Went with a small group for Mezze Madness. We all shared a plethora of delicious items from the menu (falafel, meatballs, moussaka, cucumber salad, stuffed grape leaves, etc...) for a great price of $35/pp. Greek red wines are outstanding and there is a nice variety of beers. Server was attentive.
Wonderful experience at Cypriana's Mezze Madness. Our server, Evelyn, was excellent - super friendly, attentive, always hustling! All of the dishes that we tried were wonderful! Highly recommend - we'll definitely be back soon!
One of my go-to favorites. Excellent food, excellent ambiance. So pleased to see it crowded on a Monday night; best to make reservations. Chef Maria and husband Vassos are welcoming and circulated among the diners. The food is fresh and made to order. Topnotch place. Will return soon.
Everything was delicious! Friendly and knowledgeable wait staff. We’ll definitely go back.
Our server Ben was phenomenal. He had an excellent understanding of the menu, knew the wines inside and out, and was overall a friendly guy. The food was outstanding as well. Chef maria’s menu lives up to the hype. Definitely check it out if you haven’t yet. A Baltimore must-do restaurant.
The food was absolutely delicious, and easily the best Mediterranean food I've eaten in a very long time. I would definitely recommend Cypriana and look forward to our next meal there.
We’re so kind
Always enjoy my meal-the staff is friendly and I don’t mind when the kitchen gets backed up. I never miss a chance to spend dinner here!
Cypriana is the best restaurant in the North Baltimore, Roland Park, Homeland area.
Just discovered this little gem. Appetizers and small plates are excellent. Main entree ok
Oot attention paid to oversalted potatoes, overcooked beef tenderloin. Could be very good, just not attention paid in the kitchen.
Food was delicious! Service was slow. Maybe our server was new. Did I say the food was delicious??
Great food and great drinks. You will love it all.
Great service and delicious food. Drinks were fair.....
Could be stronger
Fantastic gem of a restaurant very close to Johns Hopkins.
Food is always amazing. Don’t miss the made-to-order pita. It’s the stuff dreams are made of. Fun to share a bunch of small plates.
One of the best restaurants in the North Baltimore area. The food is wonderful, the staff knowledgeable and efficient, and the service supreme.
We had the most wonderful meal last night. Fantastic small plates of Falafel, hummus with eggplant, and vegetarian grape leaves....one was better than the next. We both had the whole grilled bronzini and loved it. But, but, but...we were seated next to where the servers and busboys congregate outside the kitchen and unfortunately this staff was loud and talking poorly about some of the guests while doing their side work the whole time we ate. I suggest you ask your staff to limit this while next to dining patrons...it was kind of unsavory and mean. Yet, overall we loved our meal and the friendly owners and will be back!!
Perfect place for a pure-gala dinner. We felt like we were in Greece enjoying our special dinner!
Excellent first visit to Cypriana! After talking with our server and the owner, we realized that the Cypriana restaurant was owned/operated by the same people that ran the Cypriana Cafe that we used to frequent often in downtown Baltimore before it closed to relocate! The food and the service is at the same high level that I remember! Our food was wonderful - spinach/cheese pies, Greek salad, chicken soup, lamp shank and chicken tenderloin with pita bread were all delicious! Our server was wonderful! We will definitely be returning...often!
Wonderful service and fabulous owners who took their time to stop by our table to chat. Delicious specialty martinis! The food, especially the lamb chops, gyros, and chicken are amazing!
Fabulous food, beverages and service. Easy parking. Wonderful dining experience!
Maria and Vassos are
My favorite Greek restaurant. Lamb shank is excellent!
1st, parking is across the street in Cypriana's own lot--it's not listed on the website. 2nd, be prepared for a mark up on lamb chops, if you order them. I wasn't told that they were going to be "market price" until the bill came out, (which was a 98% mark up from what's on the menu.) Other than that, the food was pretty good, esp the mushroom bisque, and the octopus. I also had the tenderloin kabob, which was excellent, but you only get one kabob. Interestingly, I wanted the pork belly, but was told that it wouldn't be ready for another 30mins. What? Also, when I ordered dessert, was told they were already out of one---on a Saturday at 7pm? I find it odd that a restaurant that was voted as one of the top restaurants in Baltimore ran out of food on 2 items on a menu on a Saturday at 7pm. Regardless, what I ate was pretty good. Atmosphere--preppy, blue hair, but just what you expect in Roland Park/Guilford/ University area of town. Thank goodness they're not so snobby that they DO serve Natty Boh, like all good Baltimore establishments do. Everyone is pretty friendly there, and they really welcome you--the restaurant is nice looking too. Couple hiccups to the meal as mentioned, but really solid food.
Food is always fantastic! Always worth the trip! I cannot recommend the octopus enough!!! Gluten free pitas are a nice treat as well. Really great for allergies, never had an issue and I'm very sensitive to gluten, dairy, and soy.
their salmon dish is great but the two sides are inedible.
i'm not sure why the chef is inflexible in changing this.
it's bizarre really
I love Cypriana as a neighborhood restaurant. My last visit (Oct 9) was every bit as pleasant, but I noticed that the food is saltier than I remember. I generally eat a low sodium diet so it's fair to say I do notice salty food, but this time it seemed overdone, the kind of salty that stays in your mouth afterwards. For everyone's health, young and old, I would suggest that Cypriana be more conscious of this with their food preparations, and ease up on the addition of salt.
Thank you for being here!
Parking was difficult and I almost didn’t go because there was no valet. Parking space came open at the last minute.
This was our third visit to Cypriana and the food never disappoints. The service was attentive but slow.
We were there on a Sunday night so the restaurant was not filled and so the ambiance and sound were nice. The owner and chef were very personable and wanted to know how satisfied we were with our meal.
Food is very good. The noise level was horrible. I was not able to hear my friends' conversation across the table. This ruined my dinner. Not coming back. I stopped going to La Marketa for the same reason. I have been in Europe to many restaurants. Never encountered such loud noise. Attention restaurant iwners.. It starts with proper attention to acoustics and ceiling tiles, padding on the walls. Not that difficult.
Love this pace for a special night out or for a late night snack at the bar. Great food and wonderful staff!
Excellent food. It was a busy Saturday night and there were a few missteps with the sequence of our dishes, but they were perfectly prepared and delicious. The kitchen was also very accommodating to my friend's dietary restrictions, which isn't easy to do. I'm looking forward to my next visit. Oh, and I forgot to mention they have their own parking lot - a must in this neighborhood!
Food was delicious. Wait staff and the owner were all super friendly and helpful
Food is always fantastic and the service is attentive and prompt. Great place to bring guests, everyone I've brought here has also loved it. Cannot recommend the octopus enough!!! Do you know how hard it is to even find octopus in Maryland, let alone octopus THAT good?? I'm on a never ending quest for good Mediterranean food, and this is the best! Definitely worth visiting, you won't be disappointed.
My first time to Cypriana, there will be many more visits in the future. The flat bread pizza was so good, we almost ordered a 2nd. Small plate menu allowed us to try several dishes. The Falafels were the best I've ever had, we did order a 2nd plate. The gem of the evening was the Grilled Octopus with Red Quinoa and Tabouli. Seating inside and out with free parking across the street.
Great service and a wonderful family birthday meal
Friendly staff. Relaxed atmosphere. Enjoyed sitting on the patio. Food was delicious. And free parking!
I’ve been here’s several times & this time, just so-so. The appetizers were good. The bartender, Luca was wonderful. We both had the tenderloin skewers & it was pretty tasteless. We’ve certainly enjoyed Cypriana’s but hopefully next time will be better.
When were seated my wife commented to Maria, the chef, that she was cold. Maria brought her a pot of herbal tea and honey. As usual, the food was delicious .
