Cypriana

Restaurant was closed due to Covid restrictions (Baltimore City) but Open Table and the website did not indicate that, so we drove for an hour only to turn around and go home and eat in Baltimore County.

Amazing! Chef Maria is the best!!!

everything was very good. however, i think for ethical reasons that servers should be trained to disclose the fact they they have added a "20% covid relief service fee" to the check and then taxed it with the sub total. i don't have a problem at all ensuring support to the service industry during this pandemic, but i almost missed it and tipped an additional $46.00 in gratuity that i doubt would have been recognized as an error or mishap and then brought to my attention. before i was gone out the door. Some people just glance at their bill and trust they are being treated fairly and accurately. i'd rather avoid staring at my bill like an accountant doing an audit with meticulous attention to detail, after i've enjoyed an evening on a date with someone. beyond that, everything else was great. both food and drinks. give them a shot!

Cypriana is a neighborhood gem, serving excellent Cyrpriot/Greek dishes at reasonable prices. Atmosphere is cheery and friendly.

Our service and the food were amazing. Truly a memorable anniversary experience and we will most certainly be back, probably within the week it was so good! Thank you for an wonderful evening!

Our waiter “Shaq” was amazing. Very attentive, informative and engaging. He help to make my lady’s birthday dinner very special.

He is the absolute best and we intend on returning, my reservation will come with a request for Shaq.

We went at 5pm on a Sunday and it was very quiet, but a few other tables filled over the next hour. Food was excellent Mediterranean food with a Cypriot accent. Our party just ordered small plates and drinks. We shared three small plates per person and a platter of pit bread and hummus, which was very tasty. We were stuffed and had leftovers to take home. We split one order of pistachio baklava, which was superb. We enjoyed their wonderful cocktails and tried Greek wines, which were very good. Highly recommended. Only thing is that parking in this neighborhood can be tough but we readily found a spot a couple of blocks away.

Felt safe eating inside. Owners offered the option of eating outside. They were ready to set up another table out there for us. They couldn't be nicer - food was amazing. Queeny, our server, helpful with selection ideas, and super sweet. Chef/owner made us feel like family. Our first visit and we'll be back again.

Overpriced menu - mediocre food, ambiance dismal.

Good Greek food in pleasant outdoor seating- the lighting could be much better, and they will need heaters outdoors very soon !

I'm going to start out my 5-star review with a complaint. When we sat down, seated quickly in their innovative outdoor island seating, we were not served for 20 minutes and no one came by our table. The manager was doing his rounds and looked at our table with nothing on it and had a look of horror on his face, apologized profusely, and immediately went to find out who was supposed to cover or table. He came back with the server who took our orders (finally). After the server took our orders he returned with a complimentary hummus appetizer that was excellent. He made sure to check on us and had another server also following-up to make sure we were treated well for the rest of dinner.

The food was excellent and the service that we say at other tables was speedy and timely as expected. LSS it was a great restaurant with a bad server but personable management who cares about the customer experience. We'll go back again.

Food is delicious, if perhaps a bit overpriced. They won’t seat you until your whole party arrives, so just be aware of that. I would go back for date night or dinner with a friend, but I wouldn’t book for a group of people.

The food is good, not great. The service was very slow even though the place was empty. I went to give Cypriana another try but I will not be back.

The food was excellent- some of the best hummus I've had. Very friendly staff and lovely ambiance.

I booked the dinner reservation for my 60th Birthday. I was pleasantly surprised they had dining outdoors in front of the restaurant. I thought it was a cleaver solution to practice social distancing during the pandemic.

They are making the best of a bad situation. Food was good, wait staff was attentive. Manager walking around seemed a bit gruff to others.

We’ve been coming here for 2 years. The food is unbelievably good. We have never been disappointed. It is all made from scratch with top quality ingredients, typically sourced from Mediterranean

Our food was delicious and the set-up outdoors was safe and comfortable. While I gave service only 3 stars, our server was excellent. What wasn’t excellent was discovering after we got home that a 20% covid service charge had been imposed. It was pretty dark at our table and we couldn’t read the check well so gave an additional large tip. The server should have told us (the owners should have trained them to do so) or the menu should have stated that such a charge would be imposed.

LovE this restaurant! Maria has a passion for her food and patrons who come to her restaurant. We like having a neighborhood spot that has been able to regroup and open outdoor dining during Covid. Well done.

Great atmosphere.

Really nice evening outside enjoying delicious food with every attention given to safety, comfort, and service considering the current cluster we are all sharing. Maria has done an amazing job and should be very proud. Highly recommend!

The outdoor dining is in the very large and scenic median strip. It is beautiful. Parking is in the lot across the street and is free. 20% Covid gratuity is added in. Traffic cones slow the cars on both sides of the street. The octopus is excellent.

The food is always delicious. Chef Maria works magic in the kitchen. Love the new outdoor seating. We have enjoyed many fun nights here and it is one of our favorite places to eat and relax.

Although the food was very delicious, the service was lacking. We ate outdoors at a well-spaced table and the staff appeared to be taking appropriate covid precautions. Hummus and cheese and spinach pies were scrumptious as was the homemade pita. The lamb shank was quite lovely too. The meal would have been better if the staff had been more attentive and we were told about the 20% covid surcharge. Husband stayed to pay for our check which we gauged would take extra time given the earlier service. We don’t mind paying a surcharge but it was not mentioned at all.

We love Cypriana and are grateful for their fabulous outside dining area! But with this said, we were there on a very busy night and 4 of us were sat at a small four top table which made it hard to juggle the myriad of dips and appetizers we ordered. Our waitress did not pace our food like we asked and our entrees came out on top of our appetizers with no where to put our dinner. We wound up frustrated and skipped eating most of our appetizers and in frustration told the bus boy to just take them. Our waitress also brought out a wrong entree, which was her mistake because 3 of the 4 of us witnessed what was ordered. She then blamed our friend that he gave the wrong order which was untrue. Our small table had stacks of empty dishes piled in the middle of the table the whole meal...our water glasses remained empty after asking for a refill 3 times. If your waitstaff is overwhelmed, your busboy is overwhelmed, shouldn’t the manager or owner be walking around helping to fill at the very least water glasses? While Covid calls for crazy business circumstances, at least in my business we all roll up our sleeves to pitch in. A 5 for delicious food and a 1 for poor waitstaff.

The outdoor seating area was very nice and enjoyable. Service was very good as well. The food was delicious. Everything we got was quite tasty and flavorful. Owner walked around making sure everything was satisfactory. Would definitely go again.

I know it's tough in COVID times to serve a great meal. The service was excellent considering the beautiful night and the completely filled outdoor (well-spaced!) seating area. The food was mediocre for the price. Will try the "street food" and flatbreads next time -- the kabobs and meatballs we just OK, the hummus was great as it always is, and the moussaka was decent. Not sure if Open Table lets you know, but there is a 20% COVID relief service charge on top of which you should tip if so inclined. we did, and felt good about it b/c service was great and it was good to finally go out!

Ate outside at Cypriana, where they have set up a lovely dining experience on the median in front of the restaurant. Tables all spaced out. It was a beautiful evening, service was super attentive, and the food was delicious. I am a big fan of Cypriana!

Had a fantastic outdoor experience at our favorite restaurant for special family occasions. We were there to celebrate our daughters bday. The tables are in the median on a quiet street and it works perfectly!!! We had a lovely night and the food was exceptional as always!!!
