downstairs. We ordered iced tea, which was out of a soda dispenser. Really??? Ordered calamari, which was delicious. Both had pasta, and we both really enjoyed it. Good linguine alla vongole. Service was adequate.
Best eggplant parmigiana!!
Was excited to eat here for my son's birthday dinner since he loves Italian, but the overall experience fell flat. We arrived 5 minutes before our reservation time, and told to wait outside a few minutes, no problem. 15 minutes go by and others parties arrive and then seated as they waited inside. Checked in to the host table about our table and they said they were working on it. After 30 minutes we decided to wait our party if 6 INSIDE where it was warmer and we were visible to the hosts who again asked us to wait outside, but we politely declined and needed to warm up inside. Miraculously we were seated 5 mins later. The service was very much lacking as the waiter didn't seem to care about our table. I had to ask for a wine list and then again for the specials, and yet again for the desserts. The food was great, but our initial 40 minute wait time and the lack of attention from the waiter just left a bad taste in our mouth. Maybe he was having a bad day?
After booking this reservation, we arrive to find the restaurant did not have our reservation. However, they were able to seat us. We were shocked that our vaccine status was not checked, nor were any masks being worn. The service was very good, but I rated the good ok, not great, but certainly not bad.
DaNico has been my favorite NYC restaurant for 15+ years. I have not been there in quite a few years, since I moved out of Manhattan. I returned for a pre-marathon dinner with family and it again did not disappoint, remains my favorite NYC restaurant. Love, love, love it!
We had an excellent experience from the minute we walked into the door until we left. The staff was friendly and the food was delicious. Thanks for making our first night of our three days in NYC memorable!
Our server completely ignored us the entire time. We constantly had empty glasses we couldn’t ask him questions and it took about 40 minutes to get his attention for our check. He was unfriendly and horrible at serving us. The other waiters were working very hard and the bus boys
The food was amazing as was the service. Old-world charm. Many may say Little Italy is a tourist trap... not the case here to be sure. Don't miss Da Nico... whether a born and bred New Yorker or in from out-of-town!
We first ordered the Mozzarella en Carozza and I have to say they did not melt the mozzarella which I was not happy with...The Linguine with White Clams was too dry and it should technically be a little soupy but the flavor was not bad. The best dish I had was the Veal Chop special That was amazing.
The food was just ok. The sauce for the calamari tasted like Campbells tomato soup and the sauce for the pasta was bland
Great food. The wait staff went above and beyond in making us feel welcome. I will definitely come here again and recommend to all my friends.
Although we didn't get seated until 30 minutes after our reservation time (it was a Saturday night), the service was very good and the food was terrific. Thank you Da Nico's for creating a truly New York experience for our party of six.
Great food with many gluten free options. Will be going back.
I was impressed with the food and wait staff service. It took a little bit for the wait staff to come, but when they did, they were very helpful and was worth the wait. I will definitely come here again in the future!
This place never disappoints. My favorite place in little Italy.
I came to this restaurant with my family and friends to enjoy a nice dinner. In the heart of Little Italy I held high regards. And I must admit that my expectations were more than met. We experienced hospitality that felt as if you were entering their home. The staff was quick and ensured our experience was the best they could make it. With true honesty I recommend this restaurant to everyone who wants an enjoyable, warming, and delightful family dinner.
One of our favorite "Little Italy" dining spots with above average italian.
Excellent service and food! Portions are large and nice to share with another adult. Nice ambiance where we sat in the outside. back side of the restaurant. Had outdoor fans and lights. Bathroom was nice and clean.
I wanted to find a nice place to take my wife on a date, and Da Nico’s didn’t disappoint. We went on a Tuesday evening and the restaurant was largely empty inside, most seated outside. Our server was attentive, and the food was great. I look forward to visiting again.
Da Nico never disappoints, consistently great food and service.
They make yummy food
The food was really good. No complaints there. But we couldn’t tell who our server was. We had 3 different ones and none were attentive. We’d go back but if the service lacked again we probably wouldn’t.
Lovely experience. Food was incredible. Service was top notch!
Da Nico is a lovely classic Italian restaurant with a beautiful back garden where we had our dinner. Great food, service, and ambiance. Highly recommended.
