    Entering the restaurant there was no host to greet us. There was a child. To the side of the Hostess stand there was a large family obscuring the view to the bar just standing there waiting as well. The light was bright the music was low. We tried the oxtail roll to start was extremely cold and the oxtail meat was dry. My partner and I each tried one piece and left the rest on the table. The waitress didn’t ask if we were okay? If we needed anything. The bar had 3 servers and still we had to wait for our drinks even though the restaurant wasn’t busy. We asked for our check and still no one asked if we were okay. The food was overly price for the service and the quality. This was a zero star experience.

    I ordered the rum punch and the sunset and chill , drinks were good and for dinner we got red snapper and oxtail . The red snapper was good but the oxtail was not cooked enough it was slightly gummy and hard to chew . Place is beautiful and has a lot of potential . Just need minor tweaks.

    The noise level was incredible. The food other than the crab cake appetizer was terrible. My wife ordered salmon. No one told her there would a head, tail and bones Service was slow and agonizing. A 20% fee was charged for the tip. Had I a choice I would never have given the waitress that much as she was terrible. Will never go back

    The restaurant is nice. The music is a little loud and the food was good but I had to send my first meal back for being too salty. My waitress was very gracious and they changed my order without any problem. That is something that I appreciate. The bang bang cauliflower and oxtail dumpling appetizers were good as well.

    Service was spot on. Our server was attentive, knowledgeable, and friendly. Food was amazing. The oxtail dim sum were outstanding! Would definitely make a return visit and highly recommend.

    If I was to return to CZEN it would only be for happy hour not dinner I wasn’t pleased with the food. Garlic mash taste like instant potatoes. On the other hand music, atmosphere and waiter was awesome.

    Loved the food for brunch, beautiful presentation! Curry Shrimp and grits were out of this world!! Service was top notch and even though we reserved for main dining room we were still given the choice of wherever we wanted to sit! Absolutely recommend!!

    Great food at CZen Englewood. My party had the crab cakes and cauliflower as appetizers and Oxtail with the rice n peas for our main course. Every morsel was delicious.

    Second time eating at CZen I must say food spice and flavoring was much better. The ambiance as always was great. Dressy casual attire, reservations are a must as they get extremely busy.

    The food was good. The mussels appetizer could use more seasoning. Red Snapper with Thai sauce was good, better served with fried rice than white rice. Oxtails was delicious along with the rice & peas w/ a hint of coconut flavor. The music was too loud, you cannot speak in conversation tone - you must yell to be heard. I can understand after 10:30 when the DJ is playing but not before. Not sure if I would visit the restaurant again - probably not.

    I definitely had to go support my Jamaican people.  The ladies at the welcome desk were very inviting and professional. Stacy our waitress was wonderful and professional. . But the real reason I went was for the food and oh my Goodness….everything delicious and flavorful!!! I can’t wait for my next visit.

    I've been intrigued by the idea of Caribbean Asian fusion cuisine since I first saw this restaurant and was looking forward to the experience. On the night we visited, there seemed to be something awry, (i.e.: staffing - bandwidth - or the like) so I will try to not judge too harshly. When we arrived there was several women standing in front of us who appeared frustrated. A young woman approached them and said she would try to assist them. The group didn't have a reservation and wanted to sit outside. The young lady quickly escorted them to a table, but the group of ladies continued to grumble. She turned her focus to us, and we shared we had a reservation. She brought us to a two-top table with one chair. We asked to be seated against the wall with the banquette and she gladly obliged. The tables on either side of us were stacked with dirty dishes and we didn't see a server for what felt like an eternity. When she finally arrived, she was very soft-spoken and not engaging. She passively took our drink order and disappeared for quite a while. We next saw her slowly clearing the dirty dishes, but never acknowledged us. She finally returned and offered us our drinks and asked for our order. I asked about her favorite sauce for the wings, and she offered that her favorite sauce was the Berry Jerk sauce. There wasn't much conversation after that. Our appetizers were brought and presented to us in reverse, and when our entrees were delivered my husband's entree was the entirely wrong order. We couldn't find the server but a gentleman in flip flops, with a warm demeanor approached and quickly resolved the issue. Overall, the experience was disappointing from the perspective of the service and environment, BUT the food didn't disappoint. It is innovative and delicious. We will try CZen one more time to see if this was just a bad night, and hope for a more engaged and enjoyable experience in the future.

    Food was terrific however, when we arrived for our 5:45pm reservation the hostess didn't know where to seat us and had to get a manager which took over 5 minutes even though the restaurant was not even 1/8th full. Also, took forever to get drinks and refills, especially for beer which just had to be poured from a bottle. Perfect place if going to Bergen PAC and are looking for change from the usual Italian fare for a preshow delicious meal.

    My husband and I were headed to Bergen Pac for the first time in years and carefully researched restaurants nearby and selected Czen due to reviews and the unique menu options. As an aside we had met there on a blind date over 12 years ago when it was Grand Cru and to be honest not much had changed with the decor so we had some smiles for the nostalgia. I honestly rarely would put time into this and don't enjoy talking about small local businesses in this manner but I believe important. So here goes.....First, our server was completely indifferent and really couldn't be bothered but most importantly when we asked questions about the food she had little to no knowledge. Additionally, I want to say to the owners that overall the staff who most were very nice seemed very unseasoned to run a restaurant on a Sat night. Our table wasn't cleared from appetizers until I called someone over and our 2nd round of drinks honestly took forever and came 10 min apart. Second, the dishes sounded creative and interesting on the menu, but unfortunately the taste and flavors described just weren't there. My husband ordered the Salmon dish which was highly recommended and it was overcooked, dry and lacked flavor. He barely ate it! Also, we love trying new places and we never mind paying for a great meal but $16 for a single medium sized eggroll was just exorbitant. The drinks were tasty and bar staff was friendly so thank you for that! I'll end with it was sad to see the restaurant 1/2 full with a show at Bergen Pac right next door and unfortunately we won't be returning which makes me a bit sad because as mentioned was the place of our first date.

    Based on Instagram post, I was excited to explore this new dining experience. The fusion of Asian and Caribbean seemed really appealing. I will start by saying I’ll give this restaurant a fair amount of grace seeing as it’s been open since October… Which means about eight months. The service was excellent. The drinks were perfect. The bartender is super talented. The food, on the other hand, leaves a lot to be desired. The flavor compositions just aren’t there. The wonton crisps that come to the table are great. The oxtail sushi is very mushy. The crispy rice isn’t crispy at all. The seared tuna on top doesn’t pair well with the crispy rice as the seared tuna, mostly taste, burnt and bitter. The lobster pineapple fried rice is drenched in way too much sauce. There is not enough lobster in the rice. Aside from the decorative fried lobster on top, I found just a couple of pieces of lobster within the rice. The rice seem like it was white rice in a bag of frozen mixed vegetables. Not at all what I expect from an authentic asian fried rice experience. If in the area, I will return for drinks, as the bartender was excellent. I would never go out of my way for this restaurant. I would not return for the food.

    CZEN Englewood was phenomenal. Great food! Between the 6 of us dining, we tried almost everything on the brunch menu and it was divine. The stuffed french toast, the chai waffles and lobster, the ackee and saltfish, the festival, the chicken and waffles...every flavor was unique and delicious. There was a DJ playing good tunes but the volume was perfect so that we could talk and catch up but still enjoy the music playing in the background. Our servers were attentive and polite. I will definitely be back!

    We paid over$100 for a very small red snapper, an equally small leg and thigh portion of jerked chicken. The appetisers were better than the main courses. We were asked what was the occasion which was our 45th anniversary and never announced or acknowledged. Why ask?
